The study method uses explanatory survey with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The population in this study, SMEs engaged in the creative industries in West Java, Indonesia with a total of 1,571. With slovin sampling technique obtained 252 respondents. The collected data is then analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of the study show that co-creation has a significant effect on the performance of creative industry SMEs in Indonesia, and the proposed hypothesis is accepted. This finding implies that to win the competition, SMEs must be able to improve their performance through the ability to innovate. Besides that This study implies to improve the performance of creative industry, it is necessary to improve the co-creation process such as increasing across-interactions, increasing the diversity of product options, and facilitating access to information on products.

Individual creativity has been the focus of long-term research in creative industries. However, few studies have explored the impact on individual creativity from social factors. At the same time, the influence of individual creativity on the existence of subsequent factors in the creative industry is also worthy of further investigation. From a social standpoint, this research aims to explore how social norms affect individual creativity, and how individual creativity affects subsequent leadership. The present research takes creative entrepreneurs in creative enterprises as the research objects, and the structural equation model is used to analyze the data obtained from 202 valid questionnaires. Besides, the mediating effect of individual creativity between social norms and individual leadership is verified. The results show that social norms can effectively promote the generation of individual creativity that has a positive impact on both transactional or transformational leadership. It is revealed that social norms are effective tools for enhancing creativity, answering the question of how creative ideas are transformed into creative work and leadership. Individual creativity plays a mediating role between social norms and individual leadership.

This study aims to determine the effect of literacy variables on zakat, infaq and shadaqah (zis), trust and brand awareness on decisions to distribute zakat and donations. The data processing in this study uses quantitative analysis using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis technique with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach using the SmartPLS 3.0 statistical software. The instrument used to obtain data is a questionnaire using a Likert scale. In taking the sample obtained by non-probability sampling method using purposive sampling technique, the sample obtained is 95 respondents at the students of the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. The results of this study indicate that the literacy variable zis has a negative and insignificant effect on the decision to distribute zakat and donations through Tokopedia. The trust variable has a positive and significant effect on the decision to distribute zakat and donations through Tokopedia. The Brand Awareness variable has a positive but not significant effect on the decision to distribute zakat and donations through Tokopedia. Variable literacy zis, trust, brand awareness simultaneously influence the decision to distribute zakat and donations by 66.4%. While the remaining 33.6% is explained by other exogenous variables outside of this study. Keywords: Brand Awareness, Trust, Decision to Distribute Zakat and Donations, Literacy ZIS

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the promotion mix on the decision to purchase Kaluna Living pillows with brand awareness as an intervening variable. The sample in this study was 96 Kaluna Living consumers, where the non-probability technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The independent variable was the promotion mix, while the dependent variables were brand awareness and purchasing decisions. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Model (SEM) with partial least square (PLS) path analysis using the Smart PLS 3.0 software. The results showed that the promotion mix had a positive and significant effect on brand awareness; brand awareness had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions; the promotion mix had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions; and brand awareness was able to mediate part of the influence of the promotion mix on the purchasing decisions with a VAF value of 30.3%. Keywords: promotion mix, brand awareness, purchase decisions, accessories home, creative industries

This study aims to prove the role of Total Quality Management (TQM) and organizational commitment in supporting the achievement of company operational performance. The population was all Convection SMEs in the city of Banda Aceh, consisted of 294 Convection SMEs. The sample was selected using a proportional sampling technique where sampling considers elements or categories in the study population. The sample taken was 15% of the population. One respondent represented one unit of SMEs, so the sample has amounted to 169 respondents. Data was collected using questionnaires. The model was analyzed with the Structural Equation Model Analysis. The result showed an influence between TQM on Organizational Commitment, TQM on Company Operational Performance, and Organizational Commitment on Company Operational Performance. This study also found that organizational commitment can act as a partial mediator to strengthen the effect of TQM on Company operational performance. The interesting issue in this study lies in the discussion of the organizational commitment to solving the inconsistency problems in the quality of convection production in SMEs. Furthermore, the other researchers can provide more concepts and variables to enrich this research model, like other mediators for TQM to achieve performance or even the commitment that can strengthen the TQM and performance. The model also can be a reference for practitioners to set their strategy in further, to go more productive.

Purpose The inception of mobile financial services (MFSs) has positively provoked economic growth and productivity, nonetheless, it has pessimistically caused an upward surge in cybersecurity threat. Customers are progressively becoming conscious of some of the threat and several of them now shun away from some suspicious activities over the internet as a form of protection. This study aims to explore the factors that influence users’ to adopt security behaviour. Design/methodology/approach A synthesis of theories – Self-efficacy and technology threat avoidance theories – was used to examine the security behaviour of users of MFSs. Data was gathered from 530 students in Ghana using convenience sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics and structural equation model. Findings Outcome of the investigation indicate that both mastery experience and verbal persuasion have substantial effect on the avoidance motivation of MFSs users. It was, however, found that emotional state and vicarious experience of users do not influence their avoidance motivation. Also, it was established that avoidance motivation is a positive prognosticator of avoidance behaviour. Practical implications Understanding the security behaviour of MFS users will help the operators to outline strategies to sustain the successes achieved. Originality/value Studies on user security behaviour are rare, especially in sub Saharan Africa, thus, this study will contribute to extant literature by adding a new dimension of user security behaviour.

Purpose The Islamic rural banks have the potential to grow in Indonesia. It is important to learn and study the consumer behaviors toward the Islamic rural banks’ services to plan for future strategies. The purpose of this paper is to test the applicability of the theory of reasoned action in predicting the customers’ decision to use the Islamic rural banks’ services. Design/methodology/approach The descriptive and structural equation model analyses were used to analyze the data. A random sampling technique is adopted with a sample size of 180 consumers of the Islamic rural banks. There are variables to be tested such as Sharia system compliance, product knowledge on Sharia, promotion, services, attitude, subjective norms, intention and customer decisions to use the Islamic rural banks’ services. Findings The results found that the Sharia system compliance, promotion, services, attitude, subjective norms and intention variables have a significant effect on the use of services at Islamic rural banks. Only product knowledge on Sharia variable has been found to be insignificant. Originality/value The model can be used to prepare better strategies to attract more customers as well as increase public awareness toward Islamic rural banks’ products and services. The results are useful as a benchmark for policymakers to improve the establishment of Islamic rural banks particularly in Indonesia.
