Introduction: The prevention of occupational accidents in the sphere of occupational health and safety is an important issue in the Italian work setting; health workers, and especially nurses, are continually exposed to the risk of work-related accidents, which can affect the quality of care provided. Aim: The aim of this review is to investigate the nurse's perceived level of preparedness with regard to occupational safety. Methods: A narrative review of the literature was conducted using some of the main databases such as PubMed, CINAHL and Cochrane. Results: The studies analysed show that Italian nurses have little knowledge about occupational health and safety legislation. Conclusions: Establishing specific postgraduate training events and identifying specific legislation for healthcare personnel could represent essential steps towards implementing this specific knowledge. Pregnant workers have more health risks for health problems than other workers. There are different potential hazards in different workplaces. Occupational Health and Safety Programs need to be implemented for pregnant workers in order to avoid work related diseases in various workplaces. This study aims to determine the the implementation of occupational health and safety for pregnant workers in various workplaces. This study uses a qualitative method by conducting FGD (Focus Group Discussion) with pregnant women workers from various workplaces and in-depth interviews with occupational health and safety experts. Occupational health and safety programs have been implemented for pregnant workers such as the right to maternity leave, working hours arrangements, health insurance, and special protection for pregnant workers. However, there are some workplaces that still do not provide special protection for pregnant workers. Every workplace should pay more attention to the health and safety of pregnant workers as an effort to prevent occupational accidents and work related diseases

Cooking is an activity that is repeatedly every day. Cooking by applying occupational health and safety will ease and simplify the process, the time and energy needed will also be more efficient. The purpose of this research is to raise public awareness of the importance of implementing occupational health and safety, specifically ergonomics and physiology in all activities, especially when cooking. The method that I used in this research is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through direct case studies in "Warmindo" around UNS. The result of this research is to inform the whole community about the importance of implementing occupational health and safety, specifically ergonomics and physiology. This research effort, so that the public knows and aware of the importance of implementing occupational health and safety, because if people apply occupational health and safety in their activities it will reduce the number of work accidents in Indonesia and the community will also save energy and time. this research can introduce the public to work that is safe, healthy, and avoid work-related diseases in accordance with existing standards in occupational safety and health regulations. If the community apply it to their lives so that it can have an impact by reducing the level of work accidents or injuries due to improper work positions.

Abstract   In today's businesses, business ethics, ethical values and approach to work has become a priority in terms of "Occupational Health and Safety". Besides, it is a fact that organizing a company according to ergonomics and occupational health and safety, increase the work efficiency, reduce work-related accidents and worker-employer relations in a positive way. This study is based on a survey conducted at the Mugla among the employees in marble industry. The survey aims to measure the perception of Occupational Security and Health. Data obtained was analyzed with programme. Consequently, the findings Show that the majority of the students believe that occupational health and safety rules are important and they accept them.   Keywords: Marble industry, Perception of employees, Occupational safety factor.

Hospital is a health service unit for community, has potential hazards such caused by physical, chemical, biological and ergonomic and psychosocial factor thus a hospital is demanded to conduct integrated OHS so then Occupational Disease and Occupational Accidents risk can be avoided. Based on preliminary survey in Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Regional General Hospital of Mojokerto in last a year had occurred 1 (one) occupational accident in Emergency Department that was accidentally punctured by patient’s needle stick. The aim of this study is to determine the implementation of occupational health and safety service in Emergency Department.This study used descriptive research type with the number of sample was 18 Emergency nurses. The data collection was done by interview and observation.The results of study showed the implementation of occupational health was 30% had met the requirements, enough to meet the requirements was 40% on variables of regular medical check up, ill employees medication and treatment, occupational environment also ergonomic and registration report evaluation to hospital Director. Less to meet the requirements was 30% on variables of pre working medical check up, particular medical check up and surveillance activity. While in occupational safety service was 80% had met the requirements, enough to meet the requirements was 10% on and regostration report evaluation to hospital Director variable and 10% less met the requirements on the proper of hospital occupational equipments variable.The conclusion of occupational health service implementation was 30% had met the requirements while occupational safety service implementation was 80% had met the requirements. It is advised to improve the implementation of occupational health and occupational safety service such as reporting and registration of occupational health and accidents. Keywords      : Occupational Health and Safety Service

Occupational Health and Safety (K3) is a system of programs designed for both workers and employers in an effort to prevent the occurrence of occupational accidents and diseases caused by working relations in the work environment by identifying the things that potentially cause workplace accidents and anticipatory action in the event of such a thing. The resulting impact of this workplace accidents can be bad, such as the loss of lives, disability, damage to production, which is ultimately detrimental to all parties. In Indonesia, every company has to follow the program of the Occupational Health and Safety (K3), but can be seen in workplace accidents are still common. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of occupational safety and health (K3) on employee performance in PT. Pertamina (Persero) Medan. Digunakana research method is simple linear regression. The estimation deskriptif showed that is company an very important for health and safety (K3) on employee company and the health and safety (K3) positif and significant effect on employee performance in PT. Pertamina (Persero) Medan.

The migration of people to other countries in search of employment is a common phenomenon that has occurred throughout history. While migration is a positive and empowering experience, migrant workers can be vulnerable to human rights violations. In this context, international laws have provided the international legal framework on the rights of migrant workers. Among the fundamental rights of migrant workers is the right to occupational health and safety within which a worker is expected to perform his job. This paper aims to examine the right of migrant workers to occupational health and safety in light of international standards and Malaysian laws. It adopts qualitative research of doctrinal and comparative nature. It will examine the adequacy of current laws in recognizing and protecting the rights of migrant workers to occupational safety and health with reference to the standards set by the international instruments. The paper also attempts to identify factors that contributed to the high number of occupational accidents. The paper concludes that the current Malaysian laws provide a specific legal framework that aims to protect the right of migrant workers to occupational health and safety. However, non-compliance with law requirements and lack of enforcement has contributed to the high number of occupational accidents. In conjunction with that, the paper provides recommendations towards improving the Malaysian legal framework on occupational health and safety.

Recent trends in the organization of work have increased the risk of occupational safety and health (OSH) in Kenyan industries through exposure to hazardous substances, work related accidents and increased stress-related illnesses. According to International lab our organization (ILO) everyone is entitled to the right to safe and healthy working conditions and therefore the corpus of law in Kenya dealing with occupational safety and health should be embedded in the international OSH legal instruments. Specifically the occupational health and safety Act (2007) is expected to provide for safety, health and welfare of workers and all persons lawfully present at workplaces. The purpose of this study therefore was to investigate legal framework as a determinant of implementation of occupational health and safety programmes in the manufacturing sector in Kenya. It focused on six legal areas predicted as affecting implementation of OSH. These factors were national OSH policy, OSHA (occupational safety and health Act) familiarity with OSHA, government OSH inspections and audits, ease of implementation of OSHA, Government support in the implementation of OSH and OSHA implement ability. The study adopted descriptive cross-sectional survey design but however intended to gather both qualitative and quantitative data. A self administered questionnaire was used to collect data from 257 OSH officers drawn randomly from 735 manufacturing industries registered by Kenya manufacturers association. 252 questionnaires were received back and analyzed with the help of SSPS window version 21. Both correlation and regression analysis were conducted and the results showed that there was a positive significant relationship between legal framework and implementation of OSH programmes.

ABSTRACT Background: Hospital occupational health and safety is all activities to ensure and protect the safety and health of hospital human resources, patients, patient companions, visitors, and the hospital environment through efforts to prevent occupational accident and occupational disease in the hospital. It is necessary to support resources, organization, and policies in the implementation of occupational safety and health in hospitals in order to create a safe, secure and comfortable hospital condition. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of occupational safety and health at Hospital X Semarang, Central Java. Subjects and Method: This was a qualitative study conducted at Hospital X Semarang, Central Java. A total of 6 informants consisting of the main informants (members of the hospital occupational health and safety team) and triangulation informants (head of the hospital occupational health and safety team) were enrolled in this study. The data were obtained from in-depth interview method. The data were analyzed descriptively. Results: The hospital already had and provided the special budget needed in the field of hospital occupational health and safety, such as 1) Activity and provision of hospital occupational health and safety infrastructure; 2) Human Resources (HR) and assigns personnel who have clear responsibilities, authorities, and obligations in handling hospital occupational health and safety; 3) Hospital occupational health and safety official team but with double work burden; and 4) Policies were owned and compiled in written form, dated, and endorsed by the main director as well as commitment from the top leadership. Conclusion: The implementation of occupational safety and health in hospital X is quite good. Meanwhile, there is still a double work burden and have no independent hospital occupational health and safety team. The value, care, and customs of workers are essential in terms of occupational health and safety. The abuse of alcohol is widely regarded as a serious threat to the lives, health, and safety of employees. The aim of the research was to identify the main problems that are associated with alcohol abuse and consumption at work among employees in the construction industry, with particular emphasis on workstations where work is carried out on construction scaffoldings. Data for the analysis were obtained from two different sources. The first one was post-accident documentation on occupational accidents. The second one was surveys collected during the research project. This study confirmed that excessive and disproportionate alcohol consumption can be the cause of an accident, and consequently death at workplaces with scaffolding. Of 219 accident reports, 17.4% indicated alcohol as a contributing factor. Analysis of accident documentations shows that in cases where alcohol was indicated as a contributing factor in an accident, the alcohol was consumed during the workday. The results obtained on the basis of the conducted research were able to constitute a justification for the directions of preventive actions carried out in order to reduce the number of occupational accidents in the construction industry caused by alcohol.
