Still not ideal Islamic education system in Indonesia be a phenomenon in this study. This research uses the library research method. Sources of data and information come from various references related to research to be analyzed according to the focus of the problems discussed in the results and discussion. Secondary data sources used for analysis include various reference sources. The results of the study are the history of the journey of Islamic education in Indonesia starting from the first time Islam was spread in Indonesia, the development of Islamic education has continued from the kingdom to the present. The system of providing formal and non-formal Islamic education is following the needs and situations of certain communities, not bound by the time and evaluation determined by the government.

<p>Abstract</p><p><span>Thee focus of this research is the pro" le of Ki Hadjar Dewantara, his educational thought based on the <span>perspective of Islamic education review, the research is focused on the aspects of the conception of education <span>issues, including: basic, content and education systems. This study tries to describe the policy implemented by the Japanese fascist military authority toward pesantren education during their occupation in Indonesia. The research problem is how the policies used by the Japanese fascist military authority towards pesantren during their occupation in Indonesia before the independence of Indonesia. Primary data sources of this study include some works examining the policies of the Japanese fascist military authority towards pesantren education. Various scientific papers on Japanese colonization in Indonesia are used as secondary data sources of this study. This study uses historical approach and library research method focusing on the policies of the Japanese fascist military authority towards pesantren education. The collected data then were analyzed by using content analysis. This study exposes that the Japanese government provide more freedom for pesantren education than the Dutch colonial to develop themselves without any affection from the Japanese government. It could be seen from a fact that when pesantren were about to develop their basic potential as an educational institution teaching anti-colonial attitudes, Japanese government immediately acted repressively. They always monitored the kiai as well as all pesantren’s activities.

The difficulty of providing an understanding of the values of religion to students in schools is feared to be one of the causes of the emergence of acts of violence in educational institutions. So the purpose of this article is to analyze the understanding of religious values as one way to prevent violence in educational institutions. This research method is qualitative with descriptive analytic approach, and the type of research belongs to category of library research. Primary data sources are 10 books, while secondary data sources are from relevant journals. The conclusion of this article is that violence occurs in educational institutions must be the government's concern. The number of cases of students persecuting their teachers even some has died is an indicator that religious education obtained is only memorized. Students do not understand the purpose and objectives of learning religious education, and this is also because teachers are unable to provide an understanding of the essence of religious education.

The discussion in this research is terrorism from the perspective of Islamic criminal law (fiqih jinayah). The problem that becomes the focus of research is how terrorism is in the review of Islamic criminal law or jinnayah fiqh. Qualitative research, the source of which is library research, is the method used in research. There are two kinds of data sources in this research, namely primary and secondary data sources, while the data collection and analysis uses literature review research. The data were analyzed using the Islamic criminal law theory approach. So as a result of this research that acts of terrorism are not justified in Islamic teachings. The birth of this action is because the perpetrators have shallow thoughts or have very minimal thoughts and have political goals to harm themselves and others. They even consider this act as Jihad, even though in fact it is not a jihad but an act that brings fear to potential victims.

The ideas of al-Qabisi on the physical punishment method for the students now tend to be poorly comprehended, acknowledged, and implemented by educators in the educational institution system. It is almost certain that the study of the physical punishment method is still limited to theory and knowledge without giving application in the reality of life. This research aimed to analyze the principle of physical punishment for the students, illustrate the terms, as well as the objectives of the punishment, and the impact on the psychological and physical of students. Based on library research and descriptive, deductive, and content analysis of primary and secondary data sources, the result of the research showed that according to al-Qabisi, there are six principles of physical punishment, four conditions that must be considered in the provision of physical punishment, five purposes of giving physical punishment for them, and imposition of physical punishment for them according to al-Qabisi harms the physical and psychological of students.

Special Autonomy assigns its rights and obligations to local governments to regulate and manage their own affairs and interests of the society so that people increasingly can be served well. But in fact, public services provided is not maximized. This study used qualitative methods, data sources are divided into two types of data sources, namely primary and secondary data sources. The results of this study indicate that there is still lack of public services the Government of Papua Province visible from the weak aspects of responsiveness, which local governments less responsive to some of the problems in the field of education, economy and industry growth and physical development as well as non-physical. From the aspect of responsibility is also still found their weaknesses, which the Government of Papua Province is still not fully overcome the problems of corruption and poverty. Meanwhile, from the aspect of accountability, it is known that the performance of governance in Papua in providing public services are not running optimally, one reason is the lack of competence and capability of local government officials.

Duties and responsibilities of teachers are not limited in society, even teachers included in this case are essentially strategic components that have an important role and responsibility in determining the progress of the nation's life and become the foundation of expectations of children's parents to make their children good children (anaks haleh) who know how to carry out their religious obligations and have a noble character (akhlak al-karimah). This study aims to determine; What are the Responsibilities of Teachers in Islamic Education according to Hasan Langgulung's Thought ?. What are the Responsibilities of Teachers in Islamic Education according to Buya Hamka's Thought ?. What is the relevance of Hasan Langgulung and Buya Hamka's thoughts on the Responsibilities of Teachers in Islamic Education ?. This research is a library research that uses various sources of literature as a source of research data. Primary data sources are the book Hamka Institution of Life and Budi and Hasan Langgulung Man and Education, An Analysis of Psychology, Philosophy and Education. While secondary data sources in research are books, articles, magazines, newspapers, or other sources, which are then drawn from these data. Based on the results of the processed data, it can be seen that the responsibilities of Teachers in Islamic Education according to Buya Hamka's thinking based on the explanation above, then the responsibility of educators namely educating: a). Faith Education; b). Moral education (morals); c). Physical education (physical and spiritual); d). Community social education; e). Intellectual education. While the Responsibility of Teachers in Islamic Education according to Hasan Langgulung's Thought covers at least 7 things, namely: a). Religious education which includes religious education, aqeedah and worship; b). Moral education (morals); c). Physical education which includes physical education and health; d). Psychological education consisting of psychiatric education and feelings; e). Community social education; f). Intellectual education. The relevance of the thoughts of Buya Hamka and Hasan Langgulung about the Responsibilities of Teachers in Islamic Education can be seen that Education basically revolves around science, charity, morals, and justice. All three are concepts that must be interconnected in the education process. Education for humans is not only to fulfill internal interests as dynamic creatures, but also external interests, namely the orderly and harmonious organization of human civilization.

This study is a qualitative research with library research instrument. The data used are qualitative data in the form of descriptions, presentations, and writings relevant to the research topic, which are referred to from books, journals, and articles. This research method is descriptive, which describes data from library materials according to relevant studies. The data was collected using a documentary technique, in which the data was extracted from documents from various library materials, then analyzed using content analysis. With this technique, qualitative data is sorted, categorized (grouped) with similar data. The contents are critically analyzed so that a concrete formulation is formulated which is then explained in depth. The emergence of several phenomena in this country such as the issue of terrorism, Islamophobia, excessive demonstrations, discrimination against one group and blasphemers of religion, made the government realize that Indonesia is a large country that has hundreds of tribes and languages. Ways are needed to maintain that sovereignty, one of which is by providing an understanding in education about the application of moderation in everyday life. Some Islamic values that need to be understood and implemented in the moderation process of Islamic education are: Tawasuth, Tawazun, I'tidal, Tasamuh, Musawah, Shura, Islah, Awlawiyah, Tathawur, Tahaddhur.

This present study aims to describe the religious ethics and its actualization in today’s education system according to Ibn Hazm. A qualitative approach was employed in this library research. The data sources consist of primary and secondary data that were collected by using documentation. The data were analyzed by using content analysis and historical analysis. This findings demonstrate that according to Ibn Hazm, religious ethics are based on the Qur’an and Hadith. It tends to solve the complication of “dialectic” and focus on the effort in spreading the spirit of Islamic morality directly. This study also promote that several life problems that caused by globalization can be handled by using the principles of religious ethics offered by Ibn Hazm.

The various verses of the Quran explain that zikr and Tafakkur  are always related. They should have become the spirit of the education system so that the graduates could possess a balanced zikr and Tafakkur . On the contrary, education is more focused on the development of knowledge. The dichotomy of knowledge affects education where ideally Islamic education includes zikr and Tafakkur  education. Therefore, the integration of zikr and Tafakkur  is something important, urgent, and beneficial for the improvement of the nation's morality. The purpose of this study is to ensure the importance of the concept of zikr and Tafakkur  in the perspective of the Qur'an by providing thought on the importance of the integration of zikr and Tafakkur  in Islamic education so that it could be the basis for the development of Islamic education. The approach used in this study was the qualitative approach by employing the library research method. The integration of zikr and Tafakkur  in Islamic educational institutions can be realized if the Qur’an is made as to the main base of knowledge source by researching, understanding, and deepening the science and technology based on Qur’an.
