Throughout the years, technologies have developed varied techniques for animators to create films. One of the oldest and interesting techniques of animating is Rotoscope by tracing every single frame from live action footages and enhancing it with animator’s style. In terms of anthropomorphism, it creates an uncanny realistic effect because it mimics the reality of the structure, the proportion and the movement. Due to its easy process in animating, there are some critiques and debates about how far rotoscoping can be considered as the “true” animation. This research would cover the identity of rotoscoping, professionals and animator’s perspective as well as the aesthetic of this technique. Keywords: rotoscope, realism, true animation, perspective and aesthetic

This text highlights the aesthetic explorations of Bulgarian cinematographers from the 1980s, specifically those aimed at people of art. The article offers, first, a brief overview of films that examine the symbolic potential of the artist, which defines the consideration of an established and meaningful tendency in the development of Bulgarian cinema. The article focuses then on the live-action film Illusion (1980, directed by Lyudmil Staykov and written by Konstantin Pavlov) and examines the figure of the artist in the piece. The presented interpretation supports the view of the film as a morally valuable expression of modern art.

Purpose of the article. To study the process of the emergence of stage truth in the live-action puppet art. To define the peculiarity of creating stage truth by the expressive means of the puppet theatre. To analyze the theoretical works by Gordon Craig concerning the aesthetic concept of "über-marionette". To designate the ways of realization of stage truth in puppet theatre with the help of Gordon Craig`s "über-marionette" concept. Methodology of the research consists in the application of methods of system analysis, analogy, comparison, and opposition to analyze the "über-marionette" concept in comparative description with the expressive means and aesthetic principles of the live-action puppet art. The scientific novelty of the article is in the view on the nature of stage truth, in considering Gordon Craig`s "über-marionette" concept in the context of psychophysical image creation in puppet theatre and in searching for the ways to realize stage truth of puppet theatre in the context of new puppeteer`s artistic techniques. Conclusions. A live-action puppet, regardless of its system, genre restrictions, and movement characteristics, obeys its own conventional truth. The Puppeteer has Gordon Craig's stage truth. Gordon Craig in his theory of the "über-marionette" substantiated a new kind of stage truth needed by the puppeteer. Thanks to it the puppeteer can transform in his own way and even identify himself with the doll image. However, Craig did not elaborate on the actor's practice of achieving such stage truth. Guided by his theoretical works, one can only make an assumption about the practical implementation of the "über-marionette" theory in the stage practice of the live-action puppet art.

This article aims to discuss the composition of narratology in the award-winning Brazilian short film (12 minutes and 45 secunds) Naiá and the Moon (2010) under the direction of Leandro Tadashi. This work is linked to interinstitutional research Art, psychoanalysis and education: aesthetic procedures in cinema and the changes of childhood CEPAE / UFG / PUCGO / UEG / UAB-UNB / UEMS, which seeks to highlight the potentialities of the relations between cinema and education. The proposed film analysis will reveal the narrative functioning of the intersection of two indigenous legends that the short film contains, since it projects for the viewer a story within the story, the passionate narration of the legend of the appearance of the stars (relationship between Jaci and the Indians of tribe) with the ultimate construction of the legend of Vitória-Régia and its origin. Still, the place of childhood, the dreamlike quality of the narrative and the components of the diegetic world will be treated: characters - in this case, the central narrator and the protagonist child, Naiá, gain centrality; the spaces; temporality; the voice of the film; the spectator, narrator and narrative relationship based on the aesthetic devices used - photography, chosen soundtrack, the mix between live-action and animation - that make the film so touching and loaded with a symbolic-cultural charge. Gardies (2008) e Tarkovski (1998) will be fundamental references to support the discussion, alongside authors such as Benjamim (1994) and Adorno (2008).

The article discusses the prospects of role-playing games in the educational process to increase students’ motivation and involvement, as well as the possibility of modern information technologies (primarily social networks) for constructing innovative forms of such games. The author’s format of the live-action role-playing game is presented. It was developed and tested at the Saratov State University. It involves the integration of numerous educational tasks into a single plot, within which each participant plays a role and communicates with other participants to complete tasks. The main interaction, plot development and group activities occur in dialogs, conversations and groups of social networks. This approach has shown its viability in teaching legal disciplines, and also has prospects for use in IT education.

A healthy and beautiful smile can affect appearance and confidence. One of the aesthetic problems in dentistry that is often complained of by patients is excessive gingival display (gummy smile). The excessive gingival display can be caused by several factors, one of which is altered passive eruption (APE). One of the treatments to correct gummy smile related to APE is crown lengthening. Crown lengthening can be with bone reduction (gingivectomy with bone reduction) or without bone reduction (gingivectomy). Crown Lengthening with bone reduction is a surgical procedure that aims to maintain the dentogingival complex and to improve smile aesthetics. The purpose of this case report is to determine the crown lengthening with bone reduction (gingivectomy with bone reduction) procedure as a gummy smile treatment related to APE .A23-year-old female patient, came to Dental Hospital of Universitas Airlangga with complaints of her upper gum which not in the same length and the teeth looked short, she considered her smile was less aesthetic. After conducting analyses relating to aesthetics and periodontal tissue, crown lengthening with bone reduction was chosen for this patient treatment. The treatment results are quite good, visible gingival margins that matched the gingival zenith and improved patient's smile profile. APE as the etiology of patient's gummy smile can be corrected. There are no post-surgical complications such as excessive pain and infection. A proper diagnosis, treatment plan, and good techniques can produce a harmonious smile on the patient.
