<p>The aim of the research was to evaluate the structural validity of the Lithuanian version of the Sports Motivation Scale in the context of the disability sport. This study included 66 athletes with hearing and visual impairment (45 men and 21 women). The average age of the research participants was 26.5 ± 11.7 years, they used to participate in sport activity for  10.1 ± 7.6 years. Athletes who participated in the research were representatives of goalball, tennis, athletics, swimming, basketball and other sports. 39 athletes were prize winners in World and European championships. The participants of the research completed the questionnaire based on the Sports Motivation Scale (SMS) already adapted in Lithuania. Data were processed using <em>Jamovi </em>program. SMS psychometric parameters demonstrated good internal scale compatibility. In the confirmatory factor analysis, a 4-factor model suitable for data analysis (CFI – 0.881; TLI - 0.863; RMSEA - 0.0710; χ2 / df 1.439) was identified which comprised 20 SMS items. The structure of the model consisted of factors that characterize athletes' intrinsic motivation – “to discover” (1), intrinsic motivation – “to feel self-improvement” (2), extrinsic motivation – “need for social dependency” (3) and “amotivation” (4).</p><p>Tyrimo tikslas buvo įvertinti Sporto motyvacijos skalės lietuviškos versijos struktūrinį validumą neįgaliųjų sporto kontekste. Tyrime dalyvavo 66 klausos ir regos negalią turintys sportininkai (45 vyrai, 21 moterys). Vidutinis tyrimo dalyvių amžius buvo 26,5±11,7 m., treniruočių patirtis 10,1±7,6 m. Tyrime dalyvavę sportininkai atstovavo šioms sporto šakoms: golbolas, tenisas, lengvoji atletika, plaukimas, krepšinis et al. 39 sportininkai užėmė prizines vietas pasaulio ir Europos čempionatuose. Tyrimo dalyviai užpildė klausimyną, kurio pagrindą sudarė jau Lietuvoje adaptuota Sporto motyvacijos skalė (SMS). Duomenys apdoroti Jamovi programa. SMS psichometriniai parametrai parodė gera skalės vidinį suderinamumą. Atliekant patvirtinančiąja faktorinę analizę buvo išskirtas duomenų analizei tinkamas 4 faktorių modelis (CFI – 0,881; TLI – 0,863; RMSEA – 0,0710; χ2 / df 1,439); kurį sudarė 20 SMS teiginių. Modelio struktūrą sudarė faktoriai, kurie apibūdina sportininkų vidinę motyvaciją-atrasti (1), vidinė motyvacija-jausti tobulėjimą (2), išorinė motyvacija-socialinio priklausomumo poreikis (3) ir amotyvacija (4).</p><p> </p><p> </p>

The purpose of the current study was to test the validity and reliability of a two-factor model of the Personal and Social Responsibility Questionnaire (PSRQ) and examine the relationships between perceptions of personal and social responsibility and intrinsic motivation in physical education. Participants were 253 middle school students who completed the questionnaires. The results from a confirmatory factor analysis and internal consistency suggest the two-factor PSRQ is valid and reliable for assessing students’ perceptions of personal and social responsibility in physical education. The correlational analysis suggests that participants with higher levels of personal and social responsibility were likely to enjoy physical education more. An important implication for teaching practice is that, to encourage all individuals to be intrinsically motivated to participate in physical education, physical education teachers need to empower students with choices and voices, focus them on effort and self-direction in physical education, and create a respectful and caring learning environment.

The purpose of the research is to develop the measurement of motivation scale of in class action research conducted by school teachers. The sampling is 403 teachers, subordinated to Office of The Basic Education Commission. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires of 20 questions. The questions were designed into 5 levels following to the motivation scale in research measurement of Deemer, Mahoney, & Ball (2010). This 20 questions questionnaire is consisting of 3 latent variables that are 9 questions of intrinsic motivation, 6 questions of failure avoidance and 5 questions extrinsic motivation. The purpose of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) is to test the construct validity of research latent variables that found the harmony correlation of empirical data contained in this research model, the value of Chi-Square ( )=89.224 at the degree of freedom=71, P value=0.071, GFI=0.978, AGFI=0.936, RMSEA=0.062, RMR=0.018, Model AIC=367.224, Saturated AIC=420.000, Model CAIC= 1062.076, Saturated CAIC = 1469.777. The weight factors of latent variable are 0.692, -0.066 and 0.894 retrospectively. The value of reliability according to cronbach’s alpha coefficient of correlation is 0.479, 0.004 and 0.800 retrospectively. Moreover correlation matrix of 20 observed variables shows the correlation among latent variables of intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation with the significant level of statistic correlation at 0.05, the correlation value ranged between 0.196-0.604 and 0.196-0.696 retrospectively. The highest value of correlation scored 0.696 is founded in observed variables of intrinsic motivation latent variable. Keywords: Confirmatory, factor analysis, teacher, research motivation

Academic motivation implies an internal process that initiates and maintains activities aimed at reaching certain academic goals. The objective of this research was to explore the psychometric characteristics of the Academic Motivation Scale (AMS). The sample comprised 157 participants, high school students in the Sarajevo Canton. An item analysis indicated that discriminatory validity and reliability indices were satisfactory for all items. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficients for separate subscales were ranging from 0.77 to 0.84, and for the whole instrument α = 0.912. An exploratory factor analysis specified 5 factors, with 66.53% of the variance explained. After a Equamax rotation with Kaiser normalization we reached the solution whereby there are two subscales of intrinsic motivation – for knowledge and stimulation- and they present the first factor. The second factor is composed of the subscales of extrinsic motivation – imposed and externally regulated. The third factor are the items of a-motivation, the fourth the items of intrinsic motivation for achievement, and the fifth the items of extrinsic internalized motivation. A confirmatory factor analysis did not offer a more interpretable solution. After separate factor analyses of the subscales of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, we got a satisfactory solution whereby the three subscales of intrinsic and three of extrinsic motivation might be distinguished. In conclusion, we can say that this measuring instrument has satisfactory metric characteristics and that the existence of the following seven factors has been partially confirmed: intrinsic motivation (for knowledge, achievement, stimulation), extrinsic motivation (imposed, internalized, externally regulated) and a-motivation.

Abstract. The Therapist Adherence Measure (TAM-R) is a central assessment within the quality-assurance system of Multisystemic Therapy (MST). Studies into the validity and reliability of the TAM in the US have found varying numbers of latent factors. The current study aimed to reexamine its factor structure using two independent samples of families participating in MST in the Netherlands. The factor structure was explored using an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) in Sample 1 ( N = 580). This resulted in a two-factor solution. The factors were labeled “therapist adherence” and “client–therapist alliance.” Four cross-loading items were dropped. Reliability of the resulting factors was good. This two-factor model showed good model fit in a subsequent Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) in Sample 2 ( N = 723). The current finding of an alliance component corroborates previous studies and fits with the focus of the MST treatment model on creating engagement.

The purpose of this study was to develop a Chorus Motivation Scale (CMS) that is tested in terms of reliability and construct validity by determining the student perceptions of effective motivation strategies in Chorus training in Turkish Music Teacher Training Model. In order to develop a Chorus Motivation Scale, Questionnaire-Effective Motivation Strategies in Chorus Training was applied to second-year, third-year, and fourth-year students who study at Music Teacher Training departments of nine different state universities from seven geographical regions in Turkey (N=794). Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were conducted in accordance with new/initial scale development procedures. Analysis of the data reveals a good structure model comprising reliable factors. Confirmatory factor analyses indicated that a model including factors representing the dimensions Leadership, director/student attention, achievement and anxiety was the best fit. The four-factor model yielded RMSEA and SRMR values (≤.05) demonstrating an excellent fit and CFI value with an adequate fit to the data. Cronbach’s alpha and initial-final reliability results indicated good to excellent consistency across all CMS subscales, with coefficients ranging from .64 to .90.

Officials occupy an essential role in sport, and one that is beginning to be recognized in the research literature. One growing area of research on officials is officiating efficacy, or refficacy. Previous research includes a conceptualization of the construct and an operational definition that has been supported with respect to factor structure and other psychometric properties. However, the samples that have supported the validity and reliability of the scale have reflected a narrow conceptualization of officiating; samples have been dominated by interactor officials in invasion sports, such as football and basketball. The current study was designed to assess the psychometric properties of the REFS with a sample of monitor and reactor officials. A sample of 174 officials from monitor sports such as wrestling, tennis and figure skating completed the REFS. A Confirmatory Factor Analysis supported Myers et al [1] four-factor model. The data also showed strong internal consistency and gender differences that are consistent with other research on efficacy in sport. These results show that the REFS is a valid and reliable measure for a heterogeneous and widely representative sample of sport officials. Research utilizing this measurement is encouraged in a variety of contexts and on a variety outcomes

Golf is one of several sport tourist attractions that are increasingly demanding by domestic and foreign tourists during their visit to Bali. Unlike the others type of tourist attractions, golf tourism could be classified as a quality attraction. Tourists who play golf spend more money than other sport activities. Refers to this fact, golf tourism could be an alternative to realizing the establishment of quality tourism in Bali. This work aims to study the significance of the determinants of tourists' satisfaction as well as their loyalty in visiting Bali as a destination that offers golf attractions. Intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation from golfers are positioned as the antecedent of the level of satisfaction with their trust to the golf providers acts as the mediation of the causal relationship occured. Using 5-scale Likert questionnaire, the opinions of 113 foreign tourists who played golf in Bali were used to examine the structural equation models that were built. The results of the analysis show that both types of motivation have positive influences on tourist trust in golf operators, and through the trust mediation, these motivations positively influence the level of tourist loyalties. The results of the analysis also showed that tourists’ trust to the golf operators had a significant effect on tourist loyalty. The main findings of this research conclude the vital role of tourists’ trust to the golf operators in Bali in increasing their loyalty to play golf while visiting Bali. This study is an adaptation of Science Motivation Scale, developed by Glynn and Koballa, into Turkish and reports validity and reliability of the adapted scale. The sample consisted of 1354 high school students from Ankara and Edirne. The data collected from different types of high schools was analyzed and moderately similar factor structures were found as in the original scale. Based on the principal component analysis, four dimensions which were self-efficacy in learning science, anxiety about science assessment, extrinsically motivated science learning, and intrinsically motivated science learning were determined. These four dimensioned model was analyzed via confirmatory factor analysis and moderate fit was determined. In addition, validity analysis supports the validity of scores on the four-factor model. The Cronbach alpha reliability was found to be 0.913. This scale aims to determine high school students' motivation to learn chemistry. The distinction of this scale is that determining student motivation on learning chemistry rather than asking for general questions in science. The findings of the study are meant to contribute to the chemistry education field by providing an adapted scale.

The study examines the factor structure, internal consistency, concurrent and discriminant validity, and test-retest reliability of the Exercise Dependence Scale-Revised scores (EDS-R: Symons-Downs, Hausenblas, & Niggs, 2004 ) in a sample of Greek exercise participants. The Greek translation of the EDS-R was completed by 581 exercise participants along with measures of exercise addiction. Confirmatory factor analysis provided support for the hypothesized EDS-R correlated 7-factor model along with evidence for strong item loadings and factor discriminant validity. Further evidence emerged in favor of the internal consistency, concurrent validity, and test-retest reliability of the translated EDS-R scores. The results provide initial support for various aspects of the validity and reliability of the translated-into-Greek EDS-R scores.
