Student worksheets are needed to support the learning process that improves student's scientific literacy ability. This study aims to determine the feasibility of student worksheets with science literacy oriented on hydrolysis matter by utilizing surrounding materials as an alternative practicum activity in pandemic era. Research design was used the 4-D model limited to the developing stage with nine students of senior High School as research subjects. The student worksheet's feasibility is viewed from three aspects: validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The student worksheets that developed is feasible if it gets ≥ 61% on the validity and practicality aspects and the N-gain is ≥ 0.3 for the effectiveness aspect. In the validity aspect, the score was 97.20% and 97.00% for the content and construct validity criteria, on very good category. Practicality is viewed from the student response questionnaire results that get an average percentage of 97% and it’s supported by the results of student’s activity observations that get an average percentage of 92.84% on very practical category. The effectiveness aspect in improving science literacy ability indicated by the N-gain score average of 0.88, which is in the high category. Thus the student worksheets developed is feasible for use in the learning process.

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari kajian ini adalah memberikan gambaran kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMA khusunya di kota Kendari. Subjek penelitian terpusat di SMA 1 Kendari dengan total subjek sebanyak 350 orang. Topik pelajaran yang digunakan adalah energi. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpalan data menggunaka tes yang didalamnya meliputi aspek kontek, konten, dan proses. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan statustuf deskriptif . Hasil investigasi diperoleh bahwa Kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik kelas X di SMAN 1 Kendari pada indicator aspek konten dimana indicator pertama yaitu perubahan energy memperoleh nilai presentase 70,83% dengan kategori cukup. Kemudian untuk indicator bahan bakar alternative memperoleh nilai presentase 79,72% dengan kategori baik. Sedangkan untuk indicator molekul penyedia energi memperoleh nilai presentase 33,75% dengan kategori sangat rendah. Kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik kelas X di SMAN 1 Kendari pada indicator aspek proses  dimana pada indicator pertama mengidentifikasi isu ilmiah memperoleh nilai presentase 50,13% dengan rendah. Kemudian untuk indicator menjelaskan fenomena ilmiah memperoleh nilai presentase 34,62% dengan kategori sangat rendah. Sedangkan untuk indicator menggunakan bukti ilmiah memperoleh nilai presentase 52,69% dengan kategori rendah. Sedangkan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik kelas X di SMAN 1 Kendari pada indicator aspek konteks dimana pada indicator pertama aplikasi energi bidang teknologi memperoleh nilai presentase 89,72% dengan kategori sangat baik. Kemudian untuk indicator energi dalam meningkatkan mutu lingkungan memperoleh nilai presentase 29,16% dengan kategori sangat rendah. Untuk indicator dampak energi memperoleh nilai presentase 17,08% dengan kategori sangat rendah. Kata kunci—Literasi sains, Pembelajaran fisika ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to provide an overview of the ability of  student senior high school of scientific literacy  especially in the city of Kendari.The research subjects were concentrated in senior high school 1 Kendari with a total of 350 subjects. The topic of the lesson used was energy. This type of research used descriptive quantitative approach.Data collection techniques use tests which included aspects of context, content, and process. While the data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. The results of the investigation found that the scientific literacy ability of class X students in Senior High School 1 Kendari on the indicator aspect of content where the first indicator was the change in energy obtains a percentage of 70.83% with a sufficient category. Then for alternative fuel indicators got a percentage value of 79.72% with a good category. As for the energy supply molecular indicator, it s a percentage of 33.75% with a very low category. The ability of scientific literacy in class X students in Senior High School 1 Kendari in the process aspect indicator where the first indicator identifies scientific issues obtains a percentage value of 50.13% with low. Then, to explain scientific phenomena acquire indicator value percentage of 34.62% with a very low category. As for the indicator using scientific evidence obtained percentage value of 52.69% with a lower category. While the scientific literacy ability of class X students in Senior High School 1 Kendari on the indicator of context aspects where the first indicator of energy application in the technology field obtained a percentage value of 89.72% with a very good category. Then for the energy indicator in improving environmental quality, the percentage value is 29.16% with a very low category. To obtain the energy impact indicator value percentage of 17.08% with a very low category. Keywords—Science literacy, Physics learning

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMA kelas X di Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 422 siswa dan 17 guru biologi di SMA di Pekanbaru yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif yang menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif dari hasil tes PISA. Data kualitatif adalah faktor eksternal dan internal yang mempengaruhi kemampuan literasi sains dianalisis dari hasil persentase kuesioner siswa dan guru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMA kelas X di Kota Pekanbaru kriteria sangat rendah dengan persentase kemampuan menjawab masalah benar sebesar 49,48%. Kemampuan literasi ilmiah tertinggi dengan persentase jawaban yang benar sebesar 53,87% dalam menjelaskan aspek fenomena ilmiah dan terendah dalam menggunakan bukti ilmiah dengan aspek yang benar dengan persentase jawaban yang benar adalah 46,35%. Faktor internal tidak berkontribusi dalam kemampuan literasi sains siswa, tetapi beberapa indikator faktor eksternal berkontribusi dalam kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMA X di Pekanbaru berada dalam kategori sangat rendah. Kemampuan literasi sains tidak dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor internal seperti motivasi dan minat belajar, tetapi dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor eksternal seperti gaya belajar, latar belakang dan peran orang tua dan ketersediaan fasilitas dan infrastruktur serta proses belajar dari guru. The aim of this study was to know the profil of science literacy ability of high school students of class X in Pekanbaru. This study used descriptive study design. The sample of this study was 422 students and 17 biology teachers at Senior High School in Pekanbaru that selected by purposive sampling technique. The data of this study was quantitative data that showed science literacy ability of students who analyzed descriptively from PISA test results. Qualitative data were external and internal factors that affect the science literacy ability were analyzed from the results of the percentage of student and teacher questionnaires. The result of this study showed that science literacy ability of high school student of class X in Pekanbaru city was very low criterion with percentage of ability answer correct problem 49,48%. The highest scientific literacy ability with the correct answer percentage was 53.87% in explain the scientific phenomenon aspect and the lowest on using scientific evidence with the correct aspect with the correct answer percentage was 46.35%. Internal factors did not contribute in science literacy ability of students, but some indicators of external factors contributed in science literacy ability students. The conclusion of this study showed science literacy ability of high school X students in Pekanbaru was in very low category. The science literacy ability was not influenced by internal factors like motivation and interest in learning, but influenced by external factors such as learning styles, backgrounds and roles of parents and the availability of facilities and infrastructure as well as learning process from teacher.

The goal of this research is gaining description on science literacy improvement of junior high school students regarding the topics of earthquake and flood as an effect of Contextual Based Learning (CBL) implementation during science instruction. Quasi-experiment serves as the method of this study with non-equivalent control group pre-test post-test design. Jigsaw cooperative learning method functions as the control treatment. Research subjects involve 52 students of grade VII in a state junior high school in Bandung Regency, West Java. Those research subjects are divided into two classes namely experiment class and control class. The instrument used to collect relevant data is science literacy test covering aspects of science content, science competence, and attitude towards science. Two independent sample t-test is applied to analyze the comparison of science literacy improvement reached between experiment and control class. The result of statistical calculation for two independent sample t-test N-gain using version 23 SPSS software shows a significant value of 0.00 < α. 0.05 for all aspects. The findings indicate that CBL implementation during science instruction within topics of earthquake and flood is proven to be valid to improve students’ science literacy compared to jigsaw cooperative model.

This study aims to obtain a valid scientific-based physics learning module to improve critical thinking skills in Dynamic Fluid material for high school/MA students. This study uses a research development design and approach or is included in development research. In this study, a scientific-based physics learning module was developed. The development of this module refers to the development of the (4-D model) proposed by Thiagarajan. This model consists of 4 development stages, namely (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). However, this study is only limited to the development stage, namely the validation stage. The validation test is a theoretical validation. Namely, assurance carried out by experts in their fields. The confirmation includes material, media, language, teacher and peer validation. The research results found that the physics-based learning module was scientifically based on improving critical thinking skills in Dynamic Fluid material for high school / MA students, which were developed to meet the validity criteria. In conclusion, the physics-based learning module to improve critical thinking skills in Dynamic Fluid material for high school / MA students is very well developed.

Basic phylogenetics and associated “tree thinking” are often minimized or excluded in formal school curricula. Informal settings provide an opportunity to extend the K–12 school curriculum, introducing learners to new ideas, piquing interest in science, and fostering scientific literacy. Similarly, university researchers participating in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) outreach activities increase awareness of college and career options and highlight interdisciplinary fields of science research and augment the science curriculum. To aid in this effort, we designed a 6-h module in which students utilized 12 flowering plant species to generate morphological and molecular phylogenies using biological techniques and bioinformatics tools. The phylogenetics module was implemented with 83 high school students during a weeklong university STEM immersion program and aimed to increase student understanding of phylogenetics and coevolution of plants and pollinators. Student response reflected positive engagement and learning gains as evidenced through content assessments, program evaluation surveys, and program artifacts. We present the results of the first year of implementation and discuss modifications for future use in our immersion programs as well as in multiple course settings at the high school and undergraduate levels.

The learning process used in the X class of Computer Engineering and Computer Networking Competition classes still use teacher centered method, where teachers are more dominant than the students in the learning process. Thus, students who do not have the motivation to learn or not pay attention to the process of learning instead of opening an online game for the browser or active with social media.This study aims to apply e-learning based on moodle Problem Based Learning method in SMK Negeri 1 Pasuruan. The subjects of this study are students of class X TKJ 1 SMK Negeri 1 Pasuruan, amounting to 36 people. To know the teacher and student response to the implementation of moodle based e-learning mnggunakan problem based learning method obtained by using questionnaire method / questionnaire. Based on the results of the research, the conclusion that can be taken is the application of moodle based e-learning using problem based learning method on the subjects of Computer Assembly class X TKJ 1 has been tested. From the results of questionnaire data analysis given to the teacher respondents obtained an average percentage score of 81.87% and student respondents got an average percentage score of 88.86%. This shows that the application of moodle based e-learning using problem based learning method in SMK Negeri 1 Pasuruan is very effective and in terms of moodle performance using problem based learning method in its application can be quite good.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the cooperative Student Teams Achievement Devision (STAD) learning model on the ability to understand students 'mathematical concepts and students' responses to the STAD cooperative learning model type. This research method is a quasi experimental method. This research was conducted in State 2 Junior High School of Sorkam at the even semester of the 2016/2017 Academic Year. The sample of this study was class VIIIA as the experimental class and VIIIB as the control class. From the research data obtained a regression equation Y = 74,857 + 8.857X (there is a positive effect). The average value of students' understanding of mathematical concepts learned by the STAD cooperative learning model is 83,714, while the conventional learning model is 74,857. The coefficient of determination is 21.6%, meaning that 21.6% of the influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts. The results of the analysis of student responses were obtained (1) by 98.2% stating they were interested and the rest not; (2) amounting to 95.05% stating that there are benefits obtained and the rest not; (3) amounting to 86.78% stated that there were no obstacles experienced during the learning process and the rest stated there were; (4) 94.04% hoped the STAD type cooperative learning model was used in the learning process and the rest did not expect. So, it can be concluded that the student response is very positive because the average percentage of student approval responses to the STAD type cooperative learning model is ≥ 85%.
