The demands for a development model that considers the social and environmental dimensions, as well as the economic dimension, has become increasingly imperative, either by society in general or by the initiative of national or supranational bodies, as oversight and regulatory agencies. In this way, the precepts of sustainable development have been gaining more space in political agendas and civil debates. We propose here that this model of development, especially the one linked to strong sustainability (and relative to the branch of ecological economy), would be ideal. For this, based on literature review, we formulate a theoretical model that combines sustainable regional development (as a dependent variable), mediated by the independent variables of entrepreneurship and sustainability. That is, the objective of this paper is the proposition of a theoretical framework that assumes that the sustainable regional development can be reached from the articulation between the foment to the entrepreneurial activity and the precepts of sustainability. As an additive to this model, we also consider the construct of the entrepreneurial ecosystem as a catalyst for entrepreneurial activity at the regional level and sustainable entrepreneurship as a type of business conducive to a more equal income generation, improvement of social structure, and environmental preservation.

This research is devoted to identification and assessment of basic indicators for regional water use as one of components of social-natural-technogenic system. Basic indicators are estimated on the example of Siberian industrial agglomerations such as Krasnoyarsk and the Kemerovo regions. These regions are considered as pilot for development of the social-natural-technogenic systems concept. Identification of basic indicators is a first stage in the problem of sustainable regional development risks assessment.

This paper contributes to a recent development in Applied Linguistics that encourages research from trans- approaches. Drawing on the results of an ethnographic research project carried out in a university of Bangladesh. It is illustrated how young adults actively and reflexively use a mixture of codes, modes, genres, and popular cultural texts in their language practices within the historical and spatial realities of their lives. The paper shows that the interpretive capacity of heteroglossia increases when complemented by an understanding derived from transgressive approaches to language. The paper proposes a reconceptualised version of heteroglossia, namely transglossia, which explores the fixity and fluidity of language in the 21th Century. On the one hand, transglossia is a theoretical framework that addresses the transcendence and transformation of meaning in heteroglossic voices. On the other hand, a transglossic framework untangles the social, historical, political, ideological, and spatial realities within which voices emerge. Overall, it is suggested that transglossia and a transglossic framework can provide us with an understanding of language that notions such as code-mixing or code-switching or any language-centric analysis fail to unveil.

Introduction. In the context of dynamic and systemic changes, there is a need to find new and / or optimize existing forms of partnership and cooperation between governmental authorities, representatives of the business environment, civil society institutions and individuals. At the same time, experience of foreign countries shows that the social responsibility of the participants of regional development significantly improves the effectiveness of interaction. The purpose of the paper is to justify the specifics of cross-sectoral cooperation in the region on the basis of social responsibility, as well as to identify its effective tools. Results. The author proved the influence of social responsibility of the participants of cross-sectoral cooperation on sustainable regional development, compiled the regulatory framework of countries of Europe and Central Asia in the field of PPP, revealed the specifics of cross-sector partnership in the regions of Ukraine. The study is based on official data from the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine and international organizations active in the field of PPP. Conclusion. The impetus for establishing cross-sectoral cooperation in the region is the social responsibility of all participants in the dialogue, and one of the effective tools is the PPP. The implementation of PPP projects enables the creation of inclusive, secure, adaptive territories, taking into account the needs of future development and creating equal opportunities for all. However, the analysis shows that there is no systematic and comprehensive approach to the proper use of PPP potential in Ukraine. Therefore, the author substantiated the need to strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation in the region on the basis of social responsibility and taking into account the potential of PPP.

The development of Industry 4.0 has a significant impact not only on production processes but also on the functioning and future of regions. It is crucial to understand the phenomena taking place in the social and economic space both from the cognitive and practical point of view. The article is based on research which investigates the prospect of communes in the context of Industry 4.0 development. The aim of the article is to show possible consequences of the development of Industry 4.0 from the local perspective. The basic assumption is a positive impact of entrepreneurship on ensuring sustainable regional development. The model adopted is built on a resource-based view and includes both invariable, external and independent resources such as location, as well as those which are variable in the longer term, such as human and social capital. To verify most of the hypotheses, a linear regression model has been created. The results of the research show that there is a strong correlation between human capital, social capital, proximity of an agglomeration and tourist attractiveness of a region, and regional development operationalised by the number of enterprises. The article presents possible directions of changes in the profiles of local units, as well as the conditions which have to be met in order to enable such a transformation.

There is always a definite point in the life path of every person when he starts asking a number of questions about his being, skills and desires. Very often just then the desire for cardinal changes appears, for escaping from the familiar and routine. It is this moment of truth when we give a clear account of who we are, where we are, what we have achieved and want to continue in the same way. Starting an entrepreneurial activity then is a serious bet for its success. The prerequisites for such success are the existence of a clearly conscious purpose and willingness, unrelenting and accurate assessment of opportunities and capabilities, and most of all determination and will to break the status quo.The perception of the vast majority of people for a successful entrepreneurial activity is related to the receipt of big profits. For the entrepreneur, however, things can be quite different. Here we intervene and the desire to prove ourselves, to increase the social status, to address new challenges, etc., which we usually summarized call success. The vast majority of society perceives the entrepreneurial success rather negatively. The main importance of the gains achieved and the external characteristics of a higher standard of living. Much more background and very rarely noticeable are the enormous efforts made by entrepreneurs in realising their ideas, their great responsibility not only for those working in their own enterprises, but also in terms of their families and Society as a whole.Success and failure go hand in hand. Failure, failure and fear of them are part of the daily life of the entrepreneur. Successful entrepreneur is not the one who tries to avoid in one way or another the failures, and the one who is taught by his faults and failures, is able to accept them with dignity, to learn from them, not to allow them again, and has the power to stand up and move on.Every new business is a new beginning, hiding a multitude of uncertainties and pitfalls, placing many questions and trials. The important thing is to possess the courage and courage to try despite the fears and dangers, as long as the risk of this attempt is judged correctly. Not in vain in the past have seen entrepreneurs such as gambling personalities, adventurers, etc., and today they are the ones who carry the new, create the unknown and discover opportunities where for others they are lacking.

English The great transformation to modernity made the economy the major organizing factor of the social synthesis, thus bringing forth the issue of the economy/society relationship as the central problem of modern social theory. This article deals with two broad approaches to this problem: Parsons's and Habermas's variants of structural-functionalism, on the one hand, and various currents of (neo)institutionalism, on the other. An attempt to synthesize the benefits of these conflicting approaches is made from the point of view of semiotic institutionalism. What emerges is a general theoretical framework, which is better equipped than the original structural-functionalist and institutionalist conceptions for the analysis of the economy/society relationship.

Abstract The National Border Strip (BS) geographically comprises the region of the Brazilian territorial boundary and, historically, is recognized by isolation, socio-economic and environmental vulnerabilities. In order to overcome these difficulties and promote sustainable regional development, a set of public policies was implemented, with emphasis on restructuring the Border Area Development Plan (PDFF) in 2005. In face of the investments made and the scarcity of information about this territory, this paper identified the main policies implemented in the BS based on literature review and documentary research. Also, thematic maps showed the effects of these policies on the changeovers of education, health, employment and income indicators, all calculated for the years 2005 and 2011. The results show that the policies emphasized development in the social and economic spheres, with less emphasis on the environmental context. Improvements in living conditions were identified in most municipalities, especially in education and health.

Abstract This paper considers a concept gaining popularity: entrepreneurial ecosystems. It finds a significant lacuna in the concept as it stands as it does not sufficiently consider learning within regional ecosystems. Considering the established centrality of learning for entrepreneurial activity and regional development, it is surprising that the entrepreneurial ecosystem literature does not yet incorporate how learning occurs in time and space within regional ecosystems. This paper presents research conducted in the North West of England over (20) years examining programmes to support entrepreneurial and regional development. It argues that learning, and the pro-active support thereof, is crucial within an entrepreneurial ecosystem and should be fully considered within theoretical frameworks and policy blueprints designed to support and encourage entrepreneurship within regions. As a tangible suggestion of how to theoretically incorporate learning into entrepreneurship ecosystem development efforts, we present an integrated learning model developed by entrepreneurship scholars through collaborations with practitioners.

AbstractThis article focuses on the manifestations of Islamophobia of Czech politicians and political parties on the social networking service Twitter during the 2015 migration crisis. It utilizes the securitization theory of Copenhagen school as a theoretical framework, and through content analysis of relevant tweets aims to provide more data on what role Islamophobia played in the securitization of incoming migrants. We find that although securitization, and much more politicization, of migrants took place, obvious Islamophobia, similar to the one of the Czech Islamophobic movement, happened only in some cases. A number of those politicians who politicized or migrants and Islam usually raised their voices against radical Islamophobes.

Entrepreneurship is the spearhead of market economies (OECD, 1998) whose actor is considered as a maker of projects (according to Cantillon 1755), or even an engine of capitalist dynamics (according to Schumpeter 1911). He is also an opportunity finder who, despite the uncertainty and risk, enthusiastically spots profitability activities. It is clear that entrepreneurship represents a boon for developing countries by injecting new impetus into economic growth. He promises to limit poverty without limiting wealth (Victor Hugo) and to reduce the social and economic gap. Morocco has made significant progress in a perspective that aims to mark the ground for a better valuation of the entrepreneurial act. However, the effectiveness of these efforts appears to be limited by a lack of financial motivation among researchers and the absence of a risk culture of our financial institutions. Also, the economic valuation of knowledge remains far behind compared to the immediate concerns of national university researchers who invest their time and knowledge in basic research. In Morocco, entrepreneurs suffer from the lack or the inadequacy with their aspirations of the means and actions mobilized that do not benefit from fundingup to the requirements of the project carried, a sine qua non conditions for the creation of innovative companies, meeting their ambitions. Is the Moroccan entrepreneurial context well thought in order to help develop and enhance the innovation potential of the country? Is it able to attract and enable innovative entrepreneurs? Our aim is to explore both the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the different interactions it can have,in the Moroccan context, with an innovative entrepreneurial approach, while paying particular attention to the bottlenecks in the process of creating a business, that may underminetake-off opportunities for entrepreneurial activity.
