Abstract PurposeThe aim of this study is to evaluate the accuracy, quality and reliability of the videos on trabeculectomy on YouTube which is an online video-sharing platform.Scope This paper aims to assess the quality and analyze the content of the videos on Trabeculectomy on YouTube. The material has been obtained by a video search carried out on the Youtube -online video platform- with the keyword “Trabeculectomy”. The material (videos) was examined and selected in accordance with the exclusion criteria (not being in English, duplicate videos, lack of title information of the video, being irrelevant to the subject, videos with only advertising content, videos with a pixel below 240, takes longer than 20 minutes). After the implementation of exclusion criteria, the first ten suitable videos were included in the evaluation.MethodologyRegarding the material, the parameters of the number of views, the number of likes, the number of dislikes, the number of comments, the video duration, the days since the video was uploaded were recorded. Thus, after carving out the secondary data, a number of statistical analyses were performed namely Shapiro-Wilks, Kruskall-Wallis, Mann-Whitney U and Backward Linear Regression. In this framework, statistical analyzes were made via using the Stata software. Statistical significance value (threshold) was accepted as %10 (p<0.1).ResultsAfter the videos were evaluated according to the upload source, it was found that 2 videos were downloaded by the individuals who is not a doctor, 6 videos from doctors and 2 videos from a commercial source. The number of subscribers of the YouTube channels on which these sources have been uploaded was significantly different from each other (p<0.1). When the videos were evaluated according to the information content they provided, it was found that 5 videos had low quality information content, 4 videos had medium quality information content, 1 video had good quality information content, and the video durations were also significantly different from each other (p<0.1). Moreover, it was statistically determined that the parameter affecting the number of views was the number of likes (p<0.1).ConclusionYouTube videos are essentially insufficient as an educational material and an English source of information for the Trabeculectomy. Health professionals need to pay more attention to online platforms so that patients can access accurate information.Categories:Medical Education, Medical Simulation, Surgery

BACKGROUND:The aim of this study was to evaluate the information quality of YouTube videos on hallux valgus. METHODS:A YouTube search was performed using the keyword 'hallux valgus' to determine the first 300 videos related to hallux valgus. A total of 54 videos met our inclusion criteria and evaluated for information quality by using DISCERN, Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and hallux valgus information assessment (HAVIA) scores. Number of views, time since the upload date, view rate, number of comments, number of likes, number of dislikes, video power index (VPI) values were calculated to determine video popularity. Video length (sec), video source and video content were also noted. The relation between information quality and these factors were statistically evaluated. RESULTS:The mean DISCERN score was 30.35{plus minus}11.56 (poor quality) (14-64), the mean JAMA score was 2.28{plus minus}0.96 (1-4), and the mean HAVIA score was 3.63{plus minus}2.42 (moderate quality) (0.5-8.5). Although videos uploaded by physicians had higher mean DISCERN, JAMA, and HAVIA scores than videos uploaded by non-physicians, the difference was not statistically significant. Additionally, view rates and VPI values were higher for videos uploaded by health channels, but the difference did not reach statistical significance. A statistically significant positive correlation was found between video length and DISCERN (r= 0.294, p= 0.028), and HAVIA scores (r= 0.326, p= 0.015). CONCLUSIONS:This present study demonstrated that the quality of information available on YouTube videos about hallux valgus was low and insufficient. Videos containing accurate information from reliable sources are needed to educate patients on hallux valgus, especially in less frequently mentioned topics such as postoperative complications and healing period.

UNSTRUCTURED Introduction: Our aim is to assess the content quality and reliability of YouTube videos on bone tumors. Methods: We searched YouTube using the keyword “bone tumors,” and included in our study the first 50 videos listed. Two orthopedic surgeons analyzed the videos, and then, we examined them in terms of length, number of views and likes, and source. To evaluate their content quality, the Global Quality Score (GQS) (0–4), Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) (0–5), and DISCERN (15–75) scoring systems were used; based on these, the obtained data were statistically analyzed. Results: Of the 50 videos analyzed, four (8%) included animation, while 46 (92%) did not; 12 (24%) were uploaded by doctors, 23 (46%) by health channels, 10 (20%) by universities, three (6%) by clinics, and one (2%) each by a hospital and a trainer. The average video length was 16 minutes 18 seconds (38-6088 seconds), average number of views 14,856.24, and average number of likes 130.50 (1-1448). The mean scores of GQS, JAMA, and DISCERN were 2.22 (1-4), 2.12 (1-3), and 33.48 (15-75), respectively. There was no statistical significance in the scores and video length, or the number of likes and views between the two researchers. Discussion: YouTube videos on bone tumors have low content quality. Improvement of the same will help dispense correct information to patients, so that they can continue their treatment. We believe that patient treatment compliance can be increased by accelerating the patient’s preparation and adaptation process for treatment with accurate information.

Introduction: Various drug–food interactions exist that may hinder treatment and can sometimes be lethal. Our aim was to assess the level of public knowledge and awareness in Jeddah city, Western Saudi Arabia, about drug–food interactions, along with the effects of demographics on their knowledge. Methods: A survey questionnaire was administered in this cross-sectional study to participants spread across multiple locations in Jeddah, including in malls and public gatherings. Participants included both males and females. Sample size was calculated through Raosoft® software. Data analysis was executed using IBM Statistic SPSS and the level of statistical significance was set at p < 0.05. Results: A total of 410 people participated in the study and only 92.68% (380) of responses were enrolled in the study; 7.32% (30) were not enrolled due to the exclusion criteria. Surprisingly, only six out of eighteen questions regarding drug–food interactions in the administered questionnaire were correctly answered by 380 participants. Data indicated that the participants had a poor to intermediate level of both knowledge and awareness with respect to drug–food interactions. Furthermore, participants showed moderate to strong awareness of the effects of alcohol and tea generally, and their interaction with medication. Conclusion: Participants in our study showed inadequate knowledge of basic and fundamental information about drug–food interactions, which highlights the dire need to increase awareness.

Purpose: The study sought to determine the effect of consumer protection function on financial performance of SACCOs in Kenya.Methodology: The study adopted a descriptive research design. The target population comprised of registered 181 deposit-taking SACCOs as at 31st December 2014 and the three licensed CRBs in Kenya. Stratified random sampling was used in the study, where SACCOs were grouped into five respective strata which were then randomly selected. The SACCOs were grouped into five respective strata of government based, teachers based, farmers based, private institutions based and community based. The study sampled 135 of the 181 (74.5%) licensed deposit taking SACCOs since these were the only licensed deposit-taking SACCOs by 2014. The choice of the licensed deposit taking SACCOs in Kenya was very objective since it was possible to obtain information that is representative of Kenya. In addition, SACCOs form the smaller arm in the financial sector and in most cases deals with a larger group of clients from the informal sector as opposed to other financial institutions like banks. Both primary and secondary data were analyzed using SPSS software, and statistics generated included descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The particular descriptive statistics used included frequencies and percentages while the particular inferential statistics included Pearson correlation analysis and regression. Correlation analysis was used to establish relationships between the consumer protection function and financial performances. Regression analysis was used to establish the significance of the variables and the degree of causal effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The hypotheses testing were conducted using simple regression model.Findings: From the data analysis the study concluded that there was a significant and positive relationship between consumer protection function and financial performance thus the existence of credit reference bureaus was suitable for improving financial performance of SACCOs. This implies that that Credit reference bureaus have led to consumer protection and increased customers’ rights. Similarly, credit reference bureaus have led to assumption that borrowing is a right regardless of capabilities. Credit reference bureaus have reduces undesired monopolistic actions of lenders. Lastly, credit reference bureaus have led to reduced bad “culture” on loan repayment.Recommendation: The study recommended that lenders should ensure that they have accurate information before listing the unworthy borrowers to avoid unnecessary legal battles which may affect performance as a measure for customer rights protection.

Purpose – Many studies examine the relative information content of earnings and cash flows from operations. Most studies find that earnings have higher information content than cash flows. An interesting question that follows is whether these findings hold after controlling the extremity of earnings and cash flows. The purpose of this paper is to examine the relative information content of earnings and cash flows in the following four different cases: first, moderate earnings vs moderate cash flows, second, extreme earnings vs moderate cash flows, third, moderate earnings vs extreme cash flows, and fourth, extreme earnings vs extreme cash flows. Design/methodology/approach – To assess the relative information content of earnings and cash flows for each of the four cases mentioned above, the authors compare the explanatory power for regression of returns on unexpected earnings relative to regression of returns on unexpected cash flows. Therefore, the author compares the adjusted R2 of the model with earnings variables and the model with cash flows variables using Vuong's test, that examines the statistical significance of the difference between adjusted R2s of the rival (non-nested) models, and interpret a statistically higher adjusted R2 as an indicator for higher relative information content. Findings – The results show that: first, when both earnings and cash flows are moderate, earnings are more highly associated with stock market price changes than cash flows, second, when both earnings and cash flows are extreme, earnings also have greater relative information content than cash flows, third, when the extremity differs between earnings and cash flows, the moderate variable is superior to the other extreme variable in explaining security returns. These results suggest that earnings are definitely more value relevant than cash flows. However, only in cases when cash flows from operations are moderate and earnings are extreme, cash flows possess higher information content than earnings. Practical implications – The explanatory power for stock returns will be higher for earnings or cash flows depending on which is more highly persistent. This result reverses the conventional finding of the superiority of earnings over cash flows in explaining security returns. Originality/value – In contrast to previous studies, the authors control for the extremity of earnings and cash flows when evaluating the relative information content of earnings and cash flows from operations.

The type of data used are qualitative and quantitative data, while-for the data source is the primary and secondary data. Techniques of data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The sampling technique used purposive sampling i.e. applied particular consideration determined by the researcher itself. In another words the researchers have their own criteria toward the Japanese tourists who had ever utilized the services of Paradise Bali Tour and Travel. The result of this study shows that tourists are satisfied by the performance of the Japanese tour guides in Paradise Bali Tour and Travel, with an average rate of suitability is 74.39 percent. Being used Cartesian diagram to analyze the indicators to be a top priority and must be done in accordance with expectations of tourists, such as: guides appearance and neatness and another items and must be used by guide when pick-up the guests, providing clear and accurate information about the condition of destination, and efficiency of time and speedy when pick up the tourists. Indicators are considered important and needed to be maintained its performance are the mastering of foreign languages by guides in order to fluent communication, the courtesy of guides when providing services. Indicators considered less important by tourists but its implementation is quite well done, namely responsiveness guides in providing clear and concise information. Indicator that overestimated by tourist but it have done very well, such as the convenience of tourists when receiving services from the guide during the tour taken place.

Multimedia content is central to our experience on the Web. Specifically, users frequently search and watch videos online. The textual features that accompany such content (e.g., title, description, and tags) can generally be optimized to attract more search traffic and ultimately to increase the advertisement-generated revenue.This study investigates whether automating tag selection for online video content with the goal of increasing viewership is feasible. In summary, it shows that content producers can lower their operational costs for tag selection using a hybrid approach that combines dedicated personnel (often known as ‘channel managers’), crowdsourcing, and automatic tag suggestions. More concretely, this work provides the following insights: first, it offers evidence that existing tags for a sample of YouTube videos can be improved; second, this study shows that an automated tag recommendation process can be efficient in practice; and, finally it explores the impact of using information mined from various data sources associated with content items on the quality of the resulting tags.

However, that research can use the near theory, like stock split and stock dividend. That announcement can be the one classified, it can be said the other term is stock distribution.</p><p class="Style21">This research is to use the secondary data and the measurement is called the trading volume actilAty. The reason of using of that measurement, because it is the important thing, beside the stock price. By observing the trading volume activity it can be seen the fluctuation of the meeting from the demand and supply side. For knowing the significant of changing in the trading volume activity can be measured by approaching the compare mean, that approaching is to compare between before and after share announcement. That event could be a signal for the stock market and it is having the information content</p><p class="Style21">For this research, it also use the earning growth, that earning is usually as a indicator of good or bad performance from the company condition. This can describe what the companies look. And also this can add the research analysis, then more supported. And that research can be the combination of analysis method between the fundamental and technical analysis.</p><p class="Style21">The result of this research indicates, the event can affect the trading volume for all companies and for companies in non-manufacturing and also for in the crisis period. Background: Asthma is ranked 16th among the leading causes of years lived with disability (YLD) and ranks 28th among the causes of global burden of disease (GBD). Various potential factors can cause asthma, which include body mass index (BMI) and gender. Purpose: This research aimed to determine the relationship between BMI and gender in people living with asthma in Indonesia. Methods: This research employed secondary data obtained from the Indonesian family life support (IFLS) 5th edition. This research used an observational analysis technique with a cross-sectional approach. The number of respondents in this research were 30,713. In this study, the BMI category was based on WHO’s classification for Asians. Data was analyzed using logistic regression tests and chi square. Statistical significance was set at a value of p<0.05. Results: As many as 17,175 respondents had a normal BMI range (56.92%), out of which the majority were women—16,001 respondents (52.10%). After controlling the other variables, statistical test results with logistic regression indicated that male respondents had 1.23 times the odds of experiencing asthma compared to females (adjusted odds ratio (AOR)=1.23; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.04–1.44; p=0.02). Again, after controlling the other variables, underweight respondents had 1.31 times the odds of experiencing asthma compared to respondents who had a normal BMI (AOR=1.31; 95%CI=1.07–1.59; p=0.01). Conclusion: A relationship between gender and the category of people who were underweight after determining their BMI could be established. Health counseling can be provided to help improve the respiratory conditions of these individuals.

BACKGROUND Accurate information and guidance about personal behaviors that can reduce exposure to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 are among the most important elements in mitigating the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). With over 2 billion users, YouTube is a media channel that millions turn to when seeking information. OBJECTIVE At the time of this study, there were no published studies investigating the content of YouTube videos related to COVID-19. This study aims to address this gap in the current knowledge. METHODS The 100 most widely viewed YouTube videos uploaded throughout the month of January 2020 were reviewed and the content covered was described. Collectively, these videos were viewed over 125 million times. RESULTS Fewer than one-third of the videos covered any of the seven key prevention behaviors listed on the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. CONCLUSIONS These results represent an important missed opportunity for disease prevention.
