Almost all countries of the world are involved in the migration process, and Uzbekistan is no exception. While our country is involved in the international migration process, including labor migration, one of the main factors is the large number of young workers and the underdeveloped domestic labor market. Therefore, our citizens are working abroad in the world labor market.

In the context of globalization, all world economies unite, interact and develop in a single system of production. However, the world economy largely depends on the formation and development of the world labor market. Thus, migration is one of the main mechanisms and factors affecting individual countries and the world economy as a whole. With the intensification of globalization processes, the demand for staff of different levels of qualification in the labor market is met by the supply of workers, regardless of the country in which they live. This phenomenon leads to international labor migration. Despite the fact that the migration of highly qualified personnel leads to intellectual decline and lack of educated population in the country from which workers migrate. Instead, the uncontrolled migration of low-skilled personnel in the host country can lead to a sharp rise in unemployment among the local population, criminal offenses, social discontent of citizens, which will negatively affect the authority of the state in the world. Therefore, the study of the system of regulation of migration processes and the introduction of ways to improve it will help harmonize the socio-economic situation in the world and make migration more profitable and safe for countries and its citizens. The article reflects the main modern trends in international migration processes: the directions of external labor migration, the scale of the departure of labor migrants to different countries, determined the reasons for such tendencies. In the course of the research, the methods by which these processes are regulated to improve the economies of countries and the safety of labor migrants are considered. The article also describes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mobility of Ukrainian citizens and methods of overcoming the consequences of this impact. The activities described in the article related to migration and population mobility will mitigate the long-term impact of the pandemic, help strengthen the protection of Ukrainian citizens abroad, as well as expand the opportunities for their socio-economic integration into local communities.


The factors influencing the intensification of the migration process have been considered since the appearance of the first migration theories. These factors determine both the potential migration opportunities and the actual conditions for the implementation of the migration process. Among the main factors that determine the intensity of the migration process, basic are the factors formed by the labor market (economic factors). Despite a number of migration theories that consider other factors, such as the demand structure, psychological and social factors, we determine the impact of precisely the economic factors (factors formed in the labor market) as the most significant. In today’s world, when determining the intensity and main directions of migration, the economic factors are taken into account by the majority of migrants. At the same time, indirect factors play an important role in the analysis of the migration process. Indirect factors, determining the basic conditions for the intensification of the migration process, form the potential for migration. Potential migration opportunities form an environment that determines the potential number of migrants. Indirect factors include not only the parameters of the development of the national economy as a whole, but also the parameters of the development of individual regions or territories that form the migration attractiveness of these regions.

The author explores the impact of the global economic crisis on labor migration dynamics through the cases of developed states. It is concluded that the phases of the economic cycle exert different impact on the development of overall migration status in each leading country of the world. This means that a connection between these two processes is not rigid and unambiguous.

The author believes that the world labor market should be perceived as a taxonomic unit limited in its scope by the features of the national labor markets and, at the same time, having the incentives to expand as a result of the increasingly powerful factors of globalization. The key challenges to the global labor market are associated with the acceleration of the transnationalization of capital, with the changes in foreign trade, and with the increased international migration. All these global factors exert unambiguous impact on the jobs, the wages and the productivity in the national economies. Their impact on the economies of developed and developing countries varies considerably. Much will depend on the external economic strategy and the readiness of national labor markets to counter the external challenges.

The labor market in Kazakhstan, as it is changing around the world and is probably transforming beyond recognition in a year. A pandemic dictates its own rules to the labor market: many companies have begun to cut staff costs, parting even with valuable employees. In conditions of forced self-isolation during the coronavirus epidemic, for many people, the problem of employment came first. People working in quarantined sectors are left without means of subsistence and are forced to look for a place in other areas. The decline in quantitative indicators since the beginning of March is observed in almost all sectors. Previously, it was possible to work for decades by the same standards, but now approaches to work change several times a year. In conditions when many competencies quickly become obsolete, “flexible skills” come to the fore - logical and critical thinking, creativity, adaptability to changes, the ability to build relationships with people and solve complex problems. The pandemic will bring significant changes to the labor market. According to the authors, self-development and the acquisition of new skills will be the only trend in the modern labor market. In order to successfully overcome the crisis, it is necessary to provide affordable financing for business and the public. In the conditions of this kind of crisis, it is necessary to increase the responsibility and coordination of all state bodies and their orientation towards job creation and employment. To this end, it is proposed to strengthen the functions of state bodies in facilitating information support to business in times of crisis. It is also necessary to ensure the complete digitalization of public services and the provision of high-quality and relevant data on the labor market to the population.

The purpose of this article is to discuss the implications of the professional qualification for the inclusion of young graduates of residential care in the labor market. Noteworthy is the analysis of professional qualification category, which should also be seen as social, and how this had its planning and execution affected by the metamorphoses of the world of work. Such metamorphoses also had strong repercussions in the insertion of young workers in the labor market. At this juncture will discuss the difficulties and challenges encountered by the worker and the implications of the professional qualification in that process, especially through the experiences and experiences reported by young people interviewed. The study was essentially qualitative, in his methodological approach to conducting a semi-structured interviews with young graduates and employees of the institution, a questionnaire with these young people and literature. Finally, it is stated that there are many challenges to be faced by young people who were in institutional care; these challenges involve several repercussions on the life of this young graduate, among them the inclusion of difficulties in community life and in the labor market.

International migration characterizes contemporary social and economic life. As governments around the world take on this reality, they face the challenge of developing effective cooperation in this area. Migration is closely linked to the broader global transformations of the economic spheres, social, political and technological problems that affect a wide variety of political problems at a high level, and labor migration responds to the challenges posed by these changes that require presence of foreign workers in industrialized countries. Most migrants respond to employment problems and, in this regard, the International Labor Organization has been particularly concerned about employment prospects and migratory flows.

Fast-growing international migration as a factor of labor market globalization is an important trend of the world economy and a determinant of social-political transformations. The study of fundamental economical reasons for international migration is relevant due to their prognostic, predictable, and normative potential, which can be used in conditions of global economic non-stability. This chapter analyzes the role of natural resources, financial, and labor factors in economic growth of the modern states and studies relationships between stimulating the role of natural resources, finance, and labor with levels of modern countries' economy development. Based on achieved results findings about fundamental reasons of international migration, transformation of labor factor's role in providing an economical progress of the states, efficiency of positive impact of manufacturing factors (domestic and attracted from international markets) are offered.

In recent decades, the impact of international migration on world economic and political processes has increased significantly. Today, international labor migration of the population is one of the most important components of modern processes in the world economy, along with the other components, such as capital flow, goods, technologies and information. Globalization of the world economy has led to new trends in the processes associated with the international migration of labor, requiring scientific study. The object of the article is the modern processes of international labor migration. The aim of the work is to identify and analyze the main trends in international labor migration and its economic consequences. The author used the methods of statistical analysis, analysis of domestic and foreign scientific literature, and the data synthesis. The paper examines the main trends in international labor migration such as an increase in the demographic significance of international migration in the demographic development of economically developed countries, an increase in illegal migration, an increase in the composition of migration flows of highly qualified workers and the proportion of women in the number of international migrants. The article analyzes the economic impact of international labor migration on the economies of countries exporting and importing labor resources. The article concludes that migration will increase in the near future due to three reasons: persisting inequality between rich and poor countries, political and ethnic conflicts in a number of regions and the creation of new free trade zones that will facilitate labor mobility. The conclusions and recommendations of this study may be of interest to researchers and practitioners in addressing labor migration issues in Russia and other countries.

This article discusses aspectsand integration characteristics of international migration in the world and regions. Based on statistical information, the main trends of the migration movement and prospects for the development of the labor market are determined. The author analyzed the data on priority country directions of labor migration from Uzbekistan and the state of money transfers on aglobal, regional and national scale. Information on domestic legal policy and ratified internationalagreements is summarized.
