The compromise ratio method (CRM) is an effective method to solve multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM). Distance measure of intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) numbers (IFNs) is important for CRM. In this paper, according to the IF distance of IFNs, an extended compromise ratio method (CRM) is developed for (MAGDM) problems which attribute weights and evaluation values of alternatives on attributes are expressed in linguistic variables parameterized using TIFNs. Finally, the effectiveness and practicability of the extended CRM with IF distance are demonstrated by solving a software selection problem.

We propose the interval grey uncertain linguistic correlated ordered arithmetic averaging (IGULCOA) operator and the induced interval grey uncertain linguistic correlated ordered arithmetic averaging (I-IGULCOA) operator based on the correlation properties of the Choquet integral and the interval grey uncertain linguistic variables to investigate the multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems, in which both the attribute weights and the expert weights are correlative. Firstly, the relative concepts of interval grey uncertain linguistic variables are defined and the operation rules between the two interval grey uncertain linguistic variables are established. Then, two new aggregation operators: the interval grey uncertain linguistic correlated ordered arithmetic averaging (IGULCOA) operator and the induced interval grey uncertain linguistic correlated ordered arithmetic averaging (I-IGULCOA) operator are developed and some desirable properties of the I-IGULCOA operator are studied, such as commutativity, idempotency, monotonicity, and boundness. Furthermore, the IGULCOA and I-IGULCOA operators based approach is developed to solve the MAGDM problems, in which both the attribute weights and the expert weights are correlative and the attribute values take the form of the interval grey uncertain linguistic variables. Finally, an illustrative example is given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.

With respect to multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems, in which the attribute weights take the form of real numbers, and the attribute values take the form of intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic variables, a decision analysis approach is proposed. In this paper, we develop an intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic induce OWA (IFLIOWA) operator and analyze the properties of it by utilizing some operational laws of intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic variables. A new method based on the IFLIOWA operator for multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) is presented. Finally, a numerical example is used to illustrate the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method.

The design of mechanism scheme is the primary phase and the creative and challenging part in product lifecycle. In this paper, we research the multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems for evaluating the design of mechanism scheme with uncertain linguistic variables. We employ the uncertain linguistic weighted harmonic mean (ULWHM) operator to aggregate the uncertain linguistic information corresponding to each alternative and get the overall value of the alternatives, then rank the alternatives and select the most desirable one(s) by using the formula of the degree of possibility for the comparison between two uncertain linguistic variables. Finally, a practical example for evaluating the design of mechanism scheme is used to illustrate the developed procedures.

In multiple attribute group decision making, the weights of decision makers are very crucial to ranking results and have gained more and more attentions. A new approach to determining experts’ weights is proposed based on the TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution) method in intuitionistic fuzzy setting. The weights determined by our method have two advantages: the evaluation value has a large weight if it is close to the positive ideal evaluation value and far from negative ideal evaluation values at the same time, otherwise it is assigned a small weight; experts have different weights for different attributes, which are more appropriate for real decision making problems since each expert has his/her own knowledge and expertise. The multiple attribute intuitionistic fuzzy group decision making algorithm has been proposed which is suitable for different situations about the attribute weight information, including the attribute weights are known exactly, partly known and unknown completely. A supplier selection problem and the evaluation of murals in a metro line are finally used to illustrate the feasibility, efficiency and practical advantages of the developed approaches.

This paper extends the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) for solving multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems under triangular intuitionistic fuzzy sets by using its correlation coefficient. In situations where the information or the data is of the form of triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (TIFNs), some arithmetic aggregation operators have to be defined, namely the triangular intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging (TIFOWA) operator and the triangular intuitionistic fuzzy hybrid aggregation (TIFHA) operator. An extended TOPSIS model is developed to solve the MAGDM problems using a new type of correlation coefficient defined for TIFNs based on the triangular intuitionistic fuzzy weighted arithmetic averaging (TIFWAA) operator and the TIFHA operator. With an illustration this proposed model of MAGDM with the correlation coefficient of TIFNs is compared with the other existing methods.

In this paper, Multiple Attribute Group Decision Making (MAGDM) problems in which the data is of the form of Interval Valued Intuitionistic Trapezoidal Fuzzy Numbers (IVITzFNs) is presented. Some operational laws of IVITzFNs are introduced. Then some new aggregation operators including interval valued Intuitionistic Trapezoidal Fuzzy Weighted Averaging (IVITzFWA) operator, interval valued Intuitionistic Trapezoidal Fuzzy Ordered Weighted Averaging (IVITzFOWA) operator and Interval Intuitionistic Trapezoidal Fuzzy Hybrid Averaging (IVITzFHA) operator, are proposed and some desirable properties of these operators are studied, such as Commutativity, Idempotency and Monotonicity. A new distance function and correlation coefficient are proposed for IVITzFNs which will be utilized for ranking the alternatives in MAGDM problems. Finally, numerical illustrations are given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.

This paper presents a novel approach based on the intuitionistic fuzzy combined ordered weighted averaging (IFCOWA) operator to solve multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems under fuzzy environment. Firstly, we introduce the new methods for determining the attribute weights and the order inducing variable of the proposed operator. With the intuitionistic fuzzy cross-entropy of aggregated attribute value to the optimum and the poorest information measures, the sort vector is constructed to derive the weights of attributes. Moreover, the order inducing variable of the attributes is obtained from their score values, by which the inducing order is roughly determined. Finally, two numerical examples about the venture investment problems are illustrated to demonstrate the applicability and efficiency of the raised approach in group decision making problem.

In this paper, we consider multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems in which the attribute values take the form of intuitionistic uncertain linguistic variables. Based on Hamacher operations, we developed several Hamacher aggregation operators, which generalize the arithmetic aggregation operators and geometric aggregation operators, and extend the algebraic aggregation operators and Einstein aggregation operators. A number of special cases for the two operators with respect to the parameters are discussed in detail. Also, we developed an intuitionistic uncertain linguistic generalized Hamacher hybrid weighted average operator to reflect the importance degrees of both the given intuitionistic uncertain linguistic variables and their ordered positions. Based on the generalized Hamacher aggregation operator, we propose a method for MAGDM for intuitionistic uncertain linguistic sets. Finally, a numerical example and comparative analysis with related decision making methods are provided to illustrate the practicality and feasibility of the proposed method.

Based on the definition of 2-dimension linguistic information of multiple attribute decision making problems proposed by Zhu, Zhou and Yang (2009), the information on evaluation is extended to 2-dimension uncertain linguistic variables, and a new method is proposed to solve the multiple-attribute group decision making problems in which the attribute values take the form of 2-dimension uncertain linguistic variables and the attribute weights are unknown. Firstly, the II class of uncertain linguistic information is transformed into the subjective weights of the experts, and then the subjective weights, the similarity degree of experts’ evaluation information and authority weights are aggregated to the comprehensive weights of each expert. By the comprehensive weights, the group decision making matrix is produced by weighting evaluation information of each expert. Then the maximum deviation method is used to calculate the attribute weights and TOPSIS method is proposed to rank the alternatives. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the decision-making steps and the effectiveness of this method.
