Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is a widely used and accepted treatment of choice for oocyte fertilization. However, the quality of sperm selection depends on the accurate visualization of the morphology, which can be achieved with a high image resolution. We aim to correct the conviction, shown in a myriad of publications, that an ultra-high magnification in the range of 6000×–10,000× can be achieved with an optical microscope. The goal of observing sperm under the microscope is not to simply get a larger image, but rather to obtain more detail—therefore, we indicate that the optical system’s resolution is what should be primarily considered. We provide specific microscope system setup recommendations sufficient for most clinical cases that are based on our experience showing that the optical resolution of 0.5 μm allows appropriate visualization of sperm defects. Last but not least, we suggest that mixed research results regarding the clinical value of IMSI, comparing to ICSI, can stem from a lack of standardization of microscopy techniques used for both ICSI and IMSI.

Due to environment untidiness and inappropriate setting or dealing of camera, a satellite image contains blur or other types of noises. These images are captured by satellites consist lots of information about the surface of earth or other planets. But, due to blur or noise, the quality of these images is degraded. Now days, there are many fields in which satellite images are used, which effects the environment. The accuracy and effective visual display of satellite images with high image resolution using CBIR technique is major concern. This paper presents a comparative analysis of existing satellite image enhancement techniques to reduce the blur of an image on the basis of accuracy and response time. The aim of research work is to eliminate the noise without losing high frequency details and to enhance the image for effective visual display.

Abstract As minimum feature sizes decrease for ultra large scale integration, deleterious effects of smallest defects become increasingly important. In order to detect, measure and analyze these defects in buried structures, complementary techniques to those presently used must be developed and explored. Conventional optical microscopy techniques such as UV, confocal and laser scanning are approaching their fundamental limits of resolution. The near-field scanning optical microscope (NSOM) offers sufficiently high spatial resolution (50 nm), and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio to image buried structures inside optically transparent media. In order to investigate defects in layers below the surface of completed devices, we have developed a special sample preparation technique and have demonstrated optical resolution at the 50 nm level. In addition, we have explored the interaction in the image formation of a mixture of near and far field contributions. We show how useful buried layer information may be obtained via NSOM and demonstrate the present limitations of the technique. We compare our results to those obtained by conventional optical microscopy techniques.

Introduction: There is a decline in male fertility thus new treatments are needed. Aims: To test the efficacy of a new dietary supplement developed in the USA and registered as a curing drug in Hungary (OGYI). Methods: In a clinical trial 100 men with low sperm quality (spermium count 5–20 M/ml, good motility 10–40%, and adverse shape 30–50%) were examined. Results: Sperm parameters were measured before and after a 3-month treatment and after another 3-month without treatment. This dietary supplement statistically and clinically significantly improved sperm count and motility. In 74 cases this dietary supplement demonstrated a beneficial effect on sperm quality (more than 10% increase in sperm count, or quality of motility, or shape); in 16 cases the improvement exceeded 30%. No adverse effect could be accounted for this treatment. Conclusions: This new dietary supplement may contribute to the treatment of male infertility. Orv. Hetil., 2012, 153, 1787–1792.

Abstract Device shrinkage has resulted in thinner barriers and smaller vias. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) has become a common technique for barrier profile analysis because of its high image resolution. TEM sample preparation and image interpretation becomes difficult when the size of the small cylindrical via is close to the TEM sample thickness. Effects of different sample thickness and specimen preparation methods, therefore, have been investigated. An automatic FIB program has been shown to be useful in via sample preparation. Techniques for imaging a TEM specimen will be discussed in the paper. Conventional TEM bright field (BF) image is adequate to examine the barrieronly via; however, other techniques are more suitable for a Cu filled via.

This study was intended to determine the free testosterone levels and sperm quality of local rabbit that was given commercial feed supplemented cod fish liver oil.  The experiment design that was used in this research was Complete Random Design (CRD) with four experiments of feed, i.e. commercial feed without cod fish liver oil (R-0) as control, commercial feed + 1,5% cod fish liver oil (R-1), commercial feed + cod fish liver oil 3% (R-2), commercial feed + cod fish liver oil 4,5% (R-3). The each experiment included eight rabbits and feed experiment was given starting by 13 weeks to 26 weeks years old. The variable that observed was free testosterone level and sperm quality of local rabbit. The data that was obtained to be analyzed with One Way Anova and if its contrast was done more test with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result of this research was to show that supplementation of cod fish liver oil in commercial feed was to show the result that a real distinction of (P<0, 05) towards free testosterone level and sperm quality of local rabbit.

When applying coatings using various methods on the surfaces of moving parts that work in joints, it is important to make sure that the coatings are strong and wear-resistant in order to return them to their original resource. All existing hardening technologies and materials used to perform coatings have their own characteristics, therefore, the quality of the resulting coatings can be judged only after specific tests. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in evaluating the properties of the coating obtained by the method of electric spark hardening, and its ability to resist friction and mechanical wear. (Materials and methods) Authors conducted tests on the basis of the "Nano-Center" center for collective use. A coating was applied on the BIG-4M unit with a VK-8 hard alloy electrode, tribological properties were evaluated on a CSM Instruments TRB-S-DE-0000 tribometer, the width of the friction track was measured after the test using an inverted OLYMPUS gx51 optical microscope, and samples were weighed before and after the test on a VLR-200 analytical balance. Conducted research in accordance with GOST 23.224-86 and RD 50-662-88 guidelines. (Results and discussion) The article presents performed tests on the run-in and wear resistance of the coating. The samples were worked on with a step-by-step increase in the load. During the tests, the friction force was drawed on the diagram. Authors compared the results with the reference sample, an uncoated surface. (Conclusions) The resulting coating has better run-in and wear resistance compared to the standard, and the increase in wear resistance in dry friction conditions is very significant.

Background Fatigue and pain are prevalent symptoms of multiple sclerosis (MS) and frequent complaint in MS patients, which reduce their quality of life. This study aimed to assess the effect of massage therapy on pain and fatigue in MS Patients. Method The original and Persian databases were searched included PubMed, web of science, embase, ovid, scopus, and the Cochrane Library, SID, and Iranedex from inception to November 2020. Studies that reported the effect of massage on fatigue and pain were included. Two investigators extracted all relevant data, independently. For deriving analysis, mean difference (MD) and standardized mean difference (SMD) were used. Result Ten studies were eligible acoording criteria. The effect of massage on fatigue showed significant improvement (−1.62; 95% CL −2.40, −0.83; p < .00001), also results of the systematic review showed a significant reduction in pain severity. Conclusion Massage as a complementary and non-pharmacological therapy might have been associated with alleviating fatigue and pain in M.S. patients. Based on the current study, massage intervention for MS patients could have possible clinical value for palliating pain and fatigue and improving quality of life; however, this matter needs further and more significant trial studies.

We report on the die bonding processes and how the surface roughness and metallization schemes affect the processes of die bonding in 4H-SiC device fabrication using a soldering test and die shear test (DST) with differently prepared 4H-SiC samples. The first set of samples (FZ#1 and FZ#2) was capped with sequentially evaporated Ti and Au on an annealed Ni layer. The second set of samples (FZ#3 and FZ#4) and the third set of samples (FZ#5 and FZ#6) were prepared by 4μm-thick Au electroplating on an annealed Ni layer and an un-annealed Ni layer, respectively. The quality of the soldering, such as the solder coverage, void, and adhesion, was characterized by optical microscope, X-ray microprobe, and DST. We found that the samples (FZ#4 and FZ#6) deposited by Au electroplating on C-face (bottom-side) 4H-SiC provided a satisfactory result for the tests of solder coverage, void, and DST and also realized the cleaning process prior to the electroplating and soldering was the most crucial in the die packaging processes of vertical structure devices. The void fraction measured by X-ray microprobe for the samples, FZ#4 and FZ#6 was 2.2% (average for 5 samples) and 0.8% (average for 3 samples), respectively.
