The implementation of distance learning is carried out with the help of modern systems of distance education. They allow to teach and to assess the knowledge of interns and doctors quickly and easily, regardless of their location. The aim of the study. A comparative review of the most well-known distance learning platforms, wich are designed to organize the learning process and control learning with the help of Internet technology. System of distance education is a virtual classroom with the possibility to train interns and doctors from different regions of Ukraine at the same time. There are many educational platforms for distance learning nowadays, such as Moodle (Australia), iSpring Learn LMS (Russia), Collaborator (Ukraine), eTutorium LMS (Ukraine), Opigno (Belgium), Atutor (Canada). Moodle is a free platform that allows users to create individual courses. It supports more than 100 languages. iSpring Learn LMS is a simple and user-friendly system that is a paid alternative to Moodle. Collaborator is a platform that works effectively on all modern devices and browsers and is virtually independent of the software of the user's device. eTutorium LMS is a virtual distance learning system that allows to create an online course of any complexity quickly. Opigno is a modern free distance education system based on Drupal (a popular content management system). Atutor, like Moodle, is an open web-based e-learning system. Conclusion. Distance learning systems differ not only functionally, but also in the way they solve problems. The simplicity of use of the platform depends on the degree of its adaptation to the needs of the user and the ability to use all existing features and functions of the system.

Distance Learning is an online-based program that gives students additional practice outside the classroom and helps decrease the amount of time it takes inside the classroom to study for the HSE test or to improve English language skills. МЕТОДИКА ВИКЛАДАННЯ У ВИЩІЙ ШКОЛ І 146 Випуск І (81), 2021 Distance education, as a form of education that enables and promotes development of autonomous life-long learning skill, necessary to keep up with rapid changes and development in today’s society, is a concept definitely worth considering. Teaching a foreign language in a distance education system is very challenging, primarily in terms of overcoming the main gap – lack of direct contact between teachers and learners. This paper focuses on the aspect of teaching materials used for ESL in a distance learning system. To ensure the implementation of basic educational programs with high efficiency, the implementation of appropriate reforms in distance and innovative learning, which meet all modern requirements, is a very important process in the development of education. The development of distance learning courses will be useful to ensure equal access to educational opportunities for all students, especially for workers, or for those who study in parallel in other universities in Ukraine or abroad. Private educational organizations and government agencies around the world support the use and development of distance learning by accumulating pedagogical and methodological experience for further development. Distance learning technologies represent many new opportunities for teaching foreign languages, which allow further expanding the range of teaching methods, just as language laboratories, television and computers have increased the standard classroom. It is important to review these distance-learning options to distinguish their ability levels, as these systems have different limitations on the learning process. For example, one-way systems that use only presentations have been criticized for not providing anything other than a video distribution system that could be reproduced by sending 10 videos to students. The lack of direct bilateral interaction, which characterizes many distance education programs, is contrary to the goals of foreign language teaching. However, using this interaction, distance technologies can maintain the integrity of foreign language teaching. Learning strategies that encourage student-teacher dialogue and student autonomy in distance learning situations should be included in learning.

This article deals with the imperfection of the distance learning system at higher learning institutions; attention is focused on detailed coverage of each shortcoming and the positive advantages of distance education are revealed; the need for oral communication and accreditation of academic disciplines is emphasized; research methods, in particular inductive and deductive are covered, due to these methods the theoretical understanding of the distance learning system was carried out. The most important shortcomings are highlighted: restrictions on direct communication between students and teachers, lack of direct access of students to the teacher, constant self-motivation of students, distance learning isolation, limitation of available special courses to master specialization, the need for constant reliable access to new learning technologies, mandatory accreditation of distance learning educational programs, restrictions on employment, unforeseen additional costs for distance education, restrictions on improving the skills of oral communication of students. The aim of research is to focus on the implementation of the distant learning system at Higher Learning Institutions, underling the distant system of education with its drawbacks. This problem is studied by I.G. Vlasenko. The idea of the imperfection of the distance learning system at higher learning institutions was discovered by V.Yu. Bykov, O.O. Grytsenchuk, Yu.O.Zhuk. The methodological basis of the study is the initial provisions of philosophy on the dialectical relationship, the interdependence of phenomena and processes of socio-pedagogical activities, the role of the individual in the development of its material and spiritual foundations.

Distance education is essentially the basis for the development of educational institutions that provide innovative services, which cannot be obtained elsewhere. It is believed that distance education is a substitute for the traditional as part of simplifying and cheapening the learning process. At the same time, the leading global trends suggest the need for the development of elements of self-education and the expansion of the geographical nature of educational offers. The relevance of the study is that it is necessary to distinguish between the use of distance education methods in the traditional sphere and the sphere of training professionals. The paper presents the concept of the need to integrate elements of distance education in the process of preparing university teachers. The authors believe that teachers in drawing up courses and applying learning technologies use the same techniques as in distance learning. Therefore, the use of distance learning technologies can be shown as the basis for the development of advanced training programs and additional professional education. The authors proposed a study on the need and sufficiency of the use of distance education technologies and the possibilities for their integration into the process of postgraduate education. The practical significance of the work is determined by the fact that the possibilities of self-development of teachers are fully disclosed, not only as subjects of the educational process but also as subjects of training.

The paper analyzes up-to-date distance learning technologies used in European education system for ensuring overall organization of the educational process during the COVID-19 pandemic. Quarantine conditions have become a catalyst for development and practical testing of virtual learning tools and innovative pedagogical technologies, and application of the experience with them is a necessity of today and a strategy for the future. The article is focused on distance learning technologies in higher education. Institutions of England, Germany and France are chosen for the study due to their banner quality of educational service, like the University of Oxford, for example. The basis for successful conduct of all types of classes is employment of universities’ own specialized learning platforms. The learning model remains more similar to the traditional one. The main role continues to belong to communication between qualified teachers and students through various interactive web applications, while digital technologies create space for such interaction, filling it with learning materials. Students get access to all educational services using a single password to the university network. At the same time, some learning materials are available with open access, video lectures and podcasts are popular. Unlike other countries, education in Germany is governed by strict principles of information and data protection. In the contrary, in France many courses have been made available on network, and the education system has instantly adapted to work in virtual mode through the developed system of national distance learning platforms and the massive open online courses. The result of effective distance learning organization in Europe during the pandemic is that the introduction of digital technologies and transition to more flexible learning models become the education strategy at the state level, while pedagogy becomes an area of advanced development of information and communication technologies. Key words: distance education, online learning, information and communication technologies, educational platforms, quarantine, COVID-19.
