Indonesia is predicted to get a demographic bonus in 2020-2030. A demographic bonus will be beneficial if Indonesia's human development index (HDI) is high quality. In ASEAN, HDI Indonesia ranks 6th out of 10 countries. The government is intensively pushing the creative industries and MSMEs to become agents of development to maximize the demographic bonus that Indonesia will face. The government is targeting at least 2020 to print 1,000 digital technopreneurs, one million farmers and fishers, and eight million SMEs going digital. The purpose of this study is to determine the general picture, the benefits, and the extent to which HR influences the creative industry and MSMEs. Total Quality Management is an approach that tries to maximize the competitiveness of organizations through several improvements: increasing human resources, the quality of products, services, processes, and the environment. The results of research with the application and implementation of the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM) in the creative industry and MSMEs that human resources have a significant role in increasing creativity to produce products according to market demand, optimizing the use of information and communication technology, and increasing creative industries with fellow creative industries as well as colleges.

Management plays key parts in running operations of a business chain. Management combined with human resources will determine the success of a company. Along the way, in the currently tight business competition, consumers demand improved product quality and affordable price at the same time. One of the many ways company can choose to establish this condition is by applying Total Quality Management. This research is purposed to examine whether or not there are differences in quality and cost efficiency before and after the application of quality management and how the quality management carried out. The results show that there are differences in the quality produced before and after the implementation of quality management. After the implementation, there is a decrease in the reject products and the production cost is lower. This concludes that the application of total quality management is beneficial for the company due to well manage communication and supervision among managers and operating staffs.

Competition in the business field is rapid and tight, particularly in the hospitality industry. A company needs the efforts to do continuous improvement toward the potential of human resources, process, and the environment to bring about the best quality of product or service. The effective and efficient way to improve those capabilities is by implementing Total Quality Management (TQM). TQM contributes the benefit such as increasing the competitiveness of the company. TQM concept denotes the concept of continuous improvement that applies to every level of the operation. W Bali – Seminyak, specifically housekeeping department has objective to offer the unique and special moments, inventing the creative staff, and recultivating the hospitality in Bali which committed to implementing TQM optimally. The purpose of the study was to investigate the implementation of Total Quality Management in the housekeeping department of W Bali-Seminyak as well as the obstacles to it. Methods of analysis used in this study were descriptive qualitative and descriptive statistical analysis. The result of this study indicated TQM had been implemented in the housekeeping department, W Bali- Seminyak.

This study aims to find out and analyze the classification of guest houses based on TQM implementation in Klojen Sub-district, Malang. The analytical method used was cluster analysis with 18 guest houses as the research objects and 22 statements about TQM in the questionnaire. The results showed that there were two groups of guest houses formed based on the TQM implementation. The first group was the guest house group which had theoritical TQM implementation and a vision. This group was also oriented to quality with good Human Resources who were given a freedom to be involved in it, and they constantly made continuous improvements focusing on the consumers’ wants and needs. Meanwhile, group 2 was the guest house group with TQM implementation which was built with strong teamwork and long-term commitment to implement it. For both groups, it is important to maintain the strong TQM variables and to improve the TQM variables that have not been implemented.

In increasing the quality of human resources, corporate can implement total quality management (TQM), by which an employee should do a job better, more effective and more efficient in producing the products with high quality and competitive price. The research aims to identify the implementation process of TQM, and its influence toward the quality of human resources. The result showed the variables of TQM (that is, employees role, employer role, relations of employer and employees, organizational aspects, and environ employees, organization aspects, and environmental aspects) are simultaneously have a significant influence toward the quality of human resources in PR. Human resources (HR) become the dominant factor in an institution, including the education sector. Education requires quality human resources, to carry out its role in meeting the educational needs of the community. Also related to Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Ummah Kotagede Yogyakarta is one of the pesantren-based educational institutions which is expected to have a Total Quality Management system in the management of education. This shows educational institutions contribute to customer satisfaction, both internal and external customers. In this paper discusses the basic concepts of human resource management based on Total Quality Management in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Ummah Kotagede Yogyakarta, which talks about the procedures for implementing human resource development, so that it gets results from the processes that have been carried out in the development of human resources in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Ummah Kotagede Yogyakarta. Data collection while in the field is done by observation, interviews, and documentation, which can then be classified as qualitative research. Based on the research process, it can provide input and evaluation to make improvements in the development of Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Ummah Kotagede Yogyakarta for the future that is better than ever before.
