This chapter reviews present usage of vibration-based energy harvesting (VEH) devices and applications. The evolution of energy resources and advance in electronic technologies has resulting the need of self-sustainable wireless/portable electronic devices in current modern society. Batteries are non-beneficial in the miniaturization process of electronic designing and alternative power supplies are desperately needed to fill in the falling behind technologies gap to drive the advance of the wireless/portable development further. VEH mechanism is suggested in this chapter as the solution for the bottleneck. Various consideration of creating an optimal vibration energy harvester are suggested through an analytical model of a mechanical transducer. Useful applications and usages of VEH are presented and some suggestion for improvement are also given. Lastly, the trend of energy harvesting is annotated and commented in-line with the demand of electronic sensors market.


Now-days the electronic devices play a major role in day-to-day life. Where as in case of electricity, people are using it for 24by7 as of there were of having household appliances are of electronic devices. So if there is any power loss in meantime of running any electronic devices it may leads to damage, so to predict they were of using the battery to work instant after power loss. As we know that there are different types of battery that runs with distilled water. So in this paper we would like to discuss about how to control the batteries voltage using IOT (Internet of Things). It was of having low cost and reduces the human resources and time-efficiency and cost the system used in it was of Voltmeter. It were of using the Raspberry pi for monitoring & updating the values. While they were of using Arduino, cloud for transmitting the data.

Abstract The new realities brought on us by the growing usage of IoT devices should be paralleled by new sets of paradigms and regulations, in order to not only accomplish the raise in the living standards of people but also to increase their level of human security. The IoT devices, as well as, in whole, the virtually completely internet connected society we live in today, need strong and clear rules and regulations, need laws that can help maintain and improve the cyber-security level. While being able to electronically track one’s children, by a multitude of IoT and other electronic devices, it is a great and useful feature we have to take into account that the same information, now shared over the internet, might also get into the wrong hands and lead to unpleasant or even dangerous situations.

Lithium-ion batteries play an important role in our modern society as the main option to power portable electronic devices and electric vehicles. The growing demand for these batteries encourages the development of more efficient recycling processes, aiming to decrease the environmental impact of the spent batteries and recover their valuable components. In this paper, a combined hydrometallurgical-electrodialytic method is proposed for processing battery waste. In the combined technique, the amount of leaching solution is reduced as acid is generated via electrolysis. At the same time, the use of ion-exchange membranes and the possibility of electroplating allows for a selective separation of the target metals. Experiments were performed using LiCoO2, which is one of the most used cathodes in lithium-ion batteries. First, 0.1 M HCl solution was used in batch extractions to study the kinetics of LiCoO2 dissolution, reaching an extraction of 30% and 69% of cobalt and lithium, respectively. Secondly, hydrometallurgical extraction experiments were carried out in three-compartment electrodialytic cells, enhanced with cation-exchange membranes. Experiments yielded to a selective recovery in the catholyte of 62% of lithium and 33% of cobalt, 80% of the latter electrodeposited at the cathode.

<p>In modern society, people's material living standards have risen substantially, and physical exercise has been paid more and more attention by the public. Therefore, the goal of physical education in colleges and universities should be set lifelong physical education thought as the core and reform towards lifelong physical education thought. This paper analyzed the importance of lifelong sports, the relationship between sports and lifelong sports in colleges and universities is parsed, discussion how the lifelong sports education in physical education in colleges and universities to carry out the problem, which will be lifetime sports thought and the integration of college physical education reform, put forward the corresponding strategy, in order to improve the universities sports teaching methods of teaching.</p>
