Family influence is one of the main factors in influencing a person's tendency to engage in entrepreneurship. This is because a family is someone who is closest to a person from childhood to adulthood. So they try to cultivate a person's interest and involvement to venture into entrepreneurship. This is seen to help the government in controlling the problem of unemployment because someone who is involved in entrepreneurship can indirectly create employment opportunities for others. The relationship between family influence and entrepreneurial tendencies remains unclear according to an extensive review of past and recent studies. The results of the study have shown that the relationship is still inconsistent and mixed. Therefore, this research article focuses on the relationship between family influence and entrepreneurial tendencies by proposing a conceptual framework.

This aim of the conceptual paper is to study the relationship between the trust of the society towards Zakat Institution and their compliance on zakat. In other words, it is consider as an early study of conceptual framework to examine the factors that influence the individual trust towards Zakat Institution. Theory of Reasoned Action was applied in the study to investigate the individual’s attitude and their compliance towards paying zakat. There also some recommendations for Zakat Institution to increase their performance and boost up the percentage of Muslim zakat payers to fulfil their obligation.

The relationship between crime and tourism has not received much attention in the academic fraternity. Instead, extensive attention has been placed on the impact of tourism on economic growth, inequality, poverty and employment. To contribute to the scarce literature on crime-tourism, the researcher examined the impact of crime on tourists arrival in the Western Cape Province, South Africa. An Autoregressive Distributive Lag model was employed to examine whether crime reduces or increases the arrival of tourists in the Western Cape Province. The results show that robberies, car hijacking and unemployment minimizes the number of tourists in the province, while economic growth and prosecution per population increases the number of tourists in the province. The results further highlight that robberies, car hijacking and unemployment disequilibrium can be solved after 1 year 6 months, holding all other things constant. Based on these findings, the study recommends that the government provide more employment opportunities to prevent crime in the province.

The knowledge of an employee is an important resource for the organisation and it is very vital for companies that employees share their knowledge. Knowledge sharing cannot happen easily, as it is an individual choice and cannot be forced. Previous studies have shown that organisational trust is a backbone of knowledge sharing behaviour (KSB). In this study, the new conceptual framework proposes drawing the relationship between factors that are influencing organisational trust and testing the relationships between organisational trust and KSB. This framework classified the most significant factors that influence KSB, both directly and indirectly, through an organisational trust. The research model of this study is built from an extensive review on the literature of knowledge management (KM), organisational behaviour, sociology, phycology, trust, and management studies. Since there are very few in-depth studies specifically on trust and KSB, research on trust from an organisational perspective was consulted. This study provides methodological contributions in the form of conceptualisations for organisational trust and KSB; in addition, it provides extra emphasis in details, by identifying the dimensions of KSB and organisational trust.

Abstract The paper analyses the relationship among public efficiency, exploitation of private individuals by the government and the role of constitutional constraints. First, it contains an extensive review of the Leviathan model based on Inman's formalisation of Brennan and Buchanan theory. Secondly, an extension of such a model is proposed, in which public agents are separated into politicians and bureaucrats. In so doing a ‘new’ efficiency-equity trade-off arises, namely, the achievement of Pareto-efficiency through constitutional constraints is obtained at a cost of a possible exploitation of private individuals, while the non-exploitation allocation is coupled with a possible Pareto-inefficiency.

Exports are vital for Fiji’s economy as it contributes significantly to its gross domestic product (GDP) and economic growth. The export data over the years show very slow growth and is gradually increasing. Fiji’s GDP data show that GDP is gradually increasing. Thus, Fiji’s economic growth is also increasing at a steady rate. This study aims to measure the relationship between exports and economic growth in Fiji. A regression analysis on data collected for Fiji from 2000-2015 shows that there is a strong positive relationship between exports and economic growth. Thus, when exports increase, economic growth also increases. Potential sectors that can be further developed to boost Fiji’s exports are sugar, garment, tourism and agriculture. The government should restrict imports through import quotas, tariffs and embargoes and give subsidies and tax incentives to potential export sectors to boost domestic production and increase exports. The government’s motive is to increase export incentives and promote Fiji made products both locally and overseas. Thus, this leads to an increase in exports, improves the trade balance and economic growth. This research article was undertaken to carry out research to investigate the link between Fiji’s export and economic growth and highlight ways and potential sectors to increase Fiji’s export and reduce imports.

However, the relationship between physical built environment and cycling behavior among residential are less associated with increasing the bikeability of residents. The main factors as a major contributor to bikeability behavior are built environment and social factors.
