In view of the existing problems in traditional experiment teaching of mechanical engineering curriculums of high school, the method of virtual experiment teaching is proposed in this paper, which aims at developing students creative thinking and enhancing their innovation ability. According to the two aspects of the teaching method and its realization, the various experiments are designed based on virtual design and computer simulation. The results show the proposed virtual experiment teaching method improves students' creative thinking, stimulates students' enthusiasm and creativity, enhances students' overall understanding on mechanical system, and has received good learning effect.

The virtual simulation experiment framework consists of hardware and software function modules, which are both designed in this thesis. The application of virtual experiment framework has changed the traditional teaching method to a large extent, reduced the cost of laboratory construction and management, which is of the first importance to realize the remote experiment teaching. Through virtual experiments, students' interest in knowledge is cultivated and innovation ability is enhanced. With the National Instruments Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (NI ELVIS) and LabVIEW, we could take advantage of graphical programming and a complete suite of standard test instruments on computer and directly interface these instruments to circuits, which is the base of virtual experiment framework.

Today, the problem of virtual design, modeling and testing of mobile robots prior to their direct implementation «in the metal» is quite urgent. The article reviews the technologies used for this purpose and discusses the approach to creating specialized software complexes aimed at solving existing problems in existing technologies. The concept of the program is proposed for modeling problems of structure and behavior of mobile robots with elements of artificial intelligence, intended to support search and rescue operations in a combination of environments (air, ground, underwater) and for the professional training of relevant specialists.

The method of consultative instruction is promising for training of bachelors, masters and specialists, who possess professional competences. This method involves the active use of modern gadgets in the learning process of students. The professional competences of a specialist - readiness or ability to rationally and productively use knowledge, skills, habits, methods of activity, necessary for their professional sphere. The advisory teaching method is being tested for the teaching of future bachelors in the Department of Automated machine tools and tooling systems in the Samara State Technical University. The method is used for the preparation of laboratory lessons in such disciplines as Fundamentals of Computer Graphics and Computer simulation. These courses were selected for the experiment, since the curriculum sets out only four- hour laboratory works. The teacher gives theoretical input on the construction of sketches, drawings, models, parts and units from the moment the computer is switched on and the program for the simulation is started until the end of the laboratory work. The article highlights the positive aspects of the method of advisory training both for teachers and for students. The author specifies some restrictions for use of the advisory training method. The experiment has shown that while doing laboratory work the students were much more motivated, productive and creative.

Abstract. Orienteering, a map activity, has been described as effective in learning geography in school education. When dealing with orienteering in school education, it is learning outdoors different from ordinary classroom lessons. Also, the environment surrounding school education differs from country to country. From this, it is important to show the practice of orienteering in school education in each country. In this research, I described the practice of orienteering in geography education of Japanese high schools in the following three viewpoints. The three viewpoints are the significance of orienteering in geography education, learning system of orienteering in geography education, examples of orienteering in geography education at school. The main points are as follows.

The skills given by orienteering are the basis of map learning and field learning in geography education.

Learning system of orienteering is related to the map learning and field learning perspective, such as related to the map-scale linked with place.

Orienteering practice in regular geography class at school grounds is the core, and good learning effect can be obtained. After this, orienteering can be expanded in a wide variety of directions.

The purpose of this research is to measure the effectiveness of constructivist learning approach in structural study specifically for architecture students. Theoretically, improving student’s performance in mathematics is challenging for today education. In architectural education, structural study is part of the non- design courses in the syllabus under the area of technology and environment and it involve in mathematical calculations. In the context of typical classrooms that adopt conventional teaching method, students are usually taught using structured rules based on the given academic syllabus. However, teaching architecture students need a different approach. This is because architecture students learn by understanding the application into practice rather than by only solving the principleproblem. Purposive sampling which is the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (TTCT) was selected as the method of the study and teaching experiment was conducted. In the experimental structural design, 26 groups of architecture students were tested based on two situations; pre-test (original) and post-test (change), and tests are conducted according to the stages and times set for each topic. The experiment was designed based on the Constructivist learning approach as foundation of the experiment to study the mathematical creativity of the students. The findings show that there are positive impacts on creativity in the subject of structural study which beneficially affects their understanding and application abilities. Further research needs to done to ensure this beneficial outcome can be greatly support students’ long-term retention of knowledge and skills. Keywords: Constructivist learning approach, Creativity in mathematical thinking, and Experimental study for architecture students

The paper generally presents about integrating soft skills into teaching by using experience-based teaching method. This method is the process in which the teacher plays the roles of organizing, guiding, orienting and implementing activities with learners, helping learners to find new knowledge, values and capabilities. That new knowledge and capacity continue to be verified in the process of experiencing reality, solving tasks posed by teacher, and then sharing the knowledge that has just been acquired with their friends and lecturer. Therefore, learners will be more receptive. Through the article, the authors would like to share teaching methods via practical experience in teaching specialized subjects of Mechanical Engineering to help students have more opportunities to experience, to apply the knowledge into reality, thence, forming skills and practical capacity as well as promoting the creative potential of the learners themselves.

In order to ensure successful innovative development of Latvian mechanical engineering and metalworking industry, quality of human resources is one of the important task. First of all, it is necessary to name health of people working in the industry. In Latvia a number of occupational diseases increased, with the greatest growth taking place in manufacturing industry, integral part of which is the engineering and metalworking industry. The problem of accidents at work is also urgent, the number of diseases caused by growing stress. Taking into consideration difficult demographic situation in Latvia and the existing problems in labor market, this situation requires special attention. In the article, the author substantiates the importance and prospects of the development of health tourism as an important factor in maintaining the health and working ability of workers in engineering industry.
