Eight-poles of various designs, including an eight-terminal network with three input and five output terminals, are needed to replace some power objects. Especially when only the input and output characteristics of electrical energy are of interest. The paper presents the eightterminal network equations with three input and five output terminals, establishing a connection between these characteristics. Equations of the A-form establish a connection between the input and output voltages and currents; the B-form equations establish a connection between the output and input voltages and currents; G-form equations establish a connection between the input current, output voltages and output voltage, output currents; H-form equations establish the relationship between the input voltage, output currents and output current, output voltages; the Yform equations establish a connection between the input and output currents and the input and output voltages; The Z-form equations establish the relationship between the input and output voltages and the input and output currents. When implementing these equations, attention should be paid to the difference in the directions of the currents in each individual case.

Photon enhanced thermionic emission (PETE) is a new concept in solar energy conversion, combining thermal and photovoltaic carrier excitations with thermionic emission. A solar-power-driven thermionic energy converter operates by illuminating the solar light condensed by a large-scale Fresnel lens to convert heat energy into electrical energy. By enhancing the efficiency of converting solar radiation into the emitter internal energy, the output power and efficiency of the thermionic energy converter can be greatly improved. In this study, using numerical simulations, the effects of emitter temperature and output characteristics on a thermionic energy converter were investigated. The results showed that the higher rate of the heating power represented the higher temperature of an emitter, as well as output current density, and efficiency. In addition, by reducing the diameter of a collector and thermal conductivity of insulation materials, or increasing the diameter of emitter, the temperature of emitter, output current density, and efficiency could be notably improved. It is also worth mentioning that the main factor that affected the emitter temperature in the process of heat transfer was heat conduction between solids. In conclusion, adequate illumination, reasonable size of collector and emitter, as well as appropriate insulation measurements could efficiently improve the output characteristics of thermionic energy converter.

ь частоты, моделирование. Abstract. The urgency of the problem of studying the operation of inverters in the frequency Converter is shown. The characteristics of the pulse-width inverter when working on an asynchronous load are obtained. According to the results of research, conclusions are made to determine the relationship between the form of output current and current in the DC voltage link and the mode of operation of the asynchronous motor. It is determined that the inverter has the greatest influence on the internal and output characteristics of the frequency Converter. the Converter has an inverter.

Purpose – The use of power electronic equipment such as conventional AC-DC-AC converters cause several problems in electrical networks and its components. They generate harmonic currents and disturb the electrical power sources; so, it is necessary to research alternative topologies of power electronic converters based on advanced intelligent controllers, which reduce or even eliminate harmonics to achieve energy-saving and environmental protection. The use of matrix converter (MC) is, considered as an attractive solution to maintain pure sinusoidal input and output current waveforms. The paper aims to discuss this issue. Design/methodology/approach – The studied system is composed of a three phase matrix converter (TMC) feeding a linear R, L load and a trees phase rectifier considered as a non-linear load; the proposed control strategy is based on a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) associated to the (space vector modulation) SVM modulation technique, this choice is motivated by the advantages that represent the combination of FLC and SVM in term of power quality enhancement in both input and output sides of MC. Findings – The model is validated based on simulation results that illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed system in term of power quality amelioration. The high performance of the proposed FLC is illustrated in all study cases especially in the case of perturbed input voltage, it is not only able to keep the whole system stable, but also it reduces harmonic distortion THD to respect international standards recommendation. Originality/value – In this paper, an associated linear (RL), non-linear loads and TMC is studied. From the mathematical point of view, the MC is modeled and analyzed. From the technique point of view, the MC allows sinusoidal current absorbance from the network with good qualities in term of harmonic distortion compensation, and high reliability under various loads and disturbed input voltage.

Presents results of a study of the output characteristics of the electric fuel pumps fuel system cars. A new method of diagnosing test. The paper deals with the study of the relationship of the technical condition of the pump, with its high-quality performance fuel system. It is determined that the control of technical condition of pumps can be carried out by measuring the difference between the values of the rotational speed of a crankshaft when switching off the sparks and fuel. Experimental results are presented of the dynamic method, which has the most informative and information capacity.

A custom in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid fitting was compared to two over-the-ear (OTE) hearing aid fittings for each of 9 subjects with mild to moderately severe hearing losses. Speech intelligibility via the three instruments was compared using the Speech Intelligibility Rating (SIR) test. The relationship between functional gain and coupler gain was compared for the ITE and the higher rated OTE instruments. The difference in input received at the microphone locations of the two types of hearing aids was measured for 10 different subjects and compared to the functional gain data. It was concluded that (a) for persons with mild to moderately severe hearing losses, appropriately adjusted custom ITE fittings typically yield speech intelligibility that is equal to the better OTE fitting identified in a comparative evaluation; and (b) gain prescriptions for ITE hearing aids should be adjusted to account for the high-frequency emphasis associated with in-the-concha microphone placement.

Summary: Our meta-analysis focused on the relationship between homocysteine (Hcy) level and the incidence of aneurysms and looked at the relationship between smoking, hypertension and aneurysms. A systematic literature search of Pubmed, Web of Science, and Embase databases (up to March 31, 2020) resulted in the identification of 19 studies, including 2,629 aneurysm patients and 6,497 healthy participants. Combined analysis of the included studies showed that number of smoking, hypertension and hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) in aneurysm patients was higher than that in the control groups, and the total plasma Hcy level in aneurysm patients was also higher. These findings suggest that smoking, hypertension and HHcy may be risk factors for the development and progression of aneurysms. Although the heterogeneity of meta-analysis was significant, it was found that the heterogeneity might come from the difference between race and disease species through subgroup analysis. Large-scale randomized controlled studies of single species and single disease species are needed in the future to supplement the accuracy of the results.

In Uruguay, Lacanian ideas arrived in the 1960s, into a context of Kleinian hegemony. Adopting a discursive approach, this study researched the initial reception of these ideas and its effects on clinical practices. We gathered a corpus of discursive data from clinical cases and theoretical-doctrinal articles (from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s). In order to examine the effects of Lacanian ideas, we analysed the difference in the way of interpreting the clinical material before and after Lacan's reception. The results of this research illuminate some epistemological problems of psychoanalysis, especially the relationship between theory and clinical practice.

This essay attends to a distinction that requires closer examination and theorization in our discourse on iconic books and other scriptures: the difference between iconic object and cultural icon. How do we conceive of relations between the particular, ritualized iconicities of particular scriptures in particular religious contexts and the cultural iconicities of scriptures in general, such as “the Bible” or “the Quran,” whose visual and material objectivity is highly ambiguous? How if at all are the iconic cultural meanings of the ideas of such books related to the particular iconic textual objects more or less instantiate them? These questions are explored through particular focus on the relationship between the particular iconicities of particular print Bibles, as iconic objects, and the general iconicity of the cultural icon of the Bible.
