Gearbox load spectrum is the data basis for gearbox fatigue life prediction and strength verification. As the amount of load spectrum data increases exponentially and the demand for sharing increases, it is necessary to introduce database technology to store and manage load spectrum data. In this paper, the collection and processing of load data and the compilation of load spectrum are introduced in turns firstly. Then it sums the development and research status of database technology and the technical route of combining load spectrum database up secondly. Moreover, the current status of load spectrum database and the design steps of load spectrum database are summarized. Finally, the development trend of load spectrum database research is generalized and the prospect is put forward.

In today's world, there are several most authoritative international academic conferences in the fi eld of databases,such as vldb, sigmod, and icde, which provide a platform for discussion and exchange of database researchers,developers and applications, Guide and promote the development of database disciplines. We can see the hotspots oftoday’s database technology and discover the future trends of related topics from the researchers at these conferences.First, we analyzed the vldb and sigmod conferences in 2008, 2009 and 2010 accepted the core database technology onthe paper. We also cite the 'Observation on Database Research Trends via Publication Statistics' for statistics on thesetwo meetings from 1997 to 2006. We classify the paper into 28 classes, of which 22 are based on traditional databasetechniques and the other six classes are new categories that we added during the analysis. Then, we predicted that sixnew categories will be popular and become a new hotspot in the future, which is a major feature of this article. Finally,we analyze the trend of database technology hotspots in recent years, and deduce the development trend of futuredatabase technology.

This paper uses scientific metrology methods to analyse the current status and the development trend of the research paper output of NWPU (Northwestern Polytechnical University) based on the Incites database from 1981 to 2014. The result shows that the research publications have increased notablely. Whereas, there still has some problems need to be solved, such as low quality and non-widely distributed subject areas. This paper hereby proposes some advice that NWPU should, starting with perfecting the research evaluation mechanism, improve the internationalization level and international influence while encourage the coordinated development of new-rising subjects and interdisciplines.

Purpose During the running of automobile, the stabilizer bar is frequently subjected to the impact of complex random loads, which is prone to fatigue failure and accident. In regard to this, the purpose of this paper is to study and discuss fatigue life of automobile stabilizer bar. Design/methodology/approach Durability bench test shows that failure is located at the joint of sleeve and stabilizer bar body. Based on the collection and compilation of micro-strain load spectrum of the stabilizer bar, the strain-life model is studied considering the influence of average stress and maximum stress at failure area. Seven-grade strain-life curves of the stabilizer bar are established. According to the principle of linear damage accumulation, the relationship between fatigue life and damage is discussed, then the fatigue life of stabilizer bar is predicted. Fatigue life evaluation is carried out from three aspects: reliability analysis, static analysis and fatigue life simulation. Findings The results show that the reliability of the test sample is 99.9 percent when the confidence is 90 percent and the durability is 1,073 load spectrum cycles; the ratios of predicted and simulated life to design life are 2.77 and 2.30, respectively. Originality/value Based on the road load characteristics of automobile stabilizer bar, the method of fatigue life prediction and evaluation is discussed, which provides a basis for the design and development of automobile chassis components.

In the field of mechanical equipment manufacturing, the focus of research and development is not on weight reduction, but on how to choose between the rigidity and performance of components (such as strength or flexibility). For this contradiction, lightweight is one of the best solutions. The problems associated with lightweight were initially considered and systematically studied in aircraft manufacturing in engineering. Therefore, lightweight has been greatly developed in aviation research and has played an increasingly important role in construction machinery. This paper presents a brief description of the current status of lightweight in machinery by reviewing some significant progress made in the last decades. Potential research topics are also discussed from the four aspects of material, structure, bionics, and manufacturing, and they forecast the development trend of lightweight in the future construction machinery. The entire body of literature about the field is not covered due to the limitation of the length of paper. The scope of this review is limited and closely related to the development of lightweight technology in engineering applications.

This paper summarizes the rubber component's fatigue life research methods, mainly includes the crack nucleation method, the crack propagation method and the S-N curve method, sums up the these methods from different angels of fatigue life, and various methods based on the choices are given; Based on the working conditions and fatigue failure evaluation criteria to choose the appropriate design calculation method, in order to achieve relatively accurate results of fatigue life prediction and simplify the calculation, and separately summarized FEM used in the rubber fatigue life on the application and progress in the recent stage.

AbstractThe fatigue life prediction method of a low pressure turbine shaft of the turbojet engine is presented. According to working conditions and assembled conditions of the turbojet engine, load types, load values and constraints of the turbine shaft are analyzed. ANSYS software is employed to simulate actual working conditions to obtain stress-strain distributions of the low pressure turbine shaft. Finally, based on stress-strain curves and surface quality, the fatigue life of the low-pressure turbine shaft is calculated with the modified local stress-strain method and the linear cumulative fatigue damage model.

In the present work, a probabilistic framework for fatigue life prediction and reliability assessment of an engine high pressure turbine disc is proposed to incorporate the effects of load variations and mean stress, which provides a reference for engine structural design under a given target failure probability. Within this framework, a new probabilistic fatigue damage accumulation model under random loadings is elaborated based on a ductility exhaustion model, and probabilistic [Formula: see text] curves for the high pressure turbine disc under different flight missions are derived based on experimental data of turbine disc alloy GH4169. The influence of random load variations on fatigue reliability of the high pressure turbine disc has been investigated and quantified by combining the engine load spectrum with finite element analysis.

China is a country with a large production of industrial electric detonator, whose annual production capacity has reached 3.7 billion, but its level of production technology is still low especially in industrial electric detonator assembly production and most of processes are by manual operation, leading to its low techniques and poor production conditions. Through in-depth analysis of the current status of the production process of electric detonators£¬this article summed up the bottleneck problem of industrial electric detonator assembly automation, compared the degree of automation of industrial electric detonator production at home and abroad, finally this paper discusses the development trend of industrial electric detonator production.
