The paper discusses the method of identifying the technical condition of induction motors by classifying the energy data coming from the main common power bus. The work shows the simulation results of induction motor operation. The correlation between occurring defects and current diagrams is presented. The developed simulation model is demonstrated. The general algorithm for conducting experiments is described. Five different experiments to develop an algorithm for the classification are conducted: determination of the motors number in operation with different power; determination of the motors number in operation with equal power; determination of the mode and load of induction electric motor; determination of the fault and its magnitude with regard to operation and load of induction motor; determination of the fault and its magnitude with regard to operation and load of induction motor with regard to non-linear load in the flow. The article also presents an algorithm for preprocessing data to solve the classification problem. In addition, the classification results are shown and recommendations for testing and using the classification algorithm on a real object are made.

This paper analyses the electrical power quality for the induction motor of 75 kWusing the spectral analysis methods. Measurements are carried out by collecting the current and voltage variations in a ceramic factory. Spectral analyzing techniques are applied to the collected data to get the spectral properties. Hence, induction motor operation regions are categorized under three zones. These are no-load condition; transient case from no-load to load and full-load, respectively. Consequently, the variations of the harmonics are compared with each other under these different operation conditions and then the most important characteristics of the harmonics are determined. In this manner, dominant harmonics are obtained as 5th, 7th, 11th, 13th and 17th harmonics as well as fundamental frequency at 50 Hz. This paper deals about the identification of robust controller for 3hp 3Φ induction motor which is used in cable industry (Ravicab cables private limited) at Bidadi. In this cable industry 3hp 3Φ induction motor is used for cable pulling purpose. This industry is using PID (Proportional derivative integral) controller based VFD (Voltage frequency drive) for controlling the speed of this 3hp 3Φ induction motor. This VFD is not functioning well for the non linear load and disturbance environment. Therefore in this paper Neural network based speed controller is proposed as proposed controller-I for replacing the PID based VFD. Performance of the 3hp 3Φ induction motor is estimated when Neural network controller is interfaced with the motor. Then Neuro-fuzzy controller based speed controller is proposed as proposed controller-II for replacing the PID based VFD. Performance of the 3hp 3Φ induction motor is estimated when Neuro-fuzzy controller is interfaced with the motor. At last robust controller for the 3hp 3Φ induction motor which is used for cable pulling purpose is going to be identified by doing comparison chart between Neural network and Neuro-fuzzy controller.

Voltage sag is one of the most significant power quality problems in the industry and has a significant impact on induction motor safety and stability. This paper analyzes the characteristics of voltage dips in power systems and induction motors with a special emphasis on balanced dips with the help of virtual grids (regenerative grid simulator), as per IEC 61000-4-11. Three phase induction motors with 3.3 kW, 16 A coupled to a DC generator with 3.7 kW, and 7.8 A rated are considered for the test analysis. This paper aids in the development of an induction motor to achieve improved precision by taking different voltage sags into account. The experimental results benefit the design modifications of induction motors at industrial and other commercial levels of consumers regarding major power quality issues and the behavior of the induction motors. A proposed modification employing ANSYS is provided to further examine the precise performance of induction motors during sag events.

The problem of the limiting states occurrence in the structures of a vertical steel tank is investigated in this work. To study the SSS of the metal structures of the object, the authors created a numerical model of the RVS-20000 tank in the ANSYS software complex. The model considers the maximum number of elements with their geometry and connections affecting the tank SSS under non-axisymmetric loading, including beyond the elasticity of steel. Dependences between the parameters of intrinsic stiffness of the VST are obtained. The results of the finite element analysis made it possible to develop a technique for assessing the technical condition of the structure with the development of irregular subsidence of the external bottom contour. The proposed technique can be used by both operating and design organizations in making managerial decisions regarding the repair of RVS-20000 subjected to the base subsidence.
