Technology Leadership In Malaysian Schools- The Way Forward To Education 4.0

Education 4.0 is the answer to the global needs for the advanced integration of humans and technology. Leading school’s technology utilization can be the way forward to support education 4.0 realization. This study aims to investigate the effects and roles of principals’ technology leadership towards teachers’ ICT utilization and students’ academic performance in secondary schools in Selangor, Malaysia. This empirical study uses a set of questionnaires to gather information from respondents who are in the teaching profession. A total of 310 questionnaires were completed and analyzed. The findings have shown significant positive impacts between the effects of the technology leadership roles of principals on teachers’ effective ICT utilization and students’ academic performance. The integration of ICT and technological tools in schools has a great challenge towards the new era of the Education 4.0 system. This suggests that principals who embrace technology will effectively lead their schools to acquire educational resources to enhance student engagement and learning.

Abstract Purpose of Review Cardiac fibroblast activation contributes to fibrosis, maladaptive remodeling and heart failure progression. This review summarizes the latest findings on cardiac fibroblast activation dynamics derived from single-cell transcriptomic analyses and discusses how this information may aid the development of new multispecific medicines. Recent Findings Advances in single-cell gene expression technologies have led to the discovery of distinct fibroblast subsets, some of which are more prevalent in diseased tissue and exhibit temporal changes in response to injury. In parallel to the rapid development of single-cell platforms, the advent of multispecific therapeutics is beginning to transform the biopharmaceutical landscape, paving the way for the selective targeting of diseased fibroblast subpopulations. Summary Insights gained from single-cell technologies reveal critical cardiac fibroblast subsets that play a pathogenic role in the progression of heart failure. Combined with the development of multispecific therapeutic agents that have enabled access to previously “undruggable” targets, we are entering a new era of precision medicine.

This study has two goals: (a) to assess the contributions of teamwork and demographics to teachers’ motivation to leave the profession and (b) to identify the actions teachers believe they and their principals should take to foster teamwork. A sample of 322 U.S. public school teachers participated. Grade level was found to predict teachers’ motivation to quit. The roles of principals and teachers in fostering teamwork were also discussed.

This article discusses the issues of academic education of foreign language teachers in three different educational systems. It presents them in the context of education culture and school culture, showing their influence on the way of organization and realization of education processes. School and education in general, including university preparation for the teaching profession is a place of developing so-called social capital. Reflection on the way these processes operate plays a key role in the planning and implementation of effective educational activities, using the so-called good practices of each of the systems. In the comparative research, the teacher training programmes in Iran, Germany and Poland are subject to comparative analysis against the framework of European standards for teacher education.

 Against the backdrop of growing national strength and rapid economic development, the government has placed more emphasis on education. In recent years, remarkable achievements have been registered in terms of education in China, which lays a solid foundation for cultivating comprehensive professionally-trained personnel in the new era. However, the current education system is ridden with many setbacks and problems. This paper conducts an analysis of the specific conditions of education both at home and abroad, status quo of education in China, makes some reflections on the direction and measures of China's education reform based on the practical reality of education in China. Measures should be taken to inject personalities into the traditional, exam-oriented education system, which keeps pace with the new era. As is known to all, it's important to strike a balance between public education and non-government funded education in a scientific and reasonable manner. The overhauling of traditional education policies will pave the way for China's educational renaissance and realize the great blueprint of the Chinese dream.

In an attempt to curb-out black money, money laundering, and to have a sound economy, the central government of India has embarked on the cashless economy. By the way it presents itself, the repulsive educational style brings indisputable prejudices to the teachinglearning process, strongly affecting the entire construction of this process, especially the segment that covers the relationship between the teacher and the students. Having the ability to impose itself differently – as something reminiscent of an authoritarian or nomothetic behavioral, distant or impulsive, ultra-reactive or strict, oscillating or detached – the educational style in question is characterized by the fact that it contradicts the rights and duties incumbent on the position of a teacher. In his presence, the school environment collapses, ceasing to present a „suitable environment in which essential connections can be created for the multilateral and harmonious development of the student” or a „space in which the professional competence of the teacher is complementary to the developmental particularities of the student”. Moreover, through the conflicting energies he releases, he distorts the meaning of the teaching profession, obviously contributing to the establishment of didactogeny. Or, as it has been mentioned more than once, in various specialty sources, if the educational style does not resonate with the rights and duties of the pedagogical profession, the didactogeny is predetermined, simply, to become a reality, a state in fact, which must be associated with the big mistakes in the area of the teaching–learning process or, in other words, with the big deviations from what the professional deontology of the teacher means.

Obesity is a worldwide pandemic, which can be fatal for the most extremely affected individuals. Lifestyle interventions such as diet and exercise are largely ineffective and current anti-obesity medications offer little in the way of significant or sustained weight loss. Bariatric surgery is effective, but largely restricted to only a small subset of extremely obese patients. While the hormonal factors mediating sustained weight loss and remission of diabetes by bariatric surgery remain elusive, a new class of polypharmacological drugs shows potential to shrink the gap in efficacy between a surgery and pharmacology. In essence, this new class of drugs combines the beneficial effects of several independent hormones into a single entity, thereby combining their metabolic efficacy to improve systems metabolism. Such unimolecular drugs include single molecules with agonism at the receptors for glucagon, glucagon-like peptide 1 and the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide. In preclinical studies, these specially tailored multiagonists outperform both their mono-agonist components and current best in class anti-obesity medications. While clinical trials and vigorous safety analyses are ongoing, these drugs are poised to have a transformative effect in anti-obesity therapy and might hopefully lead the way to a new era in weight-loss pharmacology.
