Abstract: The worldwide growth in call for refrigeration brought about the manufacturing of extra power and this, in turn, brought about extra use of CFCs. CFCs, in particular, are a notable factor in the ozone layer's depletion. TER (Thermoelectric Refrigerator) is a revolutionary option that eliminates the use of refrigerant. As a result, it is critical, especially in underdeveloped countries where extended life and inexpensive maintenance are required. The goal of this research is to design and build a functional TER that uses the Peltier effect to cool this volume to much lower temperature in under two hours and retain it for at least the next 1/2 hour. In this project, we created a TE system that works with both solar and electrical power. Food preservation, military or aerospace equipment, medicinal and pharmaceutical equipment are just some of the uses for the project. Keywords: Thermo-electric Refrigerator, CFCs, COP, Peltier Effect

Thermally-induced bacterial mutagens are formed when foods are processed by some commercial food preservation techniques. The processes which involve longer times and higher temperatures are most likely to produce mutagens (e.g., canning and evaporative concentration). Pasteurization and spray drying processes possess a low potential for creation of mutagens. The types of food products with the greatest tendency to contain mutagens following heat treatments are muscle foods such as canned meats and fish. Canned beef broth, chili, hash, roast beef, pink and red salmon, and mackerel contain substances which induce mutation rates up to 20 times higher than spontaneous revertant colonies in the Ames Salmonella mutagenicity assay. Using canned pink salmon as a representative product, reprocessing increased mutagen content, whereas addition of Maillard-browning reaction inhibitors led to significant decreases in mutagen formation. Even though thermally-induced mutagens can arise during household cooking (e.g., frying and charcoal grilling), the consumer can choose to minimize their production through use of lower temperature methods such as boiling, steaming or microwave heating. This option is not available to the consumer of commercially canned foods. Hence, further research into the reduction of mutagen formation during thermal processing is needed.

This paper discusses an attempt to compares the electrical characteristics of two solar modules of the same type and size in which one of the solar modules at the bottom is mounted a copper pipe for circulating water (as call photovoltaic thermal). The research was steered to observe water cooling effect to electrical characteristics of PV module. This system serves as a heat absorption on the bottom of the solar module. The experiment is conducted at the same time, place, and sunlight intensity conditions for both solar modules. The characteristics of short-circuit current, open circuit voltage, upper and lower temperature and the irradiation of sunlight from the two solar modules are observed. The test results show that photovoltaic thermal generate greater electrical power than solar modules not equipped with heat absorption

Waste heat recovery is one way to reduce the use of fossil fuels, one of them is by using thermoelectric generator to convert waste heat into Thermoelectric Generator (TEGs) is a module that can convert heat into electrical power directly, using Seebeck effect and Peltier effect as its working principle, so it can increase efficiency of energy consumption by utilizing waste heat from an instrument that generate waste heat. The focus of this research is to find the output voltage of TEG by utilizing the temperature difference on the cold side and the heat side of the TEGs. The heat side of the module will be given heat from the heater as a simulation of the heat from hot water, and on the cold side heat pipes will be used to remove the heat on the cold side of TEGs. The result, output voltage that generated by using 4 module TEGs that arranged to Thermal Series - Series Circuit and using 2 heat pipes is 2.1-volt, and then it is possible to use for phone charger.

The correlation of an effective thermal conductivity (keff) on spherical packed bed porous media with stagnant fluid was proposed. Alumina-Cordierite ceramic ball (Al-Co) having average diameter (d) of 2.1 cm and porosity (Φ) of 0.468 was examined. The experimental procedure was operated based on ASTM E1225. The tested porous sample was sandwiched by references materials (Solid Brass, 70%Cu, 30%Zn). A higher temperature (TH) on the top of test set was obtained from wire heater with a constant electrical power of 350 W. The water cooling set was installed at the bottom of to generate a lower temperature (TL). Four previous models established from geometrical structure were compared to validate the present correlation. From experiment, it was found that keff decreased with increasing TH. Thus, the relation between keff and TH was appropriately proposed by a correlating linear-equation (keff/kf = 329.2(1-0.1028(TH/100)). Agreement between the present correlation and literature models was satisfied particular.

Rock asphalt is one of the widely distributed resources in nature. Therefore, this study employs natural rock asphalt as an additive. The focus of this study is to look at the potential of using natural rock asphalt as an asphalt binder modifier. The study looks at five different percentages of modified asphalt (NRA) concentration from Anbar factory asphalt for oxidized bitumen: 0%, 5%, 10%, 20%, and 30%. The results show that using modified natural rock asphalt increased the mechanical qualities of basic asphalt, such as penetration and softening point, flash point, and viscosity. In addition, the current results show that the asphaltic materials that can be used in paving according to the measuring of conventional tests such as ductility, penetration, and others. Furthermore, the findings indicate that modified asphalt has lower temperature sensitivity.

This paper on the cyclic temperature heating and cooling control system proposes a method to control and adjust to the suitable temperatures for the rooms. The system is utilised to control the temperature in various real-time environments. This where the paper on the cyclic temperature heating and cooling control system comes in by making the use of the peltier effect in the thermoelectric module, which is trying to solve the above problem. The temperature sensor detects the change in temperature as the difference between the set-point temperature which is used to execute the fan or the heater. The error in the system is reduced by the Proportional-IntegralDerivative (PID) controller which is around 80%-90%, which is often created by the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) which generates square wave responsible for switching ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ the thermoelectricmodule. These then switch between the MetalOxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFETS) using the H-bridge circuit causing to change the flow of Direct Current (DC) current which in turn, is responsible for controlling the temperature of the surroundings. It can be used in precise temperature control and rapid thermal cycling in a micromachined DNA polymerase chain reaction chip.It also can be used in temperature control for PCR thermo-cyclers based on peltier effect thermo-electric. It can be used in an automotive cabin climate control system.Help in improving solar cooling technologies. Also, improve in the accuracy of the thermal testing of equipment.
