With diverse changes in cosmetology industry, there has been a rising demand for more professional knowledge and cosmetologist license level among cosmetologists. Among cosmetologist licenses, the highest license is ‘master craftsman cosmetology’ which is earned by skilled cosmetologists. Even though ‘master craftsman cosmetology’ requires a decent amount of money and efforts, it’s been little used in practice. As a result, the license holders haven’t been properly treated. This study reviewed qualification systems in cosmetology by changes in industrial structure and cosmetology environments and examined the concept & construction, problems and improvement direction of the master craftsman cosmetology system. It’s anticipated that the study results would help cosmetologists understand ‘master craftsman cosmetology’ and its current status, envision their future and prepare a master craftsman cosmetology test.

In the field of green environmental design, the design system of environmental art is a complex and multidimensional cross-domain fusion system, which can be regarded as a large task system. The development model that combines artificial intelligence (AI) technology and green environment design can not only integrate and analyze problems quickly and efficiently but also provide designers with new design ideas, gradually extending traditional environment design concepts, producing more diverse artistic creation methods, and shifting from a fixed application model to a more diversified artistic development. Therefore, on the basis of summarizing and analyzing previous research works, this paper expounded the research status and significance of green environment design, elaborated the development background, current status, and future challenges of AI technology, introduced the network topology and platform frame structures of green environment design under the AI background, constructed a technical framework of green environment design under the AI background, analyzed the methods and principles of program design and function development, proposed the application model of green environment design under the AI background, conducted design function model optimization and intelligent design process analysis, and finally discussed the evaluation indicators and hierarchical analysis of the green environment design under the AI background. The results show that the application mode of combining AI technology and green environment design can not only help designers break through traditional time and space barriers and use multidimensional thinking but also help designers have a new understanding of artistic design concept and give full play to the advantages of artificial intelligence in a green environment. The study results of this paper provide a reference for further research on the application mode of green environment design under the AI background.

Security personnel are the first ones who attend the scene in the case of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) at malls. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is not enough for those patients; they need an automated external defibrillator (AED) to bring the heart to function normally. This study aimed to assess the current status of CPR and AED knowledge and availability in Saudi malls by security personnel. Using a descriptive design, a study was conducted at seven malls located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Two hundred and fifty participants were surveyed using the American Heart Association (AHA) 2015 guidelines to assess CPR and AED knowledge and availability in Saudi malls. The sample mean age was 32.60 years (SD = 10.02), and 87% of participants were working as security personnel. The majority of the participants had not received training about CPR and AED (75.8% and 95.2%, respectively). Common misconceptions are fallen into all categories of CPR and AED knowledge. Correctly answered statements ranged from 7.2% in the compression rate to 24.2% in hand placement. The study results indicated a poor training knowledge of CPR and AED in public settings. Integrating high-quality CPR and AED knowledge within the school and college curricula is a vital need. However, in order to maximize the survival rate, it is important to set laws and legislation adopted by stakeholders and decision makers to advocate the people who try to help, mandate AED installation in crowded places, and mandate teaching hands-only CPR and AED together as a package.

In this study, we defined new energy generation inputs as the installed capacity of solar energy, wind power, geothermal energy and biofuel production, and we defined electricity from new energy as an output indicator. Based on panel data in OECD and non-OECD countries from 2007 to 2016, we used stochastic frontier analysis to calculate the efficiency of new energy generation and analyzed the influencing factors. We found the following results: the efficiency of global new energy generation is improving; the energy price, technological progress and education level have positive impacts on the efficiency of new energy generation; and industrial structure and opening up have a negative impact on the efficiency of new energy generation. Based on our study results, we offer some recommendations to promote the development of new energy generation.

Higher education and research for socioeconomic development are well recognized in developed and developing countries. Studies have shown that a high participation rate in higher education with a high share of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education is critical for competitiveness in the global market. Nepal would not fulfill people’s aspirations for prosperity by perpetuating the status quo scenario of the education system. This study aimed at exploring and assessing the factors influencing science and technology education in Nepal and tried to assess the current status of science education and critically examine the factors affecting the development of science education in Nepal. The study used both primary and secondary data. The primary source of data is from interviews, observations, focused group discussions, and semistructured questionnaires. Secondary data were collected from National Examination Board, universities, colleges, and campuses. The study found a decreasing trend of student enrollment in science and technology (S&T) education in Nepal. In addition, the results revealed a decreasing trend of women students, so it should be taken as a matter of concern. Some key bottlenecks identified were insufficient and broken physical infrastructures (classrooms, laboratories, and libraries); inadequate and incapable human resources; and improper management practices. However, the study results show positive perceptions of society towards S&T education in Nepal. The study recommends developing modern infrastructures, building human resources, and improving management practices for better S&T education.

AbstractThis work reviews the literature of 46 peer-reviewed papers and presents the current status on the use of psychoacoustic indicators in soundscape studies. The selection of papers for a systematic review followed the PRISMA method. Afterwards, descriptive analysis and principal component analysis (PCA) were realised. For the PCA, the following parameters extracted from the papers were analysed: psychoacoustic indicator, hypothesis, statistical units, data collection method and major findings for each investigated psychoacoustic indicator. The results show an overview of the use of psychoacoustic indicators, through main hypothesis and findings for each psychoacoustic indicator i.e. the importance of statistical units, such as percentiles, to investigate the hypothesis related to the description of auditory descriptors and perceptual attributes. Another important finding is that many papers lack the specification of computation methods limiting the comparability of study results and impeding the meta-analyses.

Channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) is one of the endemic fishes of North America with the greatest potential for aquaculture. Despite this, data of its current distribution is scare and many aspects of its dynamic and productive performance remain unknown. In the present study, results are reported from a literature search and field analysis for describing the current status of channel catfish in Mexico regarding its historical and current geographical distribution as well as the problems faced by fish farmers and production systems. We were able to identify a lack of information and indicators to properly assess the extent of the species natural habitat and its productive potential. The quality and availability of water are among the main problems of the industry. Food costs represent the larger cost-loss for producers and there is great heterogeneity on the management of both breeding and production farms. Much of the production dynamics follows a pattern of trial and error. It became clear the need to optimize and standardize the processes on the channel catfish production system and to properly characterize domestic and wild populations to maximize their potential.
