Objective: This study was conducted to determine the IC50 value of zeaxanthin, to know the formula that meets the requirements of the results of physical evaluation of gel preparations, and to know the effectiveness of zeaxanthin gel as an anti-aging on the skin. Methods: The preparation of this gel is made using zeaxanthin as an active substance with concentrations of 5%; 7.5%; and 10%. Tests conducted are organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH, spreadability, viscosity, irritation test and cycling test. Tests conducted are organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH, spreadability, viscosity, irritation test and cycling test. Tests on the effectiveness of zeaxanthin gel preparations against the backs of volunteers' hands were divided into 4 groups as well as testing conducted over 28 d. Results: The results showed a value of IC50 zeaxanthin of 9.044 μg/ml, all gel preparations met the requirements of physical evaluation results except in cycling test and test results of the effectiveness of zeaxanthin gel preparations on the backs of volunteer hands there was an increase in humidity with an average increase of 33.17%±11.867 and wrinkles obedience with an average decrease of 47.466%±7.115. Conclusion: Zeaxanthin can be formulated as gel anti-aging.

ABSTRACT Kaliandra Leaf (Calliandra surinamensis Benth) contains flavonoid compounds, saponins and tannins which are able to inhibit the antibacterial activity. This study aims to test the antibacterial effectiveness of gel preparation of ethanol extracts of kaliandra leaf to obtain the greatest formula, and prove the Kaliandra leaf gel preparation has good physical stability. This study uses a laboratory experimental method. Gel formula is made as many as 5 formulas with variations in the concentration of 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, and 6% of w : v. Kaliandra leaf extraction was carried out by maceration method using 96% ethanol. The antibacterial test of the ethanol extracts of Kaliandra leaf gel using the method of welling against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria produced a moderate inhibition of 7.0 ± 0.63 mm at a concentration of 6%. The physical evaluation of the preparation includes organoleptic test, homogeneity test, syneresis test, scatter power test, adhesion test, pH test, cycling test, and sterility test. All tests are carried out before and after the cycling test. The results of the study on the preparation fulfilled the physical evaluation requirements before and after the cycling test. It can be concluded that the concentration of 6% of ethanol extracts of Kaliandra leaves could be formulated as a gel preparation that is physically stable and has moderate antibacterial activity. Keywords: Kaliandra (Calliandra surinamensis Benth), Gel preparations, Staphylococcus aureus antibacterial.  ABSTRAK Daun Kaliandra (Calliandra surinamensus Benth) mengandung senyawa flavonoid, saponin dan tannin yang mampu menghambat aktivitas antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas antibakteri sediaan gel ekstrak etanol daun Kaliandra untuk mendapatkan formula terbesar, serta membuktikan sediaan gel daun Kaliandra mempunyai stabilitas fisik yang baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekperimental laboratorium. Formula sediaan gel dibuat sebanyak 5 formula dengan variasi konsentrasi 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, dan 6% b/v. Ekstraksi daun Kaliandra dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan etanol 96%.  Penelitian uji antibakteri sediaan gel ekstrak etanol daun Kaliandra menggunakan metode sumuran pada bakteri staphylococcus aureus menghasilkan daya hambat yang sedang yaitu 7,0±0,63 mm pada konsentrasi 6%. Evaluasi fisik sediaan meliputi uji organoleptik, uji homogenitas, uji sineresis, uji daya sebar, uji daya lekat, uji pH, uji cycling test, dan uji sterilitas. Semua pengujian dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah cycling test. Hasil penelitian sediaan memenuhi persyaratan eveluasi fisik sebelum uji cycling test dan sesudah cycling test. Dapat disimpulkan pada kosentrasi 6% ekstrak etanol daun Kaliandra dapat diformulasi sebagai sediaan gel yang stabil secara fisik dan memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang sedang. Kata kunci : Kaliandra (Calliandra surinamensis Benth), Sediaan Gel, Antibakteri Staphlococcous  aureus.

ABSTRACT Kedondong leaves (Spondias dulcis) contain flavonoid compounds, saponins and tannins that inhibit bacterial activity. This study aims to formulate, evaluate, and test the antibacterial effectiveness of the ethanol extracts gel of the Kedondong leaves (Spondias dulcis) at a concentration of 6%, 8%, 10%, respectively. This study uses an experimental method by testing the physical evaluation requirements of gel preparations. Physical evaluation of preparations includes organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, dispersion test, adhesion test and cycling test, all tests are carried out before and after the cycling test. The results of the study on the gel dispersion test did not meet the physical evaluation requirements before the cycling test and after the cycling test there was a synergetic and did not meet the requirements. Antibacterial test of ethanol extracts gel of Kedondong leaves against Pseudomonas aeruginosa produced weak inhibitory properties. Penelitian uji antibakteri sediaan gel ekstrak etanol daun Kedondong pada bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa menghasilkan daya hambat yang lemah. Dapat disimpulkan pada gel kosentrasi 6%, 8%, 10% ekstrak etanol daun Kedondong tidak dapat diformulasi sebagai sediaan gel karena kurang stabil secara fisik dan memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang lemah.  Kata kunci : Antibakteri, Gel HPMC, Kedondong (Spondias dulcis), Pseudomonas aeruginosa

The format of preparation cosmetic in a cream form is still popular in Indonesia, especially for the women. Because its easier to applied, and more comfortable. Literature review of evaluation cream preparation test is to compare the results of cream evaluation preparation from the previous researches, in order to get the best test results and accordance with specified conditions. The general purpose of this research is to know the results of Literature review of evaluation cream preparation test from several journals. Method This research is qualitative research which is Library research Cream evaluation preparation is a Parameters that have been established to determine the stability of cream preparation including organoleptic test, pH test, homogeneity test, type cream test, viscosity test, and scattering test. From the result of organoleptic test, pH test, viscosity test and scattering test review have the results partial test standards, and some doesn’t. this is due to the temperature factor, excessive extract concentration and chemical reaction at the time of storage is accelerated. Evaluasi sediaan krim adalah parameter yang telah ditetapkan untuk mengetahui kestabilan sediaan krim diantaranya uji organoleptik, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji tipe krim, uji viskositas, dan uji Daya sebar. Hasil review uji organoleptik, pH, viksositas dan daya sebar memiliki hasil sebagian memenuhi standar uji, dan sebagian tidak memenuhi standar uji yang telah ditetapkan. Hal ini dikarenakan faktor suhu, konsentrasi ekstrak yang berlebih serta reaksi kimia pada saat penyimpanan dipercepat. ABSTRACT Kersen leaf (Muntingia calabura L.) contains flavonoids, saponins and tannins, which could inhibit bacterial activity. This study aimed to formulate, evaluate, and to test the effectiveness of antibacterial preparations for the Kersen leaf ethanol extracts mask.  This study uses the experimental method by testing the parameters of the physical evaluation requirements for the masker. Physical evaluation of preparations included organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, scattering power test, dry time test, sticky test and cycling test, all tests were carried out before and after cycling test. The results of the preparation study meet the requirements of physical evaluation before the cycling test but after the cycling test is is not in accordance to the requirements for the preparation of the peel-off mask. The antibacterial test of mask peel-off ethanol extract of Kersen's leaves on Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria produced a moderate inhibition. Penelitian uji antibakteri masker peel-off ekstrak etanol daun Kersen pada bakteri staphylococcus epidermidis menghasilkan daya hambat yang sedang. In this research, secang wood will be used as a cream using Sumbawa beeswax base. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best cream formulation with secang wood extract and beeswax. Cream formula is based on the concentration of secang extract 0.5-2.5 grams and beeswax 0.2-4 grams in 20 grams of the preparation. Determination of physical evaluation will be carried out several tests, namely organoleptic test, pH, adhesion, dispersal power and protective power. The results showed that all three formulas, Formulation 1 (F1) and F3 were homogeneous, while F2 was not homogeneous. In pH testing, all formulations 1,2 and 3 have an average pH of 6. And in organoleptic testing, F3 shows a score of 3.9 in form and is the highest compared to the two other formulations, F1 has a score of 2.8, F2 scores 2.2. Whereas in color organoleptic, the highest score is F3 with a score of 3.8, F1 score 2.8 and F3 score 2.2. And in odorless organoleptics, F1 has the highest score of 3.6, F3 score of 3.3 and F2 score of 2.7. In the scatter power test, F1 has an average value of 11.8, F2 with a value of 53.52 and F3 with a value of 11.68. F1, F2 and F3 adhesion tests have values ??of 2.3 seconds, 2.3 and 3.67, respectively. And in KOH protection testing all formulas show changes.

The government, in dealing with the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic, has set new policies, such as isolation, social and physical distancing, and large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) that keep people staying, working, worshiping, and studying at home. This study aimed to analyze learning at home in a family environment during the pandemic. The method used was ex-post facto. The causes of the naturally occurring variables were reviewed. The population in this study was all students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program (PAI) of STAI DDI of Makassar City, as many as 225 students, from which 26 (from semester VI) were taken as the sample using a simple random sampling technique. The results of this research with descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis showed that the normality test of the learning-at-home activities showed a value of 1.025 and that of the family environment showed a value of 2.131 (sig>α, normal distribution), the homogeneity test results showed a value of 1.412 (sig>α, homogeneous), the linearity test results showed a value of 0.986 (sig>α, linear), and the activeness and the results of the hypothesis test with the correlation test showed a sig value of 0.023, with the criteria of sig (0.023) of <α (0.05). Finally, this study concluded that there are learning at home in the family environment amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

 Objective: The present study is to determine the evaluation profile of the preparations nanoemulsion and cream of miconazole nitrate.Methods: Preparation of nanoemulsi with concentrations 1%, 1.5%, and 2% using the principle of low-energy emulsification and miconazole nitrate cream was then performed physical evaluation of the preparation which included organoleptic test, pH measurement, viscosity test, emulsion type, cycling test, centrifugation test, particle size measurement with particle size analyzer, and homogeneity test of cream preparations.Result: Based on organoleptic test, it can be seen that the miconazole nitrate nanoemulsion preparations produced are clear, colored weak yellow, and the cream is white. The average pH of the nanoemulsion preparations ranged from 6.01 to 6.25, while the cream preparations were 5.95–6.52. The average viscosity values of nanoemulsion preparations were 1707 cps, 1920 cps, and 1987 cps, respectively. In the cycling test, the nanoemulsion preparation remained weak yellow and odorless, and the cream preparation remained white and did not experience phase separation. In the centrifugation test, the nanoemulsion preparation and the cream were centrifuged at a rate of 3800 for 5 h, after centrifugation tests, both the nanoemulsing and cream preparations did not show any phase separation, in the nanoemulsion preparation possibly due to the high viscosity of the preparation. On the type nanoemulsi test, by dripping methylene blue on the formula. After observed, the blue methylene is evenly dispersed into the formula, indicating that all four formulas have an oil-in-water emulsion type (o/w). The particle size of the nanoemulsion preparation ranged from 102.36 nm to 309.11 nm.Conclusion: The results of evaluation of miconazole nitrate nanoemulsion preparations were better than cream preparations.

ABSTRACT                Sesewanua leaves (Cleodendron squamatum Vahl.) contain alkaloids and flavonoids which are efficacious as antioxidants. This study aimed to fomulate, evaluate, and test the effectiveness of antioxidants in the form of peel-off mask of ethanol extract from the Sesewanua leaves. This study used descriptive-analytic method with the treatment of variations in concentrations of  PVA 12 % , 14% and 16 %, respectively. Physical evaluation of preparations included organoleptic observation, homogeneity test, pH test, scattering power test, drying time test, and cycling test, all tests were carried out before and after the cycling test. The results showed that all preparations met the requirements of physical evaluation before the cycling test while after the cycling test only preparations with 12% PVA concentrations met the requirement, whereas preparations with 14% and 16% of PVA did not met the requirement after the cycling test and after testing antioxidant effectiveness using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-pikrilhidrazil) method were obtained. The value of  IC50  before cycling test was 179.120 mg/L and after cycling test was 504.74mg/L. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of Sesewanua leaves can be formulated into a peel-off mask with 12% PVA concentration which is physically stable and has moderate antioxidant effectiveness before the cycling test, while after cycling test the preparation of peel-off mask ethanol extract of Sesewanua leaves is less effective as an antioxidant. Keywords:  Sesewanua leaves (Cleodendron squamatum Vahl.), peel-off mask, antioxidantsABSTRAK               Daun Sesewanua (Cleodendron squamatum Vahl.) mengandung alkaloid dan flavonoid yang berkhasiat sebagai antioksidan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua sediaan memenuhi persyaratan evaluasi fisik sebelum uji cycling test sedangkan setelah uji cycling test hanya sediaan dengan  konsentrasi PVA 12% yang memenuhi persyaratan sedangkan sediaan dengan konsentrasi PVA 14% dan 16% tidak memenuhi persyaratan setelah uji cycling test, dan setelah dilakukan uji efektivitas antioksidan dengan metode DPPH (1,1-difenil-2-pikrilhidrazil) diperoleh nilai IC50 sebelum uji cycling test sebesar 179,120 mg/L dan sesudah cycling test sebesar 504,74 mg/L. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun Sesewanua dapat diformulasi menjadi sediaan masker peel-off dengan konsentrasi PVA 12% yang stabil secara fisik dan memiliki efektivitas antioksidan yang sedang sebelum uji cycling test sedangkan setelah cycling test sediaan masker peel-off ektrak etanol daun sesewanua kurang efektif sebagai antioksidan. Kata Kunci : Sesewanua (Cleodendron squamatum Vahl.), masker peel-off, Antioksidan.

Efforts to lower blood sugar levels for diabetes mellitus patients can take by consuming  a popular functional drinks which has been added by herbal ingredients such as breadfruit leaves. The aim of this research is to observe the effect of addition three-types of sweetener (aspartame, acesulfam k, and sorbitol) in different ratio (50%: 25%: 25%, 25%: 50%: 25%, 25%: 25%: 50%) to the antioxidant capacity and glucose level of functional drinks made from breadfruit leaves, as well as its number of calories and variety sensory tests (sour taste, sweetness and texture). The experimental design used a Completely Randomized Design with three replications. This study also employs 35 panellists to produce organoleptic quality data in two repetitions.  All collected data were then analyzed using ANOVA test followed by DMRT test. Results showed that the highest antioxidant capacity was obtained by ratio 25%: 25%: 50% of aspartame, acesulfam k, and sorbitol with IC50 value of 64,717 ppm. Meanwhile the lowest glucose level was resulted by ratio 50%: 25%: 25% of aspartame, acesulfam k, and sorbitol in value of 25.53 g/100g. The highest number of calorie was produced by ratio 25%: 25%: 50% of aspartame, acesulfam k, and sorbitol with a value of 126.44 cal. / 100gr. Whereas, the most preferred formulas of breadfruit drink formulas are found in ratio 25%: 25%: 50% of aspartame, acesulfam k, and sorbitol.

ABSTRACTBelimbing wuluh leaves (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) Contains  flavonoids, phenols, alkaloids, tannins and coumarin. The aim of this research is formulated ethanol extract of Belimbing Wuluh leaves in the form of cream preparations, as well as test the effectiveness of antioxidants using the DPPH method. Extract was made by maceration method using ethanol 96% formulated into a cream with a concentration of 3%, 5%, 7%. The results of the cream preparations evaluation before and after cycling test meet the requirements of organoleptis, homogeneity, pH, adhesiveness, coverage. The test results of antioxidant activity with the DPPH method using the most effective UV-Vis spectrophotometer as the antioxidant cream of the leaves extract Belimbing Wuluh is 7% has a value of IC50 = 0.118 ppm and vitamin C as comparator has a value of IC50 = 0.0327 ppm. From this research can be concluded that Belimbing Wuluh leaves ethanol extract cream can be formulated as a stable cream and has a very strong antioxidant activity. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan dengan metode DPPH menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis yang paling efektif sebagai krim antioksidan dari ekstrak daun Belimbing Wuluh adalah 7 % memiliki nilai IC50 = 0,118 ppm dan vitamin C sebagai pembanding memiliki nilai IC50 = 0,0327 ppm. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa krim ekstrak  etanol daun Belimbing Wuluh dapat diformulasikan sebagai sediaan krim yang stabil dan memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat.  Kata kunci : Daun Belimbing Wuluh, Krim, Antioksidan, DPPH
