Thisstudy examines the parameters to analyze the form of local mosques in 21st century India. Since the advent of Mughals in India, mosque architecture has been immensely celebrated due to the fact that many inventions happened in building techniques and styles. Till today it has continued, though implicitly, and has been absorbed in the architecture of mosques which are mostly locally built. This is evident from their forms, especially, replicating those arches, minarets and domes. So, in this scenario, the question is what should be the form of local mosques in contemporary India when Islamic countries like Bangladesh, despite regarded as a developing country, is building creatively innovative and modern mosques? To respond to the question, local mosques built after the 1970s in India and Bangladesh are selected based upon their funding, year of construction, number of occupants, and built-up area. They are analyzed according to parameters of the form of mosques deduced from the literature study. According to results after analysis, it is found that there is a high grade of religious symbolism that is still prevalent in India unlike in Bangladesh. Besides, there is no participation of local people in mosque construction as well as in design with no interaction with the architects and clients who are involved in the process. The idea of Postmodernism and its features seems to have no role when local mosques in India are analyzed.

Closely linked to the phenomenon of the decline in church member numbers in the Western church, is the phenomenon of dwindling their faith commitment. This is the phenomenon in which church members do not show the same vitality and zeal as before and are in danger of abandoning their faith. The current article contributed to the arsenal of studies, aimed at addressing the phenomenon by presenting the solutions deduced from a single biblical book, namely the book of Hebrews. The book of Hebrews is arguably one of the most fitting biblical books to shed light on how the phenomenon can be addressed, as Hebrews was written to a church that experienced a decline in faith commitment. The primary aim of the article was to determine what solutions the writer of Hebrews proposes for addressing his addressees’ dwindling in their faith commitment, while the secondary aim was to reflect on how the writer’s solutions can be applied in the 21st century church. In order to achieve these aims, reconstruction by means of exegesis and a detailed literature study is used in the article. It begins with the reconstruction of the context of the addressees, specifically to determine the reason(s) why they dwindled in their faith commitment. This was followed by reconstructing the writer’s solution for his addressees’ dwindling faith commitment. Next, the writer’s solution was fleshed out in the light of the whole of Hebrews by tracing the major themes and broad lines found in the book. It is noted that the writer addresses the issue by guiding and exhorting his addressees to come to a more comprehensive comprehension and appropriate application of their confessed faith. This he does by shaming, frightening, reminding, guiding and assuring them. By means of reflection, it is suggested in the conclusion that the same strategy can be applied in the church today to address the phenomenon of dwindling faith commitment.Contribution: The article indicated the relevancy of the book of Hebrews for the church in the 21st century, especially in terms of addressing the issue of dwindling faith commitment. As such, the article gives practical suggestions on how the issue can be addressed from the book of Hebrews by pastors, ministers, pastoral counsellors, Bible students, and church members.

In the ideal level, Islamic education must touch on 3 (three) aspects. "Knowing" realm understanding value Islamic religion, "doing" realm practicing the values Islamic religion, "being" go through a period of life following values Islamic religion. However, the development of the 21-st Century, which provides open access to all information from cyberspace, has not been fully implemented in the field of Islamic education so that it gives a challenge for the world of Islamic education in implementing the concept of "being" optimally in the process of learning. This article aims to describe and analyze the development of the Islamic education curriculum through 3 (three) approaches: multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary. This article uses a qualitative approach to the type of literature study research. A literature study that is in line with the research theme leads this research to the conclusion. First, the Common Core State Standards (Kurikulum Inti) emerge as a form of balance standardization between the aspects of ideal learning and skills needs in the 21st-century. Second, the difference between multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches lies in the "starting point" of each approach. Multidisciplinary emerge as the form of concepts and skills desired by each discipline (explicitly), interdisciplinary in the form of shared concepts and skills, as long as a scientific discipline (implicitly) and transdisciplinary in the form of real reality in life where students being both subject and object in gaining that knowledge. Third, the similarity between multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches lies to balance between accountability, relevance, and development of the 21st-century; all three are integral parts of the Core Curriculum; all three involve more than one scientific discipline in discussing a theme/issue and; all three have aspects of evaluation/assessment during the learning process.
