Certain relationships among hegemony, international openness, capitalism, and state formation are stipulated by Polanyi, Kindleberger, Gilpin, Krasner, and Wallerstein. Here they are put to question through an examination of the rise and fall of the Yoruba state in the 18th and 19th centuries. In contrast to what widely held theories would predict, the Yoruba state was strengthened through greater exposure to international commerce. Second, from the point of view of African traders, the rise of British hegemony meant a decline in freedom to trade. Third, although the remnants of the Yoruba state were on the periphery of the world economy, its traders were able to penetrate international markets, even during periods of international economic crisis, with considerable success. In light of these findings, some suggestions are made for the reformulation of conventional theories;

With the emergence of globalization, the need for economic integration has been realized by the international communities and lately by the Less Developed Countries (LDCs). Most of the countries both developed and less developed, have reoriented their development strategies to improve their growth performance by integrating their economies with the world economy. In this process, India has experienced some significant changes and the country is identified as one of the fastest growing economies in the world. In this direction, India’s Look East Policy is worth mentioning. Under this policy, India seeks economic cooperation with the ASEAN  and its neighbouring countries through North-Eastern Region (NER) of the country

At the present stage the world economy is characterized by the process of increasing the interdependence of national economies, which is due to the stagnation of commodity markets, economic crises around the world and the presence of negative financial trends. The process of increasing the interdependence of national economies is based, among other things, on national selfishness, which is manifested more and more often. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a temporary break in financial and economic ties and relations, which in turn leads to significant changes in both the Russian and global economy as a whole. At present, the question of the possible duration of the pandemic and the quarantine measures imposed because of it remains open, but it is obvious that the impact is not just an interruption of the activities of the national economy or an increase in the burden on budgets due to the increase in additional costs. We are talking about the formation of a new type of economy.

Attempting to plumb the complexity and depth of the issue of citizenship and values goes well beyond the interface between Europe and Africa. On one hand, in a series of communications at the beginning of the 21st century, UNESCO asked itself, “Where are the values?” On the other hand, the “preferential links” between Europe and Africa are henceforth under the jurisdiction of the World Trade Organization. From this point of view, questioning the political and civic status of men and women in the institutional framework and partnership of Eurafrica, means to ask oneself what destiny is reserved, by the current world economy, to the fact of being citizen. Given the disequilibrium that characterizes Eurafrica, it is only with the active engagement of citizens who vote and participate in a critical civil society that a new partnership favorable to Africans could be actualized.

The review provides up-to-date data on the medico-social significance and scientific aspects of traumatic brain injury (TBI), in particular, the processes of neuroinflammation and the development of autoimmune reactions. According to the results of the analysis of open literature (PumMed database), it is established that among persons of working age, TBI holds the first place in the mortality structure, which is 2-3 times higher in Ukraine than similar indicators of economically developed countries. Each year, TBI costs the world economy about $ 400 billion, which is 0.5% of the gross world product. From a scientific point of view, TBI can be regarded as a continuous, possibly lifelong, process that affects multiple organ systems and can be a cause of traumatic disease. The main pathogenetic mechanisms of TBI that successively change each other (necrosis, axonal damage, gliosis/microgliosis, apoptosis, demyelinization and neuroregeneration) are highlighted.

The globalization of the world economy causes the active development of foreign economic activity. In these conditions, the key factor in the development of economic entities is their ability to integrate into global economic ties. The new conditions require the training of qualitatively different specialists capable of ensuring the entry of economic entities into the markets of foreign states. In the context of the integration of the Russian economy with the economy of a number of countries within the Eurasian Economic Union, the need for specialists who know the market of the EAEU countries is significantly increasing. The training of such personnel is possible only within the framework of the network interaction of universities of the EAEU countries implementing part of the educational program. At the same time, it is important to note that such an approach to the implementation of educational programs becomes a factor in the development of education exports. The article presents the experience of Altai State University in the implementation of such interaction with a foreign university.
