Indonesia is a pluralistic nation because it consists of various races, languages, cultures, and religions. Diversity has the potential for horizontal conflict in society. Jesus commanded that Christians manifest love for others as well as for themselves. Sincere love will create harmony and harmony with others regardless of the differences in it. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method through exploring literature related to the topic and using parallel biblical texts that describe how believers carry out their call to live in harmony and at the same time carry out a Christian mission to save those who do not believe in Christ. From this research, it is concluded that the Christian mission is the application of the love of Christ. Love is the basis in society to foster tolerance and mutual respect for the rights of everyone, including belief. This reality must change the paradigm and practice of modern Christian mission. Christian mission must stick to the Bible which affirms that faith in Christ is an absolute requirement of salvation. Therefore, there is no reason for the believer or the church not to carry out this missionary command by maintaining religious harmony so that it can be a blessing for those who do not know Christ.

The divorce rate in Indonesia is increasingly showing a significant upward trend. Therefore, this study aims to describe the factors of divorce, the response of Lakit and the church to the divorce. Divorce doesn't just happen. Divorce is triggered by various factors. These factors are used as justification for conducting a divorce. Those reasons are used as the basis for suing and carrying out a divorce. The Bible is against divorce. God hates divorce. God never designed a marriage for divorce. Biblical marriage is marriage for life. Marriage must be built on a strong foundation, namely love. Like the bond of love between Christ and His church, so is the bond of husband and wife in a marriage. The church is in line with the Bible / Word of God, does not tolerate divorce. The church must strive to prevent its people from divorcing. Because divorce does not solve problems, but in Christ and His love all problems that arise in marriage can be resolved. He is in Christ and in His love there must be a way out. The method used by researchers in this writing is descriptive qualitative by using literature sources that support the writing of this article. Hopefully the results of this research can be a reference for pastors and churches and people to solve every problem in marriage wisely so that it doesn't end in divorce.

The purpose of the Bible itself is to enable human to understand God and His will. Therefore, it is vital to be translated to languages so that individuals can read and understand His Word. However, the translation of the Bible to other languages often meets difficulties due to differences in diction between the source language and the target languages. Besides, one word in a language may have different senses which are related and dynamic. The goal of this research is to find the appropriate translation of the word gunh in Paul’s letter, specifically 1 Chorintian 14:34-35 and 1 Timothy 2:11-12 and to find the position of women’s leadership in the church. The research is carried out using descriptive-qualitative method focusing in elaborating the diction found in different translations of the Bible, such as Greek, English and Bahasa Indonesia. The finding shows that the translation of the word gunh  in Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia (LAI) is not accurate. Instead of translating the word gunh  to wife, the institution translate the word into women in general. The recommend that LAI edit the translation of the Bible and that the church leader allow women to be leader in the congregation.

The doctrine of inspiration grounds Christian use and interpretation of Scripture, making this doctrine at once theoretical and practical. Many theoretical accounts, however, restrict the “inspired” status of biblical texts to a single text-form, which introduces problems for the practical use of Scripture in view of the texts’ historical multiformity. This article argues that such restrictions of inspiration are theologically problematic and unnecessary. Contextualizing inspiration within the divine revelatory economy, this article argues that the Spirit’s same goals and varied activities in the texts’ composition obtain also in their preservation, so that we can consider multiple forms of a text to be inspired while acknowledging that not all forms are inspired to equal ends in the history and life of the church. The article concludes with hermeneutical reflections affirming that we, today, can read the “word of the Lord” while also affirming the place of textual criticism in theological interpretation.

The pastor cannot be separated from his ministry life. In the church, the pastor is a leader, the attitudes and actions of pastors are often imitated by their congregation. Therefore, the pastor must maintain the attitudes and actions of his congregation as well as possible, the most important thing is that he must be able to set an example for others. For this reason, this article describes Paul's life teaching in serving as the goal in this writing which is beneficial for the implementation of the shepherd in serving God and others. Using descriptive qualitative method with literature study and analysis approach. We found the fact that there are two models of Ruwatan done by Javanese Christians. We give the terms with Javanese Christians A and B. Javanese Christians A do Ruwatan as in general, namely the style of Yogyakarta and Surakarta. While the Javanese Christian B performs Ruwatan that has been contextualized in the form of bidston/ pandonga worship. The Church and GKJ Priests themselves support the Ruwatan model carried out by Javanese Christian B which presents Jesus as the Human Guardian. In conclusion after being reviewed in christian Ethics, the Ruwatan carried out by Javanese Christian A cannot be justified in terms of both the motive and the action. Contrary, the Javanese Christianity B can be accepted and implemented because it is not in conflict with the Bible. Following some general remarks on recent significant trends in biblical studies, I note that these will exacerbate the gulf between church and academy with respect to biblical interpretation. A brief introduction to the official documents of the Church of Scotland shows that they provide little indication of how the Bible should be interpreted as a document of the church. In view of the ideological nature of many of the biblical texts an argument against too ready recourse to theological interpretation is outlined.

In 1848 Horace Bushnell delivered a lecture at Yale College entitled “The Divinity of Christ,” in which he set forth, for the first time, his views on the doctrine of the Trinity. A year later, this lecture and two others (“The Atonement” and “Dogma and Spirit”) appeared in a book entitled God in Christ. The book was prefaced with a preliminary dissertation on language. Almost immediately the critics assailed Bushnell for his Sabellian views on the Trinity. The Christian Observatory charged him with rejecting the “… commonly received doctrine of a proper Trinity in the Godhead, substituting for it a Pantheistic form of Sabellianism.” The Bible Repertory and Princeton Review, concurring in this judgment, indicated that “This, true enough, is the Sabellianism of Schleiermacher—a threefold revelation of God in the world, in Christ, and in the church.”
