The Turkology Departments in countries other than Turkey fulfill two functions. First, they aim to equip their students with sufficient Turkish language proficiency. Second, they offer students a university degree from the Language, History and Literature program. Therefore, regarding the students who are studying in these departments, their competence in Turkish language skills on an academic level is significant. Thus, the aim of this study is to determine the reading skills self-efficacy of Turkology students studying in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Algeria. The study explored if the students’ reading self-accicay changed in line with any of the variables of country origin, gender, and student achievement level. The research data were collected by adopting the “Reading self-efficacy scale of those who learn Turkish as a foreign language” prepared by Güngör and Kan (2020), and the data obtained was analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 package program. According to the results of the study, it was seen that the reading self-efficacy of Bosnia and Herzegovinian students was higher than the Algerians. Additionally, it was found out that as the achievement scores and language proficiency levels of the students increased their reading self-efficacy scores also increased. Next, the self-efficacy scores of the graduate students were found to be higher than those of the undergraduate students. In addition, there was no significant difference between the self-efficacy level of the students participating in the study according to their gender. Finally, based on the findings, suggestions were given to increase the reading self-efficacy of the students at the end of the study.

One of the most unwanted and unavoidable consequences of the economic recession is the high rate of unemployment. Graduate students in Croatia are faced with lack of employment possibilities, and for some of them the self-employment looks like a good solution. In this paper, we investigate attitudes and intentions of graduate students at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture regarding to selfemployment. Most of the surveyed students are in the age between 21 and 25 years, and they have already got some kind of knowledge about entrepreneurship during the formal education. In addition, majority of them have the experience of part-time jobs. The Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) model was used to find out to which extent students’ attitudes and experience influence their expressed self-employment intentions. The results revealed that Zagreb students’ scores are close but somewhat lower than the same scores found in the comparable study from Australia. This goes for the investigated variables: (1) previous entrepreneurial experience (PEE), perceived desirability of selfemployment (PDSE), perceived entrepreneurial self-efficacy (PESE) and self-employment intentions (SEI). It was found that the score on the PEE is significantly related to scores on the PDSE (p=0.000), and PESE (p=0.000), which means that the experience positively influence respondents’ attitudes on self-employment and self-efficacy. There is also a statistically significant difference in the on the SEI with respect to the PDSE (ANOVA F=9.804, p=0.000): respondents that consider self-employment more desirable expressed higher intention to perform it. The PDSE was found as the most influencing model variable in regards to the self-employment intention. The results points out the importance of previous experience, role models and positive attitudes towards self-employment in the process of the entrepreneurship development in young, educated population.

Objectives: Self-efficacy is an important factor in determining the ability of students to execute tasks or skills needed in the implementation of interprofessional learning (IPL). This study aimed to identify levels of self-efficacy with regards to IPL skills among undergraduate healthcare students and to investigate differences according to gender, programme of study and year of study. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted between January and March 2018 at the International Islamic University Malaysia, Kuantan, Malaysia. The Self-Efficacy for Interprofessional Experiential Learning scale was used to evaluate the self-efficacy of 336 students from five faculties including nursing, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and allied health sciences. Results: Significant differences in self-efficacy scores for the interprofessional interaction subscale were identified according to programme of study, with pharmacy students scoring significantly lower than allied health students (mean score: 54.1 ± 10.4 versus 57.4 ± 10.1; P = 0.014). In addition, there was a significant difference in self-efficacy scores for the interprofessional interaction subscale according to year of study, with first-year students scoring significantly lower compared to fifth-year students (mean score: 52.8 ± 10.4 versus 59.9 ± 11.9; P = 0.018). No statistically significant differences in self-efficacy scores were identified with regards to gender or for the interprofessional team evaluation and feedback subscale. Conclusion: These findings may contribute to the effective implementation of IPL education in healthcare faculties. Acknowledging the influence of self-efficacy on the execution of IPL skills is crucial to ensure healthcare students are able to adequately prepare for future interprofessional collaboration in real clinical settings. This study investigated the effect of self-efficacy on self-employment intentions of recent graduates. Using the descriptive survey research design, the study population includes National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members of Ojo Local Government area of Lagos state. A sample of 130 was selected using the purposive sampling technique. The formulated hypotheses were tested using the simple linear regression and the independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a statistically significant influence of self-efficacy on self-employment intention of Corps members of Ojo local government, Lagos state. A significant regression coefficient was found F (1.128)=29.72, p<.05), with R2 of .19. This presupposes that19.0% of the variance in self-employment intentions is as a result of the self-efficacy of recent graduates. Also, a statistically significant difference in the self-employment intentions were found between male and female corps members (tcal(128) = 2.11 is greater than ttab=1.98, p < .05). The study therefore recommended, amongst others, that institutions and the government should educate and devise a means by which they can increase the level of graduates and students’ self-efficacy which in turn will help shape their intention towards shaping career options after graduation. Similarly, effective entrepreneurship education and training for students and graduates to enhance their efficacy in performing specific tasks and roles of an entrepreneur will go a long way in boosting their self-employment intention and also aids them towards post graduate job creation ability rather than job seekers

It is a scientifically and developmentally undeniable reality that the educational activities that guide education and training activities and aim to raise the nation according to the requirements of the age and keep up with the necessary arrangements for this purpose. With the periodic developments in the world, the transformation in the philosophy of education and understanding of education has brought along the application of new approaches and understandings in education. The constructivist approach that started to be applied in education with these developments is also one of the new educational approaches. Constructivist understanding is defined as a process in which students are actively involved in educational activities and new information is built on pre-learning. Constructivism is a contemporary understanding that covers all kinds of practices that the student can actively engage in the learning process, and it emphasizes that education can be successful to the extent that it can serve individual differences. It has been fifteen years since the practices on constructivism started to be implemented in our country. During this period and as a point reached, it is a question of how much this understanding is applied. With this research, it is aimed to examine the self-efficacy beliefs of Turkish language and literature teachers towards applying constructivist approach in terms of various variables.

Abstract Backgroundwe combined anatomy with imaging, transformed the 2D information of various imaging techniques into 3D information, and form the assessment system of real medical imaging cases in order to make up for the deficiencies in the current teaching of the medical imaging technology students. MethodsA total of 460 medical imaging students were selected and randomly divided into two groups. The research group received the teaching of the fusion of the original CT and MR data 3D model and the original image combined with 3D anatomical image. Statistical analysis Academic self-efficacy scale and Self-directed learning ability scale was adopted by self-directed learning evaluation scale between two groups.ResultsCompare the theoretical scores and case analysis scores of the two groups. The scores of the study and control groups were significantly higher than those of the control group.Before the experiment, no significant difference was detected in the self-efficacy of learning ability and learning behavior between the two groups , while after the experiment, these differences between the two groups were statistically significan. Moreover, the learning ability self-efficacy and learning behavior of the two groups of students after the experiment was significantly higher than that before the experiment. The self-efficacy of the learning behavior of the control group was higher after the experiment than that before the experiment, albeit the difference was not statistically significant . ConclusionsThe modern, information-based and humanized experimental teaching mode will be constantly improved under the support of PACS system in order to optimize the medical imaging teaching activities for the development of modern medical education.

The inclusion of students with special needs in general education classes has become a goal that all educational systems worldwide strive to achieve it. The inclusion of special needs has many benefits, whether for special needs students or regular students. The current study aims to reveal the differences in the self-efficacy among general education teachers in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt. It aims also to reveal the sources of this self-efficacy in both countries. The core study sample consisted of (96) Saudi teachers and (88) Egyptian teachers. The researcher used the teachers 'self-efficacy scale and the teachers' self-efficacy sources scale. The results of the study indicated that there is a significant difference between the average scores of the total self-efficacy and its sub-dimensions between the Saudi and Egyptian sample for the outperform of The Egyptian teachers. It indicated that the source of the mastery experience was a significant predictive of the self-efficacy of the Saudi teachers, and it explained 53% of the variation in self-efficacy. It also indicated that the mastery experience was a significant predictive of the self-efficacy of the Egyptian teachers, and it explained 13% of the variance in self-efficacy.

The aim of this study was to examine Turkish Language teachers’ self-efficacy perceptions of teaching thinking skills in terms of the variables of age, professional experience, educational status, and taking course on thinking skills. The screening model was used in the study. The current pandemic process was taken into account and the convenience sampling method was used while determining the study group. Turkish Language teachers forming the study group consisted of 109 females and 68 males. “Teachers’ Self-efficacy towards teaching thinking scale” was used as the data collection tool. The data of the study were analyzed using the statistical package program. In conclusion, no significant difference was found between the Turkish Language teachers’ self-efficacy perceptions of teaching thinking skills and gender. It was concluded that Turkish Language teachers’ self-efficacy perceptions of teaching thinking skills differed according to professional experience. It was concluded that there was no significant difference between Turkish Language teachers’ self-efficacy perceptions of teaching thinking skills and their educational status. It was concluded that there was a significant difference between Turkish Language teachers’ self-efficacy perceptions of teaching thinking skills and taking course on thinking skills.

In this study, instructors’ computer self-efficacy perceptions are examined in terms of variables such as age, gender, academic status, teaching experience, computer literacy and computer skills. The study is a descriptive one in which relational scanning method has been utilized. The study has been carried out within the framework of the data obtained from 172 police instructors who work in 28 Police Vocational Schools of Higher Education across the country. The data were collected by using a survey and “The Computer Self-efficacy Perception Scale”. A significant difference has been found between the self-efficacy perceptions of the instructors and their computer skills and computer training that they received. In addition to this, it has been seen that there was not any significant difference between self-efficacy perceptions of instructors and age, gender, position status, teaching experience and computer literacy. This is the first study carried out for determining the self-efficacy perceptions of police instructors. Cloud-based Learning Systems (CBLS) refers to the systems that provide electronic or online content to enable the learning process by offering tools and functionalities through platform available in Cloud. This research seeks to examine the effectiveness of CBLS in improving programming skills among undergraduate students by measuring students’ performance in solving programming problems. This is because there is no empirical evidence on the effectiveness of CBLS when compared with the traditional method of learning programming among student beginners. Traditionally, teaching programming courses has been performed in a classroom setting and it can be very challenging for an instructor to go beyond covering the language’s syntax such as program design skills and problem-solving skills due to the wide variety of students’ background in such bounded class duration. In this study, three single-subject experiments were conducted using 40 undergraduate students enrolled in Web Programming course. The experiments compared the time students spent to solve programming tasks by using traditional learning method and CBLS. A survey to measure students’ self-efficacy was administered before and after the experiments. The findings of this study showed that there is a statistically significant difference in learning programming using CBLS when compared with traditional method. Our results showed that students solve programming problems in less time when using CBLS. The study also found out that CBLS is effective for improving students’ self-efficacy.

Objetivo: analisar as crenças de autoeficácia dos formandos de Educação Física Bacharelado em relação ao exercício profissional. Métodos: adotou-se a metodologia quantitativa do tipo descritiva e inferencial. Participaram da amostra 44 acadêmicos de Educação Física Bacharelado regulamente matriculados no último ano do curso de uma instituição de ensino superior privada de Maringá (PR). Para coleta de dados foi utilizado a Escala de Autoeficácia na Formação Superior e um questionário sociodemográfico. Para verificar o nível de associação entre autoeficácia geral e variável sociodemográfica utilizou-se o teste de qui-quadrado, sendo que, para os demais dados foi utilizado a estatística descritiva. Foi adotado o nível de significância de p≤0,05. Resultados: A maioria dos acadêmicos é do sexo masculino (52,3%), do período matutino (59,1%) e estão engajados no estágio remunerado (77,3%) em um período específico do dia (43,2%). Quanto a complementação da formação em ações de pesquisa e extensão nota-se pouca participação dos acadêmicos, apenas 34,1% apontam ter participado de projeto de extensão e 47,7% relatam buscar cursos de atualização frequentemente ou sempre. Sobre os níveis de autoeficácia, nota-se que o maior índice está na regulação de formação profissional (md= 8,43) e o menor índice (md= 7,21) nas ações proativas, demonstrando que os acadêmicos do último ano apresentam dificuldade em aproveitar ou promover oportunidades de formação. Por fim, ao analisar o nível de associação entre a autoeficácia geral dos acadêmicos e as variáveis sócio demográficas investigadas, foi encontrada diferença significativa apenas em relação ao sexo (p≤ 0,05), demonstrando que as mulheres têm maior autoeficácia que os homens. Conclusão: Os acadêmicos apresentaram bons índices de autoeficácia, no entanto carecem de ações que fortaleçam posturas proativas frente às demandas da formação e profissão.ABSTRACT. Self-efficacy of bachelor’s physical education trainers in relation to the professional exercise. Objective: to analyze the beliefs of self-efficacy in initial training and the expectations of graduates of Physical Education Bachelor in relation to the professional exercise. Methods: the quantitative methodology of the descriptive and inferential type was adopted. The sample was composed of 44 undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Physical Education course enrolled in the last year of a private higher education institution in Maringá (PR). Data were collected using the Self-efficacy Scale in Higher Education and a sociodemographic questionnaire. To verify the level of association between general self-efficacy and socio-demographic variables, the chi-square test was used, and descriptive statistics were used for the other data. The level of significance of p≤0.05 was adopted. Results: the majority of the students are males (52.3%), of the morning (59.1%) and are engaged in paid work (77.3%) in a specific period of the day (43.2% %). When completing training in research and extension actions, there is little academic participation in these actions, with only 34.1% reporting having participated in an extension project, and only 47.7% reported seeking refresher courses frequently or ever. Regarding the levels of self-efficacy, it is observed that the highest index is in the regulation of professional training (md=8.43) and the lowest index (md=7.21) in proactive actions, showing that last year’s academics have difficulty take advantage of or promote training opportunities. Finally, when analyzing the level of association between the general self-efficacy of the students and the socio-demographic variable, a significant difference was found only in the comparison by sex (p≤0.05), demonstrating that women are more self-efficacious than men. Conclusion:  In general, the students presented good self-efficacy indexes, however, they lack actions that strengthen proactive positions in relation to the demands of the training and profession.
