Background: The hormonal up-regulation and down-regulation in recalcitrant seeds, on the other hand, has received little research. We tested fou plant growth regulators from distinct families of phytohormones at the same time to better understand their differential input from maternal tissues to growing Syzygium cumini seeds. Methods: During April-June 2020, seeds were collected in their native habitats in the Western Ghats. Seeds were chosen at random from each treatment. The embryonic tissues of seeds were chopped up and frozen for LC-MS/MS hormonal profiling. Result: Except for ABA, the dynamics of key plant hormones in this recalcitrant seed were identical to that of desiccation-tolerant orthodox seeds. When compared to other conventional seeds, SA was shown to accumulate at an unusually high level in mature embryonic tissues, demonstrating the highly hydrated seed’s defense mechanism against fungal attack following seed shedding.

Kinetin-like substances in developing oak seeds have been investigated. The methods of extraction, fractionation, paper and column chromatography and bioassays, demonstrated that an active cell division factor appears in various phases of seeds development. A high level of this substance has been found mainly in developing acorns. In the course of thier ripening this level decreases considerably.

The influence of application of the preparation Albit on formation of seed productivity of supplemental potatoe material The article presents the results of research on the influence of methods of application of the complex drug Albit on the formation of potato productivity in the process of reproduction of pre-seed seeds in the south-western part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. In the course of research, it was established that in order to achieve a high level of realization of biological potential of culture and product quality in cultivation of additional seed material of potatoes, it is advisible to conduct the procedure of processing of tubers at planting Albite 100 ml / t and spraying twice in the phase of germination and budding of vegetative plants with the preparation at a dose of 50 ml / ha. AbstractThe fruits of Quercus robur are shed containing seeds at high moisture contents which remain desiccation sensitive and exhibit recalcitrant storage behaviour. Little is known of the control of seed development in these and other recalcitrant seeds. In the present work the changing concentrations of four plant growth regulators during seed reserve accumulation was studied over five years on seeds from the same tree. The pattern of reserve accumulation and changing ABA content in seeds differed between years. Although ABA content in the cotyledons increased in line with increasing dry weight to different contents at shedding, similar concentrations existed in cotyledons in each year. Thus ABA did not appear to be influencing dry weight accumulation. However, unlike orthodox seeds the decline in ABA concentration prior to shedding was limited and consistent with a continuing role for ABA in preventing precocious germination. An earlier peak in ABA concentration was associated with greater desiccation tolerance at shedding across years. The concentrations of zeatin and zeatin riboside in cotyledons were similar in each year and declined during reserve accumulation in a similar fashion to that reported for orthodox seeds. By contrast, IAA concentration increased in both the cotyledons and axes in the latter stages of seed development, opposite to that reported for orthodox seeds. It is possible that the increasing IAA concentration in cotyledons and axes and the stable concentration of zeatin and zeatin riboside throughout the latter stages of development in the axes of Q. robur are linked to the maintenance of active metabolism for the rapid initiation of germination upon shedding observed in seeds of this species.

В статье представлены результаты изучения влияния регуляторов роста (гиббереллин в концентрации 100 мл/л и мицефит в трех концентрациях - 1, 10 и 100 мг/л) при обработке растений винограда сорта технического направления использования Солярис перед цветением и в период постоплодотворения, на формирование биологических показателей центральных почек зимующих глазков. Рассчитаны коэффициенты плодоношения (К), плодоносности (К), и продуктивности (К), и сделан анализ центральных почек зимующих глазков по длине однолетнего побега, имеющего наибольшее практическое значение (по 10 глазкам). Для установления потенциальной закладки эмбриональных соцветий в центральных почках зимующих глазков на растениях, обработанных гиббереллином и мицефитом, использован метод микроскопирования. Выявлено, что в вариантах обработки растений сорта Солярис регуляторами роста отмечена высокая закладка эмбриональных соцветий в центральных почках зимующих глазков по длине побега, т.е. под урожай будущего года. В целом по всей длине побега максимальные значения коэффициентов плодоношения, плодоносности и продуктивности зимующих глазков оказались в вариантах обработки гиббереллином перед цветением и мицефитом в концентрации 10 мг/л в период постоплодотворения. Этому способствовала наибольшая закладка плодоносных глазков с 2-3-мя соцветиями. Лучший вариант для снижения длины обрезки плодовой стрелки выявлен в варианте обработки мицефитом в концентрации 10 мг/л в период постоплодотворения, где коэффициент продуктивности составил 1,52 в зоне 4-го глазка. This article presents the study results of the influence of growth regulators (gibberellin in concentration of 100 mg/l and mycephitis in three concentrations - 1, 10 and 100 ml/l) when processing grape plants of the winemaking variety ‘Solaris’ before flowering and during post-fertilizing period on the formation of biological parameters of central buds of the wintering eyes. The coefficients of fruiting (К), potential fruiting capacity (К), and productivity (К) were calculated along with the analysis of the central buds of wintering eyes lengthwise the annual shoot of the most practical value (for 10 eyes). Method of microscopy was used to establish the potential laying of the embryonic inflorescences in the central buds of wintering eyes in plants processed with gibberellin and mycephitis . In the variants of processing plants of ‘Solaris’ variety with growth regulators, a high level of laying of the embryonic inflorescences in the central buds of wintering eyes lengthwise the shoot was observed, i.e. for the crops of next year. In general, maximum values of coefficients of the fruiting, potential fruiting capacity and productivity of wintering eyes lengthwise the shoots were identified in the variants of processing with gibberellin before flowering and mycephitis in concentration of 10 ml/l during the post-fertilizing period. It was promoted by the biggest laying of fruiting eyes with 2-3 inflorescences. The best option to reduce the length of fruit cane pruning was revealed in the variant of processing with mycephitis in concentration of 10 ml/l during the post-fertilizing period with the coefficient of productivity obtained - 1.52 in the level of the 4th eye.

The influence of 24-epibrassinolide on the efficiency of regenerants obtained from embryonic calli formation was studied in wheat cultivars contrast for drought resistance. The possibility of using the experimental model system «immature embryo – embryonic callus – regenerant» in the rapid assessment of the effect of antistress plant growth regulators is shown.
