The coal mining technology of fully mechanized solid filling is an efficient and green mining method that integrates “sediment reduction” and “emission reduction.” However, the discharge of wasted gangue and surface subsidence are controlled by the amount of wasted gangue used in filling mining and the compaction rate of gangue filled into a goaf, respectively. To increase the consumption of wasted gangue and reduce surface subsidence, mixed gangue composed of equal-quality washed gangue and crushed gangue is proposed as a raw material for solid filling on the basis of gradation theory. Next, a screening experiment was performed to analyze the grain gradation of different specimens, and a compression experiment was executed to compare and analyze the compression characteristics. The results show that the nonuniformity coefficient of mixed gangue is 55.2 and the curvature coefficient is 1.53, which significantly improve the grain gradation of washed gangue. The degree of relative compaction of mixed gangue is 1.226, which is significantly lower than that of washed gangue, which is 1.33. The deformation modulus of mixed gangue is 23–135 MPa, which is better than that of washed gangue (26–100 MPa), indicating that the compressive resistance of mixed gangue is significantly improved. The case study of the Tangkou mine suggests that mixed gangue greatly promotes the consumption of wasted gangue and can effectively control the surface deformation.

Uranium deposits and resources are considered as an important raw material base for the implementation of scenarios for the green and clean energy transition. Traditionally discussed risks of potential environmental impacts of Uranium projects development could be subdivided by deposit type. Surficial type mineralization connected to the calcretes in shallow paleovalleys or playas has many specific features which might be analysed separately. Case study of Oum Dheroua Uranium project in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania shows an unexpected lower estimation of environmental risks comparatively to conventional Uranium projects despite to open-pit mining technology. The reasons for such estimation, connected to geographic location, the inclusion of Uranium minerals in natural ecosystems and low scale of deposits (both in grade and size sense). Potential by-products (Vanadium and Strontium) are not part of environmental factors assessment.

Goafs formed in mine-out areas threat the underground mines owing to possibilities of rock burst and surface subsidence. This paper aims to discuss the feasibility, design and construction of waste rock backfill in abandoned stopes. Based on goafs distribution and stabilities in the White Bull Mine, rock backfill system with a total volume of 362,000 m3in 8 gobs was designed and carried out. The system included technologically and economically feasible stopes, conveying equipments of tramcars, rock transfer by electric rakes, haulage network and mining workings. Field effects showed that rock backfill was applicable to control potential hazards. With rock filling, goaf utilization rates ranged from 60% to 70%, which helped to control adjacent rock movement, eliminate rock burst and surface subsidence. Additionally, backfill construction reduced the lift and transportation costs of rocks by about 50%, which further lowered the land usage of surface dumping.

The author presents a methodology which is used first to model a product-manufacturing-and-distribution system, and then to predict the resulting changes in environmental impact from changes either in taxation or in costs of inputs. A case study of the paper sector in the eastern and central United States is developed, derived from the 1993 US Commodity Flow Survey. From an analysis of five scenarios, two central findings arise: (1) the model is found to be unresponsive to even large changes in transport taxation, so an environmental policy which considers both transportation and production aspects at the same time is favored, and (2) fluctuations in raw-material costs can have an influence on environmental impact as great as or greater than that of changes in taxation levels.

Internal Control is a process that is controlled by each person in a company to achieve stated objectives such as: complying with regulations and laws, securing company assets and data, accuracy of financial statements and efficiency and operating effectiveness. This research was conducted to evaluate the internal ctheontrol system of raw material inventory which was been applied. Makmur Jaya.the type of research used descriptive is descriptive qualitative research type with case study approuch that describes and explains a problem in systematic and factual so that by collecting information related to the object under study. Data source used in primary and secoundary data source. The data collection technical used are obervations. Interviews and documentantation. Data analisys technique is done by collectiong data, describing the internal control system of raw material inventory applied by the company, then evaluate the internal control system applied. Makmur Jaya based on the control environment, risk assesment, control activities information and communication and monitoring. As frações granulométricas do solo são consideradas recursos naturais não renováveis, devido a escala de tempo necessária para sua formação. A argila possui elevada disponibilidade na natureza, e por isso seu uso ainda é indiscriminado. É a matéria-prima principal para as indústrias de cerâmica vermelha pulverizadas em todo o território brasileiro. O objetivo do trabalho foi realizar uma discussão acerca do recurso natural não renovável argila e seu uso no processo produtivo da Indústria de cerâmica vermelha. Este foi desenvolvido através de pesquisa bibliográfica, e estudo de caso com realização de visitas técnicas a uma indústria de cerâmica vermelha localizada no município de Paudalho no estado de Pernambuco. No ano de 2013 a Indústria X adquiriu para estoque e consumo 70.161 toneladas, para uma produção de 35.806.268 blocos de cerâmica. De todo o quantitativo produzido houve uma perda de 7,5%, que reflete em 4.768 toneladas de argila e num prejuízo aproximado de R$ 845.835,52. Através do trabalho realizado percebe-se que há uma necessidade de planejamento da exploração e uso dos recursos naturais não renováveis, pois estes podem se tornar escassos e inviabilizar determinados processos produtivos. Isso pode acarretar em conflitos sociais e econômicos, pela valoração dos recursos e diminuição de disponibilidade para uso, ocasionando redução dos lucros por parte dos empresários e por consequência diminuição na oferta de empregos.Use of clay in the production process of the Red Ceramics: A case study in the city of Paudalho, Pernambuco Abstract: The fractions of soil are considered non-renewable natural resources, because the time scale required for its formation. Clay has high availability in nature, and therefore its use is still indiscriminate. It is the main raw material for the manufacture of red ceramic sprayed throughout the Brazilian territory. The objective was to conduct a discussion of non-renewable natural resource clay and its use in industry's production process of red ceramic. It was developed through literature review and case study of technical a red ceramic industry in the municipality of Paudalho in Pernambuco state visits. In 2013 the X Industry acquired for stock and consumption 70,161 tons, for a production of 35,806,268 ceramic blocks. The entire quantity produced there was a loss of 7.5%, which reflects in 4,768 tons of clay and an approximate loss of R $ 845,835.52. Through work is noticed that there is a need for planning of exploration and use of non-renewable natural resources, as they may become scarce and derail certain production processes. This can lead to social and economic conflicts, the valuation of resources and reduced availability for use, resulting in lower profits for entrepreneurs and consequently decrease in the supply of jobs.
