Developing students’ self-study capacity is an urgent task of high schools in the current educational renovation period in Vietnam. This article presents research findings on developing self-study capacity for students through building and organizing teaching activities of 11th-grade organic chemistry project topics according to the blended learning model. The pedagogical experiment was conducted at three high schools in the north, central, and south regions of Vietnam with 125 students. The data obtained from the teacher’s assessment and the students’ self-assessment showed obvious development of students’ self-study capacity in experimental classes.

The main problem in education today is the lack of effectiveness in the learning process. This can be seen from the average student learning outcomes which are always still low. Especially for vocational high school students who emphasize learning skills in order to produce work-ready graduates, but it is inversely proportional to the facts in the field. Low learning outcomes are indicated because the learning conditions are still conventional (lectures, practicum, and discussions) where teachers are still a source of learning (teacher centered). This study aims to determine the effect of the project based blended learning model on learning outcomes of vocational high school students. This research was conducted through a literature review and relevant research results and was continued through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). From the research it was found that there was a significant positive influence between the variable model of project based blended learning and student learning outcomes, which means that student learning outcomes can be improved through the application of a project based blended learning model.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of blended learning model on senior high school students’ achievement. This study used experimental research method with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The study was carried out with 63 students attending information and communication technology course, where 31 of whom were in the experimental group and 32 of whom were in the control group. In the experimental group, teacher used blended learning as instructional model, while in the control group, the course was taught based on traditional teaching model. Data collected from the result of learning objective test with 35 questions. The research showed that the learning result of experimental group is higher than the learning result of control group. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the blended learning model contributed more to the students’ achievement.

The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the blended learning model towards learning outcomes of the comprehension concepts and economic problems solving of Private Islamic High School students in Nganjuk Regency. The study used an experimental method, with a quasi-nonequivalent control group design. The research was conducted at Private Islamic High School Al Manar Prambon Nganjuk. The samples were conducted based on students' characteristics and similarities in economic topics. The experimental class was assigned to XI Social 1 and the control class was XI Social 2. The analysis technique used was descriptive statistical technique and two-ways MANAVA. Descriptive statistics were seen from the mean, standard deviation, variance, and presentation. The results of the MANAVA test analysis when viewed from the centroid pillar's trace, Wilks' lambda, hotelling's trace, and Roy's lambda root in the experimental class had a significance value of 0.000. The value was transformed to the Fisher distribution or F test, then it is smaller than α ˂ 0.050. The study shows that the blended learning model has an effect on the learning outcomes of comprehension concepts and economic problems solving of Private Islamic High School students.

In terms of general learning and Mathematics study, in particular, self-study ability is a fundamental element to promote learning efficiency. The research objective focuses on Proposing specific measures for developing the math self-study ability of high school students. Secondly, the research result reveals 5 methods for developing math self-study ability of high school students in Vietnam, including (1) Fostering motivation, attitude, sense of self-study, nurturing passion and forming knowledge about Math self-studying for students through field trips or extra-curricular activities; (2) Applying objective tests as a tool to examine and evaluate students' self-study at home; (3) Training and developing students' self-instructed math skills in terms of finding and reading documents of the specific content of Mathematics and skills in listening, communicating and taking notes in class; (4) Designing and organizing for students learning activities in the direction of practising scientific research; (5) Fostering and improving student’s self-assessment skills, mistakes correction after each process of studying a specific content. The final part of the study will discuss several issues and solutions that need to be considered when putting these teaching Mathematics measures into practice at Vietnamese high schools.

The study aimed at examining the effect of adopting blended learning on Moroccan high school students’ English language proficiency. This has been essentially achieved through relying both on face-to-face classroom interactions and using “Google classroom”, which is a free online learning platform.  The researcher opted for a quasi-experimental design to gauge the impact of implementing a blended learning model on the research sample. This study enlisted the participation of 79 Moroccan first-year Baccalaureate students who were divided into two separate but homogenous groups. The experimental group was taught using the blended learning model, and the control group was tutored in a traditional learning environment. The mean scores’ differences of the pre-test and the post-test asserted that, in comparison to the face-to-face learning, the blended learning model adopted was significantly impactful in improving the language proficiency level of the treatment group. However, no significant gender differences were observed in this regard. In essence, this piece of research has placed much emphasis on the idea that the efficient incorporation of ICT, particularly blended learning, into the learning/teaching process can help satisfy students’ needs, increase their motivation, and eventually enhance their language mastery.

Indonesia is faced with an outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in early 2020. The COVID-19 pandemik has an impact on Indonesia, especially for the world of education, where the learning process is transferred to the online learning system (online) and remains at home to take part in the learning process. One of the learning models used for the learning process is the blended learning model. This study is designed to reveal the effect of the blended learning model on students' economic learning motivation and the effect of the blended learning model on the COVID-19 pandemik. This study was conducted using a phenomological method with a qualitative approach. The population in this study took proportional random sampling of information so that 16 informants were obtained consisting of 5 students (i) at the Makassar State University (UNM), 5 high school students (SMA) scattered in several cities, and 6 students from Junior High Schools (SMP) from several cities. Data collection techniques used in this study were online interviews via the WhatsApp application with several questions and data analysis techniques used to assist this study were coding techniques. Based on the research results, it can be seen that (1) the blended learning model has a positive effect on economic learning motivation in students (2) the blended learning model has a positive effect on the COVID-19 pandemik period.

Writing ability is one of the demands of learning English. However, writing is also the most difficult skill faced by high school students in the city of Pekanbaru. For this reason, the learning model should be appropriate in accordance with the age development and problems faced by students. Thus, the authors attempted to analyze; (1) the effect of blended learning on students’ writing ability; (2) the effectof language attitude on students’ writing ability; and (3) the effect of blended learning model and language attitude on students’ writing ability. Referring to the problems and purposes of this study, the author used a quantitative approach namely the experimental method with factorial design. The research was conducted at SMAN 6 Pekanbaru by using a random sampling technique. To measure students' writing ability, the researchersemployed a writing test. Whereas to obtain information or collect data related to language attitude in this study, the researchers distributed questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. After collecting data, researchers tested the data and hypotheses using SPSS 21. In this study, data was normally distributed and the population was homogeneous so that hypothesis testing could be continued. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, this study could be concluded that; (1) there was an effect of blended learning on students’ writing ability; (2) there was an effectof language attitude on students’ writing ability; and (3) there was no effect of blended learning model and language attitude on students’ writing ability.
