The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of organizational agility on the competitive advantage in Jordanian telecommunication companies. Data were collected from 460 participants through a survey questionnaire. Likert scale was used to measure the concepts of organizational agility and competitive advantage. The findings of the study indicated that organizational agility is related positively and significantly to the company’s competitive advantage. Results of the study confirmed that organizational agility is increasingly becoming a critical factor in achieving sustained competitive advantage in such IT and the knowledge-intensive industry as the telecommunication sector. Telecommunication companies are advised to focus on developing organizational agility to acquire a competitive advantage.

In knowledge intensive industries such as the Business process Outsourcing and the Offshoring or shared service centres, the approach to learning has a significant role to play in deriving competitive advantage from domain experts who have had exposure to multiple clients who may have had a presence across the globe. The organizational experience gathered over a period of time is most relevant when redesigning processes, leveraging automation and driving business impact through higher revenue for the clients. The BPO industry is at a point of inflection where retaining top performers to showcase deep domain expertise, access to technology and a learning culture can be a huge differentiator that influences client’s choice of vendor partners. The current paper provides a Learning organization framework and establishes a link with indicators of organizational performance – employee retention, competitive advantage and financial performance. A questionnaire survey of managers from the BPO sector in India has been conducted. The findings indicate a that a robust learning organization is critical to retaining talent and gaining competitive advantage both of which have a mediating effect on the financial performance of the organization. Conclusions have been drawn from the statistical analysis and implications for the industry have been recommended.

<p>This study aims to examine the effect of talent management and knowledge management on employee performance and the impact on performance of Private Colleges Employees in Kulonprogo, Yogyakarta, either partially or simultaneously. The research method used a survey with a questionnaire measured by a Likert Scale. The population is 104 Lecturers and Education Personnel at three active Private Colleges in Kulonprogo District. The data were analyzed by Lisrel 8.80 software. This study produced seven findings. First, Knowledge Management (X1) significantly affects on Employee Performance. Second, Talent Management (X2) significantly affects on Employee Performance (Y). Third, Knowledge Management (X1) and Talent Management (X2) simultaneously have a significant effect on Employee Performance (Y1). This study aims at finding out how transformational leadership effects the organizational innovation in leading telecommunication companies of Pakistan. The study used a well-established questionnaire for data collection. The data was collected through convenient sampling from 120 mid-level and high-level managers of telecommunication organizations. The study not only relied on emphasis of descriptive statistics but regression was run to analyze the data. The results exhibit that transformational leadership has a constructive and substantial impact on organizational innovation in the deliberated context. This study is deemed to guide the Pakistan’s Telecommunication sector to improve the way management can yield more value from their employees. It also shows the impact of globally recognized knowledge can work in varying cultures and contexts.

The objective of the article is to present the study of agritourism innovativeness. The analysis covers agritourism farms in Poland. It is also essential to identify the factors affecting the process of implementing innovation in agritourism. The objective of the article is to formulate conclusions on the impact of innovations on the development of agritourism and the competitiveness of agritourism farms that can be used by representatives of various agritourism-supporting institutions and organizations. A diagnostic survey–study was conducted in 2018, applying a survey questionnaire with a sample of 81 self-employed agritourism farm owners. Ward’s hierarchical clustering method was applied to group the counties in terms of innovativeness. For this purpose, the data provided by the central statistics authority (GUS) and the authors’ own survey study were used. The study confirms, e.g., the key significance of innovation for the development of agritourism in the counties analyzed. Additionally, in the article there is developed an original farm’s competitive positioning index and gaining a competitive advantage on the agritourism services market, with three farms in Germany, France and Poland, respectively as an example.

The study has aimed to investigate the impact of corporate social responsibility on organizational performance. The data from three telecommunication companies were collected through questionnaires, based on the Likert scale. The data has been collected from 500 employees of telecommunication companies. Statistical tools were used to analyze the data. The results showed that internal CSR positively affects both non-financial and financial performance. In addition, external CSR proved to positively affect non-financial performance. The effect of external CSR on financial performance was negative, but not significant. The current study provides insights into the value of corporate social responsibility key on organizational performance in telecommunication companies. Additionally, most of the respondents considered CSR as a key factor influencing the Organizational Performance of companies. This approach is expected to support telecommunication company&rsquo;s managers in the developing world to evaluate their current performance, estimate the desired state based on the results.

The COVID-19 pandemic undoubtedly has serious socio-economic effects. The whole world is going through a unprecedented crisis with all the characteristics of unpredictability and difficult prevention. Today, there is practically no organization that has not been affected by this crisis. During a period of great uncertainty, it is very important that organizations properly understand the impact of this threat on internal and external stakeholders. Only companies that are able to manage the crisis effectively with an adequate organizational culture and leadership can maintain a competitive advantage. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop and support an ethically oriented organizational culture that will strongly support ethical standards. The proactivity and ethical approach of this type of organizational culture contributes to mitigating the negative effects of the crisis and provides adequate support to employees. Based on the above facts, the basic motive of the research was to determine the extent to which an ethically oriented organizational culture is supported in the company during a period of severe business crisis and uncertainty. The research is based on the answers collected by a standardized and structured survey questionnaire on a sample of 100 respondents.

Purpose Although there is widespread agreement that organizational agility is increasingly becoming critical to achieving sustained competitive advantage, there is little consensus on what exactly constitutes organizational agility, or how it may be assessed and improved. The purpose of this paper is to contribute toward operationalization of the organizational agility construct through a high-level conceptual framework grounded in dynamic capabilities. Design/methodology/approach This is a conceptual paper that presents a new organizational agility framework, which draws from, and builds on, the existing literature. Findings This paper defines organizational agility as rapid, continuous and systematic evolutionary adaptation and entrepreneurial innovation directed at gaining and/or maintaining competitive advantage. The 5S Organizational Agility Framework proposes five dynamic capabilities (sensing, searching, seizing, shifting and shaping) underpinning organizational agility. Originality/value The framework presented in this paper contributes toward operationalization of the organizational agility construct.

Competitive advantage, as aset of unique abilities in an organization, allows it to enter new markets and overcome competition. This paper aims to determine the impact of agility and knowledge management on competitive advantage. According to the available literature and research background, three hypotheses are formed and tested. The data for the study are collected using a standard questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS V.18.0 and AMOS V.20.0 software packages. The results indicate that knowledge management affects the ability to gain competitive advantage both directly and indirectly through organizational agility.
