The strength of a teacher in teaching is heavily influenced by the effective communication practiced by Dikelas-kelas. Learners are so cool with every word and story that the teacher developed. They are as stunted in the strains of beautiful melodies that splash. While this is the teaching of the teacher, the learners have the convenience of capturing it. Effective communication is very important for the learning process, because as a process where the existence of students with diverse cultures, family background and differences of viewpoints and self-stability are still vulnerable will determine The success of communication itself. The success of communication in the teaching and learning process is not only determined by the teachers but also the mental readiness condition in the teaching-learning process, as well as will be supported by environmental conditioning and Management of the school itself. There is a wide range of breakthroughs in improving communication skills for BK teachers, because BK teachers have the duties, responsibilities, and authority in the implementation of tutoring and counseling services for learners. Related to the student's self-development that suits the needs, potential, talents, interests, and personality of students at school/Madrasah.To improve students ' learning performance, BK teachers are required to create a conducive situation and encourage students to learn more optimally both in independent learning and in class learning with enthusiasm. In order to learn to teach more communicative, there is also necessary proximity between master BK and students as an effort to establish a trust between the two. As a manifestation and concern for the communication process that occurred in the school between the BK teachers and high school students in Depok, then the STIAMI Institute conducts effective communication training for the teachers of BK SMA. With the aim of building and improving the communication skills of master BK to support the process of teaching more effectively through communication. If we accept the view that teaching is one form of social interaction and highly a communication process, then it is possible to argue that different forms and kinds of social influence are established between a teacher and a pupil, and not only the influence of teacher on the pupil, but vice versa as well, the influence of pupil on the teacher. This paper emphasises the importance of social context in motivating the pupil by certain stimulative measures, which is substantiated by the results of the study performed in primary schools in Belgrade. The technique of systematic observation was applied and it comprised monitoring the classes of regular teaching and the frequency of stimulative measures in regular classes. The aim of research was to determine the significance of difference between the quality of communication between teachers and pupils and the frequency of stimulative measures. The quality of communication encompassed the course of verbal communication, expressing of initiative in class on the part of pupils, two kinds of pupils' responses and the possibility of combining those kinds and, finally, the dominant form of class work. The concluding part of the paper lists the basic steps that contribute to the quality of the communication between pupils and teachers.

Abstract Introduction Health communication has gained space in medical debates, especially in the public health, since the quality of the communication process, until the context of the patient-physician relationship. The recently inaugurated Medicine courses in Brazil recognize the importance of this interface in the training of medical professionals since the first semester. Methods A questionnaire prepared by professors was applied to medical students from a Brazilian Midwest public university to evaluate their prior knowledge acquired of health communication. Fourteen questions previously prepared were subdivided into three categories. The category chosen for the presentation of these data were: The importance of the study of health communication for Medicine and Public Health. Results Sixty students were interviewed, and 78% of participants assessed the health communication as very important for the medical sciences. 47% say that within the university, this communication is good; 30% consider regular and only 18% feel great. 96% of the students believe that education is the most important factor in determining the quality of health communication process, even when compared with age variables and internet access. The importance of the study of communication to the doctor-patient relationship was considered beneficial, and 74% classified it as essential. Conclusions Thus, we noted that most respondents recognize the importance of health communication in their own training and doctor's relationship with the community. However, it is detected the existence of communication failures in the Brazilian health services, which shows the need for medical training to develop innovative and effective communication strategies in public health. The importance of the study of communication to the patient-physician relationship was considered beneficial, and classified as essential, for medical formation, which reflects in the Brazilian health care system. Key messages Communication failures in the Brazilian health services need attention: it's necessary to develop effective communication strategies in public health. The importance of health communication is recognized in students training and doctor's relationship with the community.

Abstract Communication is a process of sharing information through speech, writing, gestures or symbols between two or more people. The focus of the present paper is oral communication and the language under consideration is English. The teacher should adopt a student centered approach. The learners should be encouraged to do things in the class which result in developing their communication skills. The trainer has to focus on both the linguistic and paralinguistic features of the communication process while enhancing learners’ communication skills. These features involve the effective use of words, forming grammatically intelligible sentences and an appropriate use of voice and intonation. The teacher should encourage and train his students to use positive body language while listening and speaking. In order to hone the communication skills of the learners, it is very important to make the learners comfortable with the language they have to communicate in. Shedding their inhibitions is also one of the pivotal areas of concerns. This paper explores different techniques that could be useful while training students in communication skills. Communication is a process of sharing information through speech, writing, gestures or symbols between two or more people. The focus of the present paper is oral communication and the language under consideration is English. The major elements of a communication process are sender, receiver, message and feedback. Effective communication is a two way process. It involves both expressive (speaking) skills and receptive (listening) skills. It entails receiver’s understanding of the message sent by the sender and his feedback to the sender. Listening plays a very important role in the language learning process. It is the most primary of the four basic skills of any language i.e. Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Listening paves way for speaking. One can never be a good speaker if one is not a good listener. An effective communicator is first a good listener and then a good speaker. According to Tickoo ( 2003 ), ‘Good listening skills not only lay the foundations of good speech, but they grow best through effective communication’.

The paper presents results of a quasiexperiment where the three social classroom applications Post-It, WordCloud, and Categorizer were used in software architecture lectures. Post-It and WordCloud are applications that allow students to brainstorm or give comments related to a given topic. Categorizer is a puzzle game where the students are asked to place a number of terms in one of two correct categories. The three applications are multimodal HTML5 applications that enable students to interact in a classroom using their own digital devices, and the teacher’s laptop is used to display progress and results on the large screen. The focus of this study was to evaluate how the difference of these applications and how their integration into the lecture affected the students’ motivation, engagement, thinking, activity level, social interaction, creativity, enjoyment, attention, and learning. In addition, the study evaluated the usability and the technical quality of the applications. The results of the experiment show that the way such applications are integrated into a lecture highly affects the students’ attitude. The experiment also showed that the game-based application was on average better received among the students and that the students’ attitude was highly sensitive to the difficulty level of the game.

Both the authors’ previous experience and the devoted literature highlight the particular role of teacher-student communication for the quality of graduates’ professional development and education. The research presented herein is based on a sociological survey conducted in a large university from north-west Romania, on more than 600 Economics Master’s students. The chief goal of our research is to determine efficient ways to improve the student training provided by the master programmes in Economics, by means of a better stimulation on the part of the teachers, a more efficient teacher – student communication, a better quality of the teaching materials employed and a greater relevance of the educational content for the particular area of specialisation pursued. After an initial review of the material resulted from the sociological survey, we continued to analyse the results in relation to the tiers of the communication process, the role of groups in the learning process and of the education process in the development of emotional intelligence.Within the current phase of our study, the underlying hypotheses are:(1) The training of Economics and Business Administration students provides them with opportunities of professional specialisation, while developing skills and abilities useful in everyday life.(2) The students’ training in Economics also entails an implicit educational process, which supports the development of their emotional intelligence.(3) Multiculturalism bears manifold benefits, both in terms of specialist professional training and on graduates’ attitudes and behaviour in the social life. This study allowed us to validate the hypotheses and to draw some interesting conclusions for the education of students enrolled in the university surveyed.

AbstractRare neuromuscular diseases (NDs) are a group of inherited or acquired neurological pathologies affecting the muscles and the nervous system. Their low prevalence and high geographical dispersion can cause isolation and difficulties in social interaction between affected equals. New technologies, such as videoconferencing, offer a complementary option for improving the health of this population. The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of a teleassistance program at improving health-related quality of life (HRQoL) through social interaction in adults with NDs. The sample consisted of 45 participants affected by rare NDs. Twenty-four participants were assigned to the experimental group (EG), which participated in the videoconferencing sessions, and 21 to the control group. Three questionnaires were administered: WHO-DAS II, Sickness Impact Profile, and SF-36 Health Survey. Effectiveness was assessed by a pre-post design. An online psychosocial program was applied over three-month period. Data revealed an improvement of the EG in psychosocial variables, e.g. “Getting along with people” (z = –2.289, r = –.47, p ≤ .05) or “Psychosocial Domain” (z = –2.404, r = –.49, p ≤ .05), and in physical variables, e.g. “Life activities” (z = –2.844, r = –.58, p ≤ .05). Social interaction appeared as a relevant factor at improving HRQoL levels. High levels of satisfaction about the teleassistance program were reported.

South Australian (SA) food charity recipients’ perspectives were sought on existing services and ideas for improvement of food assistance models to address food insecurity. Seven focus groups were conducted between October and November 2017 with 54 adults. Thematically analysed data revealed five themes: (1) Emotional cost and consequences of seeking food relief; (2) Dissatisfaction with inaccessible services and inappropriate food; (3) Returning the favour—a desire for reciprocity; (4) Desiring help beyond food; and, (5) “It’s a social thing”, the desire for social interaction and connection. Findings revealed that some aspects of the SA food assistance services were disempowering for recipients. Recipients desired more empowering forms of food assistance that humanise their experience and shift the locus of control and place power back into their hands. Some traditional models, such as provision of supermarket vouchers, empower individuals by fostering autonomy and enabling food choice in socially acceptable ways. Improvement in the quality of existing food assistance models, should focus on recipient informed models which re-dress existing power relations. Services which are more strongly aligned with typical features of social enterprise models were generally favoured over traditional models. Services which are recipient-centred, strive to empower recipients and provide opportunities for active involvement, social connection and broader support were preferred.
