Today, there are more and more reports of an increase in the proportion of patients with uterine fibroids (up to 45 %), in whom hysterectomy (HE) remains the only radical method of recovery. Over the past decades, views on this operation have changed significantly. HE and its influence on somatic and psychological status, psychogenic changes and vegetative-neurotic manifestations associated with postoperative acute circulatory ischemia of ovarian tissue have become the subject of scientific exchange in many discussion panels. The article presents data from an experimental psychological study, assessment of the severity of urogenital dysfunction using the standardized POP-Q system, characteristics of quality of life parameters, indicators of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism both at the stage of preoperative followup and within 12 months, 3 and 5 years after surgery. in 80 women of reproductive age with uterine fibroids who underwent vaginal hysterectomy. The comparison group included 60 patients with abdominal hysterectomy. As a result of the studies carried out using experimental psychological methods, the dominance of asthenic, anxiety and depressive disorders should be noted. The most common symptoms were decreased performance, mood, emotional lability, dyssomnia, decreased memory and concentration. The study of the parameters of the quality of life made it possible to note the lowest indicators in the older age category of the main group, low levels of parameters were recorded in relation to «physical» and «sexual health», the sphere of interpersonal relationships suffered less. After GE, an increase in body mass index, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, an increase in proinsulin and HOMA index, as well as very low density lipoprotein cholesterol and an atherogenic index were recorded.

Relevance. Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease that affects up to 10% of women of reproductive age worldwide and is the main cause of pain and infertility. Endometriosis is a disease, although it has been known for a long time, nevertheless, in many ways it represents terra incognita for modern medicine. Aim. Analysis of literature on the feasibility of long-term and the use of the drug dienogest 2 mg (Vizanne), which has a positive effect on the quality of life of patients with endometriosis. Materials and methods. To write this review, a search was made for domestic and foreign publications in Russian and international search engines (PubMed, eLibrary, etc.) over the past 13 years. The review included articles from peer-reviewed literature. Results. The review presents data on the difficulties of verifying the diagnosis of endometriosis due to a combination of this pathology with pain, infertility, abnormal uterine bleeding. The pathogenesis of the origin of endometriosis-associated pain is presented. The efficacy of the use of the drug dienogest (Vizanne), which has a powerful antiproliferative effect that reduces the main symptoms of endometriosis (pain, bleeding), is substantiated. The expediency of long-term and safe use of the drug dienogest (Vizanne), which has a positive effect on the quality of life of patients with endometriosis, has been proved. Conclusions. Background: The systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients oftentimes suffer from both physical and psychosocial challenges that may lead to low health-related quality of life (HRQoL). However, limited research has been done in this area. Objective: To examined mental health status and HRQoL among SLE patients in Thailand. Materials and Methods: The present study was a cross-sectional study conducted at the rheumatology clinic of four major hospitals in Thailand. The paper-based questionnaire consisted of demographic, health history such as depression, anxiety, stress Scale (DASS-21), and the Rosenberg self-esteem scale (RSE), and the disease-specific Lupus Quality of Life scale (LupusQoL). Depending on the variable’s level of measurement such as categorical or continuous, Spearman’s Rho or Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficients were used to explore the relationships among the variables. Hierarchical multiple regression was used to identify the predictors of LupusQoL. Results: Among the 387 participants, many might have experienced depression, anxiety, and stress (30%, 51%, and 29%, respectively). Self-esteem among the participants was good (31.8 out of 40). All eight domains of LupusQoL were affected with intimate relationship domain being impacted the most. The overall LupusQoL was significantly associated with the number of prescribed medications (r=–0.23), depression (r=–0.70), anxiety (r=–0.58), stress (r=–0.67), and self-esteem (r=0.59), p<0.001. Significant predictors of the overall LupusQoL were mental health status (depression, anxiety, and stress) and self-esteem, F (3, 81)=43.10, p<0.001, adjusted R²=0.60. Conclusion: SLE patients should be holistically assessed in both physical and psychological aspects. In addition to proper medical treatments, healthcare providers should use a multidisciplinary team approach to resolve the patients’ psychosocial issues, which in turn, may increase the patients’ quality of life. Self-care education may be necessary to help the patients manage the condition and decrease the number of medications. Keywords: Mental health, Quality of life, SLE, Thailand
