The purpose of this study was to describe the ethics and competence of counselors as professionals in providing guidance and counseling services. The research method used is a systematic literature study. This systematic literature review contains explanations and descriptions of theories, findings and research materials obtained from databases of national and international journal providers through the Google Scholar platform, and then analyzed descriptively. The result of this research is that ethics and competencies must be possessed by a counselor as the basis for the profession he adheres to. Counselor education is one way to develop competencies for prospective counselors. The competence of the counselor as an agent for counseling guidance services is stated in government regulation No. 19 of 2005 article 28 paragraph 3, namely: competence as a service agent at the level of primary and secondary education and early childhood education which includes pedagogic competence, personality, professional and social competence. Professional counselors must have a strong determination to be able to help others and have a positive nature to be able to view the counselee as a human being who has different values, religious teachings, cultures and backgrounds.

The complexity of the problems faced by students today, of course, is followed by the endurance of the individual both physically and psychologically. Therefore, a counselor should have sufficient insight, knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes in carrying out guidance and counseling services for all types of diversity in order to create a professional counselor. Therefore, this paper tries to identify the ethical concepts and attitudes of professional counselors in guidance and counseling so that later professional counselors are formed in terms of ethics, attitudes, and personal qualities of the counselors. This writing uses a literature study approach and content analysis techniques. The findings in this paper are (1) the counselor's professional ethics are the rules of behavior that become a reference for the counselor in carrying out his duties or responsibilities in providing guidance and counseling services to the counselee; (2) the counselor's professional attitude includes being responsible, caring about professional identity and professional development, having an awareness of commitment, being skilled at using special techniques developed on the basis of broad insights and scientific principles, understanding and managing personal and professional strengths and limitations. and maintaining objectivity and maintaining the counselee's problems, and (3) the efforts made by the counselor in developing his professional attitude and ethics, namely by developing attitudes during pre-service education and developing attitudes during his tenure

<p>Pendampingan dan Konseling kedukaan berbasis budaya lokal yang disebut <em>Mima Para Tarpolarda </em>memberikan gambaran tentang pendampingan dan konseling yang kontekstual sesuai dengan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal bangsa Indonesia. Penggunaan budaya sebagai basis tindakan konseling menegaskan bahwa pendampingan dan konseling bukan hanya dilakukan oleh individu atau konselor professional yang terlatih tetapi dapat dilakukan oleh seluruh masyarakat dalam kebudayaan tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis <em>Mima Para Tarpolarda </em>sebagai bentuk  pendampingan dan konseling kedukaan berbasis budaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dan data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dan study pustaka. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis mengalir atau terjalin berupa pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah pertama, <em>Mima Para Tarpolarda </em>dapat dijadikan sebagai pendampingan dan konseling kedukaan karena didalamnya terdapat nilai-nilai konseling menyangkut pemberian nasihat, bimbingan dan pertolongan oleh seluruh masyarakat kepada orang berduka. Tindakan yang dilakukan adalah bentuk reaksi kepedulian masyarakat untuk merasakan apa yang dialami oleh saudaranya akibat kematiaan anggota keluarga. Kedua, pendampingan dan konseling kedukaan yang didasarkan pada nilai kearifan lokal <em>Mima Para Tarpolarda </em>memberikan penyembuhan secara holistik dalam kehidupan orang berduka karena seluruh masyarakat memiliki sikap empati dan solidaritas.</p><p><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p><p><strong><em></em></strong><em>Local culture-based grief guidance and counseling called Mima Para Tarpolarda provides an overview of contextual guidance and counseling in accordance with the values of Indonesian local wisdom. The use of culture as a basis for counseling actions confirms that counseling and counseling is not only done by individuals or professional counselors who are trained but can be done by all people in a particular culture. The purpose of this study is to examine Mima Para Tarpolarda as a form of cultural-based grief guidance and counseling. The research method used is qualitative research methods and data obtained through observation, interviews and literature study. Analysis of the data used is a flowing or intertwined analysis in the form of collecting data processing data, and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from this study are first, Mima Para Tarpolarda can be used as guidance and grief counseling because in it there are counseling values regarding the provision of advice, guidance and assistance by the whole community to the bereaved. The action taken is a form of public awareness reaction to feel what is experienced by his brother due to the death of family members. Second, guidance and grief counseling based on the local wisdom values of Mima Para Tarpolarda provide holistic healing in the lives of the bereaved because the whole community has an attitude of empathy and solidarity.</em></p>

The research aims to determine the role of counselors in increasing students' academic achievement motivation through guidance and counseling services. The problem in this study is that students have low achievement motivation. Problems can be prevented by the role of the counselor through guidance and counseling services in schools. The research method used is literature study. The literature study was carried out because the research was in the co-19 pandemic period and this research had to be resolved. Data analysis uses analytical methods through books and articles. The results showed that the role of counselors is very important in increasing students' academic achievement motivation through guidance and counseling services, such as informative services, individual counseling services, guidance in class and outside the classroom, and group guidance.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengembangkan strategi yang tepat dalam memberikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah inklusi dan (2) penguatan kesadaran disabilitas bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam memberikan layanan di sekolah inklusi. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kajian pustaka, kajian teori, atau studi literatur terkait dengan strategi layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah inklusi serta penguatan pemahaman guru bimbingan dan konseling tentang kesadaran disabilitas di sekolah inklusi. Studi dilakukan dengan mencari sumber literatur yang relevan kemudian dibandingkan dengan literatur lain yang kemudian ditarik menjadi sebuah kesimpulan atau pemahaman terkait dengan tema yang ditulis. The study was conducted by finding relevant sources of literature and then compared with other literature which was then drawn into a conclusion or understanding related to the theme written. The expected results in writing this article are (1) guidance and counseling service strategies that are deemed appropriate for implementation in inclusive schools and (2) the need to strengthen disability awareness for guidance and counseling teachers in inclusive schools.Keywords: strategy, service, guidance and counseling, disability awareness

The demand for a better education system will result in not only a better academic achievement but also students with better character. Particularly in this digital era, it is very important to integrate technology in the process of guidance and counseling services at schools. This article aims to provide a critical review of implementation and application of classical guidance with format flipped classroom in coping with the advance of technology as an effort that can be made by school counselors in order to make innovation in guidance and counseling service at schools. This research method is a literature study. This study collected and analyzed relevant journals related to the use of flipped classroom. Class guidance with flipped classroom format has the potential to help school counselors to manage classical guidance and stimulate students to be active, communicative, and contributive to the process of guidance so that the topic presented can be addressed directly. In addition, by doing this, it is expected that students can develop themselves well in their social, academic, and career life. School counselors can use flipped classroom guidance to make innovation in performing classroom guidance services. The steps to perform flipped classroom guidance, in brief, are determine the topic to be discussed based on the need of the student, creating service program plan, then setting up the activities that the students will do in pre-class activity and inside the class, the implementation of the activities and evaluation, and follow up.

 AbstractGuidance and counseling services is a service intended for all people, meaning that anyone can accept this service. However, service delivery must be done by people who are truly professionals who understand the techniques and methods of implementation. The guidance and counseling process is a service that always prioritizes communication. Communication is a vital tool that must be considered by the counselor. For that communication must be built as comfortable as possible by the counselor. One of the things that supports the success of the guidance and counseling service process is the therapeutic communication atmosphere, which means that the atmosphere is focused on healing the client. Therapeutic is basically known in the world of nursing but at this time therapeutic is also beginning to be known in the guidance and counseling services. In this study, we conducted a literature study that discusses therapeutic communication that can be done in counseling and guidance services. The conclusion of this study is that therapeutic communication is in principle a professional communication that leads to the goal. To be able to carry out the therapeutic communication process effectively, counselors need to master communication techniques. In its actualization, therapeutic communication is used by the counselor to instill confidence in the counselee and create a close relationship between the two in order to be able to open themselves to each other in handling problems and then the goals to be achieved can be implemented to the maximum.Keywords: communication, guidance and counseling, therapeutic.

The purpose of the study was to determine the perceptions of students of the influence of guidance and counseling services on academic performance in Baringo County, Kenya. The objectives of the study were to: investigate the perception of students on the various guidance and counseling services and determine the perceptions of students on the influence of guidance and counseling on academic performance. The study was guided by the self-perception theory. The ontology was constructivist. The epistemology was interpretivist. The research method was qualitative. The research design was phenomenology. Samples of 12 secondary schools, 130 students, 12 teachers were selected. Focus Group Discussion (FDG) and interview guides were used to generate data. The data was thematically analyzed. The study major findings were; that students perceived guidance and counseling services positively and that they had contributed significantly to their academic performance. The study recommends that there is need to further develop and strengthen guidance and counseling in Baringo County Secondary Schools and develop a theory to guide this process, informed by increased cases of indiscipline and truancy among students.

The development of technology and communication provides convenience and extends the space for the movement of society today. The use of social media is high in proportion to the development of millennial generation who are familiar with technology. This generation has the characteristics of open communication, fanatical social media users, their lives are greatly affected by technological developments. Professional counselors must create a creative and innovative ways, strategies or methods to support guidance and counseling services for the millennial generation. Cyber Counseling is a services form of innovation and breakthrough in the world of counseling for millennials. Some Cyber Counseling methods that have been used by counselors include: E-mail-based Cyber-counseling, Android-based Cyber-Counseling Chat, Text-Based Cyber ​​Counseling Using Riliv Android Applications, and Facebook-based Cyber ​​Counseling.

Current study aims to reveal the problems that pre-school teachers and parents face, in relation to guidance and counseling services, at schools without psychological counselors. The purpose of including pre-school teachers and parents in the current study was to find out both whether they considered the guidance and counseling services a need and whether their methods of intervention against the problems that they face were functional. The current research was designed with interview technique as a qualitative study method. Research data were collected through a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. The researcher met the participants individually and asked the questions on the interview form for the current research. The responses that the participants provided were recorded and later transferred onto computer environment. The study group, formed based on voluntary participation, included total 30 participants with 15 pre-school teachers and 15 parents of pre-school children. Pre-school teacher participants 10 females and 5 males, worked for five different preschools in Adiyaman. Total 15 parents in the study group included nine females and six males. An examination of pre-school teachers’ responses based on the current study findings indicated that majority of the teachers did not prepare an annual counseling and guidance plan. Another finding of the current study was that children of most parents and teachers experience adjustment problems in pre-school. Another finding of the current research is about children’s individual problems. Main individual problems that parents experienced with their children included self-care and social development.

The government has issued regulations regarding efforts to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. One of them is by imposing new normal behaviour or new normal. The education sector is one of the areas affected, including guidance and counseling services. This study aims to determine the effective services in counseling guidance in the new normal period. This research uses the type of library research or library research. The technique for collecting data is through the study of various reference sources related to the article's theme. The study results show that several madrasah counseling guidance services can be applied in the new normal period, including home visit services, direct meeting programs, cyber counseling and counseling cinema.
