Reducing the cost of electricity consumption by industrial enterprises is the most important area of increasing the operational efficiency of their activities. The article is devoted to the issue of reducing the cost of paying for the service component of the transport component of purchased electrical energy from industrial enterprises that have technological connection to the electrical networks of electricity producers. The article makes an empirical study of the features of the pricing of payment for the services of the transport component of purchased electrical energy for industrial enterprises connected to the electric grids of electricity producers with the identification of factors influencing the overestimation of the cost of paid electricity, and calculating such overestimations using the example of a typical schedule of electricity consumption of a machinebuilding enterprise for various regions Russia. On the basis of the developed author's indicators (tariff coefficient for electricity transportation by the level of GNP, index of tariff coefficient for electricity transportation, weighted average price for electricity transportation, index of weighted average price for electricity transportation, integral index of efficiency of GNP tariffs) study of the effectiveness of the application of tariffs for the transport of electricity for industrial enterprises connected to the electric networks of electricity producers. Based on the calculated indicators, the article groups the regions into three main groups, with the development of recommendations for managing the cost of purchasing electricity by the component of the cost of the transport component of purchased electricity in each group. As the most optimal option for reducing the cost of electricity transportation, the author proposes the introduction of demand management for electricity consumption, which will reduce the costs of industrial enterprises that pay for the transport component of purchased electricity at unfavorable tariff configurations.

In the power supply system of industrial enterprises with low installed capacity, a battery of cosine capacitors is used as reactive power compensation devices in most cases. However, in certain modes of operation in such a network due to the presence of electrical receivers, which generate the highest harmonics, there may be resonance phenomena. Therefore, in such a network you should know both the presence of harmonic components and their percentage. It is known that according to GOST 32144-2013 it is necessary to take into account not only the individual harmonic components of the voltage of about 40 harmonics, but also the total ratio of these components. For this reason, the calculation of this parameter in the power supply system of consumers is an urgent task. In this paper the principle of structure of the three-dimensional graph of the total factor of harmonic components of voltage is revealed. The arguments for the dependence of this factor on the most important parameters of the electrical network, such as system short-circuit power, capacitor bank, load consumption are given. The authors have developed an algorithm for creating a three-dimensional graph of the total harmonic voltage components coefficient with the disclosure of the principles of its construction. As an example, the paper presents graphical dependencies: kU = f(SКZ , QBK ); kU = f(SКZ , PNG ); kU = f(QBK , PNG).

The paper considers issues of increasing efficiency of multilevel power converter based on IGCT and IGBT modules to improve energy performance by compensating reactive power in electric networks. By the example of a local power grid using SEMIS SimulationTool design tool the results of calculations of variants of multilevel converters with IGCT and IGBT are presented. The study of possibilities to increase the efficiency of multilevel power converters (MPE) for reactive power compensation (RPC) in local electrical networks (LES) on the basis of plenipotentiary controlled semiconductor cells is of particular interest, because the efficiency of network operation is insufficient, especially in changing load modes with large electric power losses (PEM). And from these positions, one of the most effective tools are fast controlled (PFC) systems. For this purpose, research has been carried out to obtain the best results. Used in calculations tool and methodology are certified software products and algorithms of ABB-SEMIS Simulation Tool computer design.

When calculating the modes of electric networks, an L-shaped circuit is used to replace one phase of the transformer with bringing its parameters to high voltage (HV), neglecting losses in the HV winding. More precisely, they can be taken into account using a T-shaped substitution scheme. In order to determine the error of the use of the L-shaped scheme in comparison with the use of the T-shaped scheme, the method of conditionally constant coefficients (CPC) was used, which was adapted to calculations using the L-shaped substitution scheme. By the method of the CPC, studies of the modes of the module "double-winding transformer - load (DTN)" were carried out in order to determine the error in calculating the total power losses of the transformer when using the L-shaped equivalent circuit in comparison with the T-shaped one. It was shown that the error in calculating losses for a 25 kVA transformer was 2%. The research results presented in this article are recom-mended to be applied in existing electrical networks for a more accurate calculation of modes and losses in transformers when using the L-shaped equivalent circuit

This chapter proposes the interpretation of the concept of “power supply system efficiency” and a mathematical model that focuses on minimization of electricity supply expenses while observing the time criteria. The research examines the constituents of the specified time criteria, the calculations of power outage time, and the time of power supply restoration. In addition, this chapter describes the constituents of implementation time for a technological connection of rural consumers to electric networks and the statistical data on the time of inconsistency between power quality and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, this chapter investigates the applying possibility of the proposed mathematical model for the development of measures that can improve power supply system efficiency. In order to improve electricity supply reliability of rural consumers, the technical condition monitoring of power lines and electrical network automation is carried out.

It is shown that the use of controlled shunt reactors enables, based on ultra-high voltage transmission lines, to create a controlled generation of new generation FACTS types that meet the requirements of modern power systems and combinations. Typical modes of operation of the high-voltage power line with installed controlled shunt reactors are analyzed. The efficiency of the use of controlled shunt reactors as measures of transverse compensation in ultrahigh voltage transmission lines is shown. The article shows that due to a smooth change in the consumption of excess reactive power of the transmission line, the normalization of the voltage values is achieved, and, accordingly, the total power losses are reduced. The problem of increasing the reliability of electricity supply is relevant at the current stage of electric power systems development both in the territory of the Russian Federation and in foreign electric power systems. One of the ways to improve the reliability of electricity supply is to prevent the development of emergency situations on overhead power transmission lines as the most important components of electric power systems, which is confirmed by a substantial number of annual domestic and foreign publications. Preventing the development of emergency situations is largely facilitated by early detecting the signs of emergency modes onset in the functioning of all voltage classes’ electric networks. At the same time, the development of intelligence systems for technical and commercial electricity metering opens up new opportunities for monitoring numerous parameters of different operational modes of electrical networks, including those of 6-10-35 kV voltage with isolated neutral operation mode. Numerous works of author’s teams are devoted to the theoretical analysis of the possibility to early detect the diagnostic signs of emergency signals. However, existing publications do not always present the results of field experimental studies in existing electrical networks on the subject under consideration, which demonstrates some discrepancy between theoretical provisions and the possibility of their practical implementation. The present article attempts to assess the possibility of practical implementing the part of theoretical provisions on early detection of diagnostic signs for emergency regimes and, as a result, increase reliability of electricity supply. At the same time, the article presents the results of the field study the basis of which were used to open up current possibilities of early detecting the diagnostic signs of emergency regimes on the example of individual singling out higher harmonic components of currents and voltages, including when using already existing intelligence electricity metering systems installed in the existing electrical distribution systems with the voltage of 10 kV. At the same time, the article demonstrates implementability and further development of online monitoring of emergency modes in electric networks functioning on the example of identifying a single-phase ground fault, which makes it possible to significantly reduce the costs of temporary and material resources when localizing the single-phase closure zone.

The efficiency of an enterprise’s power supply system depends on the quality of electricity and the losses of the latter in electrical networks; both being largely determined by the modes of voltage control and reactive power compensation. In practice, the problems of voltage control and reactive power compensation in power supply systems of industrial enterprises, including electric networks with a voltage of up to 1 kV, as well as 6, 10 kV and higher, are often solved separately. It triggers an irrational use of existing voltage control devices, underutilization of the installed capacity of compensating devices, and affects the voltage control in the electrical networks of the power supply organization. Since voltage management and compensation modes of reactive power are inseparable, they can be correctly determined only with the use of an integrated approach based on technical and economic criteria and taking into account technical requirements and local conditions. This article analyzes the mutual influence of voltage control and reactive power compensation modes in the electrical networks of industrial enterprises from the point of view of ensuring the quality of electricity and minimizing load power losses. The method and results of calculations (on the example of a specific industrial facility) for determining voltage deviations and losses in the electrical network as well as for selecting parameters for voltage control and reactive power compensation are presented. Due to the close relationship of these modes that affect all voltage levels, the effectiveness of measures cannot be ensured without the use of multifunctional devices for controlling the equipment of transformer substations.

The paper presents the analysis of the data received from the survey of heads of industrial enterprises and also experts-researchers in 2003-2004. The data describe the economic state of enterprises and their position in competitive, administrative, intermediary, financial etc. environment. The assumption of essential heterogeneity of the set of industrial enterprises, including enterprises of the same sector or the same territorial formation is confirmed. It is shown that Russian industrial enterprises as a rule do not feel influence of the stock market situation while the condition of the currency market influences the majority of enterprises. The sensitivity of enterprises depends on their economic situation: the better is the state, the stronger is the influence. Weak influence of the investment and administrative environment on the state of enterprises and negative influence of the activity of intermediary organizations are registered. More than 2/3 of the respondents consider important strengthening of the responsibility of large proprietors for inefficient activity of their enterprises. Lack of the strategic approach in the activity of authorities of all levels is ascertained and the necessity of development and realization of industrial policy at all administrative levels, including the municipal one, is shown.
