The rural ecotourism system can be defined as a complex association of stakeholders. This system of rural ecotourism in relatively poor areas of China can influence rural revitalization strategies. The purpose of this study is to plan a rural ecotourism system among the tourism enterprises, local residents and government by using an evolutionary game theory. Based on the theoretical analysis, an evolution game model for the three stakeholders is developed and the evolution process of strategies is described by replicator dynamic equations. Then, a simulation method and case was used to analyze the stability of interactions among the stakeholders and determine an equilibrium solution in the finite rationality case. Finally, specific control strategies were proposed to suppress instability and an ideal evolutionarily stable strategy was obtained. This provides a theoretical basis for achieving a win-win situation among the three parties. The results of this study suggest appropriate roles for stakeholders in the rural ecotourism project that provide management implications for rural tourism activities, local economy and rural revitalization.

Honeypot has been regarded as an active defense technology that can deceive attackers by simulating real systems. However, honeypot is actually a static network trap with fixed disposition, which is easily identified by anti-honeypot technology. Thus, honeypot is a “passive” active defense technology. Dynamic honeypot makes up for the shortcomings of honeypot, which dynamically adjusts defense strategies with the attack of hackers. Therefore, the confrontation between defenders and attackers is a strategic game. This paper focuses on the non-cooperative evolutionary game mechanism of bounded rationality, aiming to improve the security of the array honeypot system through the evolutionarily stable strategies derived from the evolutionary game model. First, we construct a three-party evolutionary game model of array honeypot, which is composed of defenders, attackers and legitimate users. Secondly, we formally describe the strategies and revenues of players in the game, and build the three-party game payoff matrices. Then the evolutionarily stable strategy is obtained by analyzing the Replicator Dynamics of various parties. In addition, we discuss the equilibrium condition to get the influence of the number of servers N on the stability of strategy evolution. MATLAB and Gambit simulation experiment results show that deduced evolutionarily stable strategies are valid in resisting attackers.

In order to forecast the stability of deep roadway and optimize the parameters of bolts, the complex stress environment and the multivariate surrounding rocks characteristics of deep roadway were analyzed. Then the classification prediction method and the numerical simulation method were simultaneously used to analysis the stability of surrounding rocks. Furthermore, the supporting parameters of bolts were also designed optimally. It was shown that the characteristics of stress distribution, deformation and failure zone of surrounding rocks are not ideal. So it is necessary to optimize the supporting parameters of deep roadway. All these research findings will provide the theory basis for bolts of deep roadway and will ensure the optimization of bolts and the stability of deep roadway in the long run.

Aiming at the current situation of anchor bolt and cable arrangement in mine roadway support, the paper analysis the mechanical characteristics and mechanism of bolts and cables, and numerical simulation method is used to comparison and analysis of pre-tension distribution characteristics under different anchor bolt-cable arrangement. The research indicated that separate anchor bolt-cable layout in different sections, anchor bolt and cable force stable equilibrium, coordinate with each other, at this time roadway surrounding rock of shallow and deep pretension distribution more reasonable, can play a role of bolt anchor cable synergistic action, and form the best pre-tension load-bearing structure, which is helpful to keep the stability of coal roadway.

An electric oil pump (EOP) was integrated into the hydraulic system and an automatic transmission (AT) mechanical oil pump (MOP) was downsized. These processes were performed to combine a start-stop function with the AT and further improve the transmission efficiency. Furthermore, this study established a dynamics model of power loss and leakage of an 8-speed AT; a flow-based control algorithm of the EOP was then developed to realize the start-stop function and support the MOP to meet the flow requirement of the system. Based on a driving simulation method, sizes of the MOP and EOP that ensured optimal fuel economy were selected. A control strategy for the starting clutch was also developed to minimize the starting delay of the test vehicle. A test environment on a rig and prototype vehicle was established to verify the feasibility of the proposed control strategies. The test results indicated that the transmission functioned favorably with the novel two-pump system presented, and a quick and smooth starting performance was achieved when the engine was restarted. The findings in this study are extremely valuable for forward designs of an AT for realizing start-stop function and improving efficiency.

In this article, the complex dynamic behavior of a nonlinear aeroelastic airfoil model with cubic nonlinear pitching stiffness is investigated by applying a theoretical method and numerical simulation method. First, through calculating the Jacobian of the nonlinear system at equilibrium, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions when this system has two classes of degenerated equilibria. They are described as: (1) one pair of purely imaginary roots and one pair of conjugate complex roots with negative real parts; (2) two pairs of purely imaginary roots under nonresonant conditions. Then, with the aid of center manifold and normal form theories, we not only derive the stability conditions of the initial and nonzero equilibria, but also get the explicit expressions of the critical bifurcation lines resulting in static bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation. Specifically, quasi-periodic motions on 2D and 3D tori are found in the neighborhoods of the initial and nonzero equilibria under certain parameter conditions. Finally, the numerical simulations performed by the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method provide a good agreement with the results of theoretical analysis.

In this study, we propose a novel fractional-order Jerk system. Experiments show that, under some suitable parameters, the fractional-order Jerk system displays a chaotic phenomenon. In order to suppress the chaotic behavior of the fractional-order Jerk system, we design two control strategies. Firstly, we design an appropriate time delay feedback controller to suppress the chaos of the fractional-order Jerk system. The delay-independent stability and bifurcation conditions are established. Secondly, we design a suitable mixed controller, which includes a time delay feedback controller and a fractional-order PDσ controller, to eliminate the chaos of the fractional-order Jerk system. The sufficient condition ensuring the stability and the creation of Hopf bifurcation for the fractional-order controlled Jerk system is derived. Finally, computer simulations are executed to verify the feasibility of the designed controllers. The derived results of this study are absolutely new and possess potential application value in controlling chaos in physics. Moreover, the research approach also enriches the chaos control theory of fractional-order dynamical system.

AbstractWe address the issue of stability of coexistence of two strategies with respect to time delays in evolving populations. It is well known that time delays may cause oscillations. Here we report a novel behavior. We show that a microscopic model of evolutionary games with a unique mixed evolutionarily stable strategy (a globally asymptotically stable interior stationary state in the standard replicator dynamics) and with strategy-dependent time delays leads to a new type of replicator dynamics. It describes the time evolution of fractions of the population playing given strategies and the size of the population. Unlike in all previous models, an interior stationary state of such dynamics depends continuously on time delays and at some point it might disappear, no cycles are present. In particular, this means that an arbitrarily small time delay changes an interior stationary state. Moreover, at certain time delays, there may appear another interior stationary state.Author summarySocial and biological processes are usually described by ordinary or partial differential equations, or by Markov processes if we take into account stochastic perturbations. However, interactions between individuals, players or molecules, naturally take time. Results of biological interactions between individuals may appear in the future, and in social models, individuals or players may act, that is choose appropriate strategies, on the basis of the information concerning events in the past. It is natural therefore to introduce time delays into evolutionary game models. It was usually observed, and expected, that small time delays do not change the behavior of the system and large time delays may cause oscillations. Here we report a novel behavior. We show that microscopic models of evolutionary games with strategy-dependent time delays, in which payoffs appear some time after interactions of individuals, lead to a new type of replicator dynamics. Unlike in all previous models, interior stationary states of such dynamics depend continuously on time delays. This shows that effects of time delays are much more complex than it was previously thought.

In response to severe environmental challenges, green innovation (GI) has been thoroughly considered by various governments. Although China has promulgated many environmental policies to promote environmental governance, regulatory capture and the lack of independent external supervisors lead to a challenging future. This study employs an evolutionary game method to explore how the policy burden and media affect decision-making between local governments and manufacturing enterprises. On this basis, the simulation method is used to examine critical factors that affect regulatory capture and GI. The results show that the policy burden is the main factor that causes regulatory capture. When the policy burden exceeds a certain threshold, it will cause regulatory capture and hinder GI. Moreover, media, as an external supervisor, can restrain regulatory capture and promote GI significantly. Specifically, when the capacity of media supervision is high enough, due to the positive role of the media, it will inhibit the negative effects of policy burdens. Finally, combined with the different development stages of China’s green industry, the corresponding policy recommendations are given. These results extend the research of regulatory capture and provide a reference for governments to promote environmental governance in practice.

Why would people hide positive information about themselves? Evolutionary game theorists have recently developed the signal-burying game as a simple model to shed light on this puzzle; they have shown that the game has an equilibrium where some agents are better off deliberately reducing the visibility of the signal by which they broadcast their positive traits. However, their explanation falls short of explaining all modesty norms, since this equilibrium also features individuals who openly brag. This leaves modesty norms that everyone adheres to in want of an explanation. Here we show that the signal-burying framework actually affords such an explanation: the game contains an equilibrium where all agents who send a signal voluntarily reduce its conspicuousness. Surprisingly, the stability of the two kinds of equilibria rely on very different principles. The equilibrium where some agents brag is stable because of costly signaling dynamics. By contrast, the universal modesty equilibrium exists because buried signals contain probabilistic information about a sender's type, and receivers make optimal use of this information. In the latter equilibrium, burying a signal can be understood as a handicap which makes the signal more honest, but honesty is not achieved through standard costly signaling dynamics.
