This study aims to determine differences in conceptual understanding of students who are taught using the Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transfering (REACT) model with students who are taught using conventional models and to describe the improvement in conceptual understanding of students in class XI SMA Kemala Bhayangkari on Acid Basa material. The form of research used was a quasi experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design research design. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIA SMA Kemala Bhayangkari Kubu Raya for the academic year 2019/2020, totaling 62 students. The sample selection technique was carried out by simple random sampling. The data collection technique used was a test of students' conceptual understanding. Data analysis used Shapiro-Wilk test, Levene statistic, U-Mann Whitney and N-Gain calculation. The results of data analysis using the U-Mann Whitney test obtained an asymp.sig (2-tailed) value of 0.208, which means that there are differences in conceptual understanding between students taught using the REACT model and students taught using conventional models.. Based on the N-Gain calculation, it is known that the REACT model can improve students' conceptual understanding by 0.42 in the moderate category.

This study aims to describe the effect of application of SQ3R method and PQ3R method to students' reading skill. This research uses experimental method, Quasi Experimental Design research form with Nonequivalent Control Group Design design. Population in this research is all student of Study Program of Language and Literature of Indonesia semester 6 which amounted to 243. The sample used is class C Morning and class C afternoon obtained by simple random sampling technique. The technique used is the measurement with the tool in the form of reading test in the form of multiple choice which amounted to 30 items. Data analysis technique used in this research is anava 2 lane. Based on the result of data analysis, it is known that the application of SQ3R method and PQ3R method is good with the details as follows: (1) The average value before given treatment 20,476 with enough category; (2) the average application of the SQ3R method is 22.097 with good category; (3) the average percentage of PQ3R method is 22,045 with good category.   Keywords: method SQ3R, PQ3R method, read     Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan metode SQ3R dan metode PQ3R terhadap keterampilan membaca mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen, bentuk penelitian  Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia semester 6 yang berjumlah 243. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas C Pagi dan kelas C sore yang diperoleh dengan Teknik simple random sampling. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu pengukuran dengan alatnya berupa tes membaca berupa pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 30 butir soal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah anava 2 jalur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diketahui bahwa penerapan metode SQ3R dan Metode PQ3R tergolong baik dengan rincian sebagai berikut: (1) Nilai rata-rata sebelum diberikan perlakuan 20,476 dengan kategori cukup; (2)  rata-rata penerapan metode SQ3R sebesar 22,097 dengan katergori baik; (3) persentase rata-rata metode PQ3R sebesar 22,045 denga kategori baik.   Kata kunci: metode SQ3R, metode PQ3R, membaca

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of conceptual understanding procedures learning model to students' strategic competencies taken from student post-test results. The study was included in quasi Experimental Design research involving 41 students consisting of two classes taken from five classes with porposive sampling techniques. The data collection technique used is a test instrument with a significant level of 5%. The results showed that the average strategic competency ability of experimental class students was 61.7, while the average strategic competency ability of control class students was 51. Based on data analysis from the t-test hypothesis that has been done, the results showed t-count > t-table (2.43 > 1.69) so that Ho was rejected and Ha accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning model is effective against the strategic competencies of students in the material of building flat-sided rooms in grade VIII junior high school.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran Conceptual Understanding Procedures terhadap kompetensi strategis siswa yang diambil dari hasil post-test siswa. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian Quasi Eksperimental Design yang melibatkan 41 siswa yang terdiri dari dua kelas yang diambil dari lima kelas dengan teknik porposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, rata-rata kemampuan kompetensi strategis siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 61,7, sedangkan rata-rata kemampuan kompetensi strategis siswa kelas kontrol sebesar 51. Berdasarkan analisis data dari uji hipotesis uji-t yang sudah dilakukan, hasilnya menunjukkan t-hitung > t-tabel (2,43 > 1,69) sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Oleh sebab itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Conceptual Understanding Procedures efektif terhadap kompetensi strategis siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar kelas VIII SMP.

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of guided inquiry methods on students' science learning results at SDI Wae Ratun. This school is one of the schools in underdeveloped regions. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with posttest only control group design research. The subject of the study was the fifth-grade students with sampling techniques using random class techniques. The sample chosen in this study was class V B as the experimental class and class V A as the control class. The instrument used is a test in the form of multiple-choice questions. Data analysis uses descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of data analysis obtained the calculation of tcount = 4.940 and ttable = 2.026 at a significant level and degrees of freedom = 35. Thus, there is a substantial influence on the use of guided inquiry learning models on student science learning results at SDI Wae Ratun.

The research objective is to find out the effectiveness of Mathematics learning result by using multimedia auto play of East Kalimantan ethnic. The research is a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The population of the research is all sixth grade students of SD Fastabiqul Khairat in Samarinda City. The data collection technique is done by simple random sampling. The research sample is 50 students consist of 25 students for experimental and control groups. The instrument used in collecting the data is the test of Mathematics learning result. The prerequisite of data analysis is using Liliefors test for the normality test while for homogenity test is using Fisher test, with a = 0,05 obtained the sample from the normal and homogeneous distribution of population, while the data analysis technique is using t test. The research result is that the using of multimedia auto play of East Kalimantan ethnic is effective in increasing the Mathematics learnning result.

Background Background: One of the aspects fundamental that relates to the health of children is a problem of cleanliness hand. The behavior of a child who likes to play and often interact as directly with the environment of the potential for exposure to germs of bacteria that can stick in hand . By because it's cleanliness children's hands must always be kept clean . It is to do with accustom children to wash hands with the correct corresponding six- step systematic which is recommended by WHO with the use of soap on water flow. The importance of washing hands with properly in children can improve health, create the environment that is safe, and prevent the onset of various diseases such as diarrhea, diseases of skin, intestinal worms, an infection i tract respiratory above, and various kinds of disease infection more. Methods: This type of research is a Quasi experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. Research is conducted at the School of Basic State 33 Kendari subdistrict Abeli city of Kendari. The population is all students in the School of Basic State 33 Kendari in lesson 201 8/2019 which amounted to 349 people. The number of samples is 60 people. Withdrawal of the sample with the technique of simple random sampling. Results: The results showed that the descriptive majority of children in the treatment group that is 86,7% had knowledge that good about washing hands, and all the children that is 100% skilled wash hands after given the book pocket wash hands, whereas in the group k ontrol majority of children that 50% had knowledge that is enough about washing hands and the majority of children is 43.3% are not skilled in washing hands. Conclusion: based on the research results can be concluded that the provision of book pocket effectively improve knowl knowledge and skills of children Schools Elementary State 33 Kendari to wash hands. The lack of knowledge about cervical cancer in woman of childbearing age is the cause of high mortality rate problem. The awareness of performing inspection with acetic acid is low. The aim of the study is to find the EMO-DEMO educational influence on the enhancement of knowledge, attitudes and participation of women of childbearing age in screening cervical cancer using the method of Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA). We undertook this research using quasi experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The sample selection was made probability sampling simple random sampling for 60 respondents per group, the data collected using the questionnaire for the knowledge and attitude data and the interview sheets for the participation data. The results show there is a meaningful difference between pretest and posttest on knowledge, attitude and participation in cervical cancer screening using VIA method with p = 0.000. In conclusion, there is increase in knowledge, attitudes and participation in screening cervical cancer using VIA.

Introduction: Menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea is a common problem that is often complained of by women during menstruation. Menstrual pain can interfere learning activities, especially final year students in completing their thesis. The purpose of this study were to analyze the effect of endorphin massage on menstrual pain in final year nursing students of UNUSA. Method: This study using an experimental with pre-test and post-test control group design. Research subjects of this study was recruited using simple random sampling who was included inclusion and exclusion criteria. Research subjects in this study was of 46 students who were then divided into two groups, 23 students into intervention group and 23 students into control group. Data were collected by using observation with VAS. Data were analyzed by using Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney U test. Result and Analysis: The results showed that: 1) There was difference VAS score between pre test and post test in intervention group (p= 0,000), 2) There was difference VAS score between intervention and control group (p= 0,017). Conclusion: Endorphin massage could reduce menstrual pain in final year nursing student of UNUSA. Further research, is expected that endorphin massage can be compared with music therapy to reduce menstrual painKeywords: endorphin massage, menstrual pain, primary dysmenorrhea

SMA 5 and SMA 21 are the leading schools in Makassar City which have a Youth Counseling Information Center. Previous research looked at the influence of game simulation and brainstorming on the knowledge and attitudes of stundent about reproductive health for high school adolescents in Makassar City, including SMA 5 and SMA 21, but the results did not have effect on students' knowledge and attitudes. Therefore, the researcher took the initiative to provide another intervention in the form of counseling. This study aims to determine the effect of counseling on knowledge and attitudes about risky sexual behavior among students in SMA 5 and SMA 21 Makassar City. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a randomized pre test post test control group design. A sample of 76 students of class XI SMA 5 and SMA 21 Makassar City, using simple random sampling technique. Data collection was using a questionnaire. Statistical analysis used paired t-test and independent samples t-test. The results showed that there was an effect of counseling on knowledge (p = 0.002) but there was no effect on attitudes (p = 0.865) in SMA 5 and SMA 21 Makassar City. It is suggested that SMA 5 and SMA 21 Makassar City be active in conducting counseling, especially counseling about attitudes, so that students have positive attitudes about risky sexual behavior.

Laparotomy is one of the major surgeries. Laparotomy is an operative technique that can be performed on digestive and urinary sistem disorders that will cause pain. This study aims to determine thes effects of kinesio taping on the level of pains in post laparotomy patients. The methods of this study use a pre-post and control group quasi experimental design research. Consisting of the intervention group and the control group, the number of sample was 24 samples with 12 respondent in the kinesio taping installation intervention group and 12 respondent in the control group giving standar drug, using a simple random sampling technique. Dependent t-test obtained an average difference of 2.08 in the control group while ansaveragesdifferencesof 3.84 insthe intervention group. Independent T test results obtained P value (0.001)<(0.05). The conclusion there was assignificant difference in the level of pain in the kinesio taping intervention group and the control group that did not have kinesio taping. Variable confounding has been performed statistically. The results shows that here is no relationships between age, attitude and belief in the pain of Laparotomy, while age is related to post-Laparotomy pain, kinesio taping can be used as an independent nursing intervention to reduce the intensity of pain in post-Laparotomy patients.
