The digitalization of economic relations determines the particular importance of personnel training on a qualitatively new technological basis, which is inextricably linked with the study of the problem of ecosystem designing for the development of universities in a digital environment. The foundations of the systems theory, the theory of education economics, the methods of system analysis, factor analysis, and economic and mathematical modeling were used for studying the problem of ecosystem development for universities. The conducted studies made it possible to obtain the following main research results: the ecosystem principles for organizing the provision of higher education services, representing the integrity of the university system based on network interactions of a set of various participants, as well as objects, projects, processes, and environments, were proposed. An approach to designing a strategy for the development of universities, based on the scenario forecasting of the receptivity of digital economy competencies by students, teachers, and partners of universities in the medium term, is proposed based on the organigram for the implementation of the project of matrix digital transformation of the adhocratic university hierarchy. The conclusions stating that the design of the ecosystem of the development of universities should be aimed at the implementation of the social mission of the university in the region and the transformation of the ecosystem of the region as a whole are formulated. As prospects for further research, the study of the prerequisites for generating the effects of designing the development of a university ecosystem based on the network platform interaction of the economic agents of the region/territory, as well as the implementation of digital transformation projects of the university management system, is considered.

The paradigm shift in university libraries where research support servcies are increasingly relevant is analyze. This situation results from the research role in assessing the quality and excellence of universities, as reflected in the various documents and rankings. The various research support servcies are described both in the university and in the academic library, with special emphasis on the management of digital identity. For this purpose, the concepts of reputation and identity, within and outside the digital environment, are defined, their main resources are analyzed and a brief overview is given on the management of the digital identity of the research community through data from three studies. We define possible scenarios in which the university library can work in support of a better management of the reputation and digital identity of researchers, considering that this will have an impact on those of the university itself. Accessible in https://www.sopcom.pt/

The University Library and Learning Service (ULLS) already measure their performance by the usual parameters - recording various usage and performance indices, including a user satisfaction survey. By endeavouring to measure 'impact' however, this project offered ULLS a different opportunity - to gain a deeper understanding of the complex interaction between library users and library services and resources.

The university libraries are analyzed as an integrated system of elements with various characteristics. Within any system, any structural changes will inevitably impact its every component. The authors describe the mechanism for leading query and corresponding services. They also define the term “dynamic university library” which is the traditional or networked user information services with any media based on the leading query services. The dynamic library services are classified by the library specialization (library, research and academic services) and by information delivery method (traditional, online traditional and the leading query services). The core collection structure comprises three equally-weighted elements: the basic, intermediary, and intellectual one. The scheme of useable library operation is revealed. Along with sources ordered, the libraries can offer a series of additional services: reviews, author’s bibliography, citation data, subject bibliographies, etc. Based on the suggested classification, the core structure and operation scheme, the model of a dynamic university library is designed.

Abstract: This paper presents the results of a documentary search about factors that motivate the use of university library. Literature about these factors was not found, either not standards or indicators used to measure those factors’ impact. On the other side, evidence was found about the decrease in library attendance, reported by the university libraries themselves; however, no evidence about the causes of this phenomenon was found. In sucha context, this article presents a research project that will be applied in 3 universities at Northeast Mexico, in which a methodology to identify and analyze motivation in students to use the university library is proposed.
