Abstract Over the past decades, scholars have paid greater attention to relation between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and corporate reputation. However, despite a growing interest in this area, such linkages have remained relatively unexplored in the banking industry and the precise relationship is not clear. Moving from these considerations, this study proposes a systematic review of peer-reviewed scientific literature aiming to: 1) list, 2) classify and 3) compare existing studies. The review was carried out using the following databases: ISI Web, Google Scholar, and SSRN. I investigate a number of publishing academic works, summarizing main approaches, results and insights. I also provide a roadmap for future study and offer research questions about critical areas of this stream of research. The paper contributes to the ongoing international debates, and the preliminary results are encouraging.

AbstractIn essence firms or companies are usually thought to exist to make products for or provide services of some sort to third parties, other companies or individuals. The philosophical question which naturally arises then is ‘to the benefit of whom should a firm’s activities be aimed?’ Possible answers include the owners of the firm, the firm’s employees or wider society, the firm’s local community or their host nation. It is because of firms’ location within a wider society that the issue of corporate social responsibility arises. The issue is do they contribute in a positive way to the fabric of society. In this paper we conduct an exploratory investigation whose research questions, broadly, are whether there is public evidence of corporate social responsibility activity by firms listed in the UK and to what extent, if any, such activities may amount to genuinely socially responsible management by the firms. We examined the most up to date annual reports of a split sample of 36 firms listed in the FTSE 350. The short answers to the two research questions above are: to some degree and no by some margin, based on data from the sample firms.

Within the last decade, research has focussed on corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices as a strategic tool that enables firms to improve stakeholder perception, brand image and corporate reputation. However, one area that remains understudied is the role played by CSR practices in managing corporate reputation under conditions of supply chain risk. To answer this research question, we conduct a literature review and develop the corresponding hypothesis. We test our hypothesis using quantitative analysis of both primary and secondary data collected from organizations dispersed globally. The results highlight that under conditions of supply chain network disruption risk, CSR practices play an important role in enabling firms to manage the negative impact of such risk drivers on corporate reputation. The study further suggests that CSR practices positively impact supply chain risk management (SCRM) practices and are a necessary condition for SCRM practices to be effective in improving corporate reputation of organizations.

This paper is the study about the Corporate Social Responsibilities of the banking industry in India. Social Responsibility of business refers to what a business does over and above the statutory requirement for the benefit of the society. The word “responsibility” emphasizes that the business has some moral obligations towards the society. Corporate Social Responsibility also called Corporate Conscience or Responsible Business is a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model. The paper is based on secondary data. Now-a-days CSR has been assuming greater importance in the corporate world including financial institutions and banking sector. Banks and other financial institutions start promoting environment friendly and socially responsible lending and investment practices. The paper consists of key areas of 6 banks and a case study on HDFC Bank.

The study conducted a theoretical review and review of previous studies shows that the research gap is the correlation between social responsibility factors, green marketing strategy, corporate reputation and business performance. The practical context of the tourism service industry in Vietnam is also necessary and suitable for research. The study's overall objective is to propose and test a model on the relationship between corporate social responsibility, green marketing strategy, corporate reputation, and business performance. In the case of the study, it is a travel service business in Ho Chi Minh City. The research methodology of the research is a mixed-method, performed sequentially as follows: the first qualitative research through interviews with 10 experts to consider the necessity of the research problem in Vietnam, to adjust and supplement the scales for research concepts; Quantitative research with a questionnaire survey. According to the quota principle (quota), the sample was selected with a sample size of 218 travel companies to test the proposed theoretical research model. A second qualitative study was performed to aid the interpretation of the results from quantitative data analysis. Research results have identified stakeholders in the tourism industry, including tourists, travel businesses, local authorities and local people. The relationships between research concepts are confirmed, including corporate social responsibility, green marketing strategies that have a positive impact on corporation reputation, corporate social responsibility is found to have a positive impact on green marketing strategies, corporate social responsibility, green marketing strategies, and corporate reputation all have positive effects on business results. At the same time, the enterprise's characteristics in terms of the main type of business and the size of the business are identified as having differences in the relationship between research concepts.

<em>The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of corporate social responsibility disclosure, the effectiveness of the board of commissioners, institutional ownership and implementation of SFAS 60 (revised 2010) on the enterprise risk management disclosure. The data used in this research is secondary data, , obtained the annual report of the banking industry company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population of this research is the banking industry companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the years 2009-2015, amounting to 161 companies. The collection of samples using purposive sampling method by selecting predefined criteria. This study uses multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that not all independent variables showed a significant effect on the dependent variable. CSR disclosure and effectiveness of the board of commissioners has a positive effect on enterprise risk management disclosure. Meanwhile, institutional ownership has no effect on the enterprise risk management disclosure and the application of SFAS 60 (Revised 2010) has no effect on the enterprise risk management disclosure</em>
