The increasing use of social media and the recent advances in geo-positioning technologies have produced a great amount of geosocial data, consisting of spatial, textual, and social information, to be managed and queried. In this paper, we focus on the issue of query processing by providing a systematic literature review of geosocial data representations, query processing methods, and evaluation approaches published over the last two decades (2000–2020). The result of our analysis shows the categories of geosocial queries proposed by the surveyed studies, the query primitives and the kind of access method used to retrieve the result of the queries, the common evaluation metrics and datasets used to evaluate the performance of the query processing methods, and the main open challenges that should be faced in the near future. Due to the ongoing interest in this research topic, the results of this survey are valuable to many researchers and practitioners by gaining an in-depth understanding of the geosocial querying process and its applications and possible future perspectives.

: The field of nanosensors has been gaining a lot of attention due to its properties such as mechanical and electrical ever since its first discovery by Dr. Wolter and first mechanical sensor in 1994. The rapidly growing demand of nanosensors has become profitable for a multidisciplinary approach in designing and fabrication of materials and strategies for potential applications. Frequent stimulating advancements are being suggested and established in recent years and thus heading towards multiple applications including food safety, healthcare, environmental monitoring, and biomedical research. Nanofabrication being an efficient method has been used in different industries like medical pharmaceutical for their complex functional geometry at a lower scale. These nanofabrications apply through different methods. There are five most commonly known methods which are frequently used, including top-down lithography, molecular self-assembly, bottom-up assembly, heat and pull method for fabrication of biosensors, etching for fabrication of nanosensors etc. Nanofabrication help at the nanoscale to design and work with small models. But these models due to their small size and being sensitive need more care for use as well as more training and experience to do work with. All methods used for nanofabrication are good and helpful. But more preferred is molecular self-assembly as it is helpful in mass production. Nanofabrication has become an emerging and developing field and it assumed that in near future our world is known by the new devices of nanofabrication.

The large-antlered, or giant, muntjac Megamuntiacus vuquangensis wasdescribed from Vietnam in 1994 and found concurrently in the Annamite Mountains and nearby hill ranges of central and southern Laos. The northerly and southerly range limits are still unknown. It may occupy a wide range of habitats and is found sympatrically with the common muntjac Muntiacus muntjak. Another muntjac species, the taxonomic affinity of which is as yet undetermined, was recently discovered to occur within its range. The large-antlered muntjac is probably not threatened with extinction in the near future, but in view of its restricted range and threats from habitat degradation and hunting, it should be classified as Vulnerable in the Red Data Book. Its future in Laos is largely dependent on the recently created protected-areas system to maintain large tracts of habitat and reduce hunting pressure.

Abstract: This study explores married couples’ perception of the effects of using social media on marital relationships in Saudi Arabian society. The study discusses the growing use of social media, the common applications used, the reasons why married couples use social media, and the potential marital problems caused by the excessive use of social media. These issues are explored through the viewpoints of married couples living in Saudi Arabia. An online-based questionnaire was used to collect data, and the data sample comprised 1,226 married Saudi citizens; 55.7% male and 44.3% female. The data was analyzed using SPSS. The results show that the use of social media is common among married couples in Saudi Arabia, and that the majority use social media excessively. WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat are the most common applications used. The study also finds that married couples use social media for a number of different purposes, including communicating with family and friends, keeping up to date with celebrity and social media influencers’ news, as well as sharing photos and videos with others. Finally, spouses think that their partner’s excessive use of social media can cause marital problems, including the feelings of jealousy, the neglect of family responsibilities, the weakening of interpersonal communication, and the feelings of mistrust. Background: Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs), a type of biomimetic materials have attracted considerable interest owing to their cost-effectiveness, good physiochemical stability, favorable specificity and selectivity for target analytes, and long shelf life. These materials are able to mimic natural recognition entities, including biological receptors and antibodies, providing a versatile platform to achieve the desirable functionality for various biomedical applications. Objective: In this review article, we introduce the most recent development of MIPs to date. We first highlight the advantages of using MIPs for a broad range of biomedical applications. We then review their various methods of synthesis along with their latest progress in biomedical applications, including biosensing, drug delivery, cell imaging and drug discovery. Lastly, the existing challenges and future perspectives of MIPs for biomedical applications are briefly discussed. Conclusion: We envision that MIPs may be used as potential materials for diverse biomedical applications in the near future.

In their seminal work, Dialectics of Enlightenment, Horkheimer and Adorno interpreted capitalism as the irrational monetization of nature. In the present work, I analyze three 21st century concepts, Anthropocene, Capitalocene and Machinocene, in light of Horkheimer and Adorno?s arguments and recent arguments from the philosophy of biology. The analysis reveals a remarkable prescience of the term ?instrumental reason?, which is present in each of the three concepts in a profound and cryptic way. In my interpretation, the term describes the propensity of science based on the notion of physicalism to interpret nature as the machine analyzable and programmable by the human reason. As a result, the Anthropocene concept is built around the mechanicist model, which may be presented as the metaphor of the car without brakes. In a similar fashion, the Machinocene concept predicts the emergence of the mechanical mind, which will dominate nature in the near future. Finally, the Capitalocene concept turns a perfectly rational ambition to expand knowledge into an irrational obsession with over-knowledge, by employing the institutionalized science as the engine of capitalism without brakes. The common denominator of all three concepts is the irrational propensity to legitimize self-destruction. Potential avenues for countering the effects of ?instrumental reason? are suggested.

The data stream is a series of data generated at sequential time from different sources. Processing such data is very important in many contemporary applications such as sensor networks, RFID technology, mobile computing and many more. The huge amount data generated and frequent changes in a short time makes the conventional processing methods insufficient. The Sliding Window Model (SWM) was introduced by Datar et. al to handle this problem. Avoiding multiple scans of the whole data sets, optimizing memory usage, and processing only the most recent tuple are the main challenges. The number of possible world instances grows exponentially in uncertain data and it is highly difficult to comprehend what it takes to meet Top-k query processing in the shortest amount of time. Following the generation of rules and the probability theory of this model, a framework was anticipated to sustain top-k processing algorithm over the SWM approach until the candidates expired. Based on the literature review study, none of the existing work have been made to tackle the issue arises from the top-k query processing of the possible world instance of the uncertain data streams within the SWM. The major issue resulted from these scenarios need to be addressed especially in the computation redundancy area that contributed to the increases of computational cost within the SWM. Therefore, the main objective of this research work is to propose the top-k query processing methods over uncertain data streams in SWM utilizing the score and the Possible World (PW) setting. In this study, a novel expiration and object indexing method is introduced to address the computational redundancy issues. We believed the proposed method can reduce computational costs and by managing insertion and exit policy on the right tuple candidates within a specified window frame. This research work will contribute to the area of computational query processing.

During the last decades, the great weaknesses of capitalism have flourished. Inequality of income distribution has worsened painfully, the gap between rich and poor widens more and more every day, and just a few lucky entrepreneurs in the world are able to enjoy the capital benefits of the global system. Hunger, poverty, demographic explosion, ageing, and unbridled mass migration, among other factors, have become critical social dilemmas directly related to capitalist deviations, all of which cause us to foresee a chaotic world scenario in the near future. The numbers shown in this article confirm that the world’s economic disparity, instead of diminishing, is increasing at an alarming rate. Unfortunately, since the world economy completely depends on capitalism, this system is still extremely powerful and influential in global decision-making, thus further aggravating economic disparity. Therefore, as it is not possible to avoid the capitalist system, we will make proposals that are feasible for implementing within the current capitalist tendencies in order to alleviate global imbalance. Compassionate Capitalism is an alternative that promotes flexibilization of the system in order to make it more sustainable. It seeks to diminish corporate control over the economy and markets by regaining the State’s economic intervention so that profits are fairly redistributed for the common welfare. The information used for the study is based on the most recent international reports and global circumstances of the topics in question.
