The belief that soccer offers black Britons an avenue of social mobility is challenged in this study. Examination of their involvement reveals that blacks have suffered both overt and tacit discrimination. Subject to racial abuse from spectators, black Britons also appear to experience a process of “stacking” apparently related to the concept of centrality. In conducting this study, research data and methodologies from North America and Britain were combined, and the concept of centrality was refined in order to apply it to soccer. The evidence supports the contention that blacks are assigned to positions by white managers on the basis of racial stereotypes of abilities. Future research needs to examine this dimension more closely.

ABSTRACTThe development of BUMDes in Indonesia occurred after the issuance of Law No. 4 of 2015. This development is not only judged by the units formed but the number of studies as well. The development of BUMDes research has occurred significantly, this brings new needs so that these developments can be communicated. Bibliometrics are used to communicate the development of a discipline for further research needs. This study aims to map the development of research related to BUMDes from 2015-2020. The summary of this research is expected to be the starting point for further research in BUMDes studies. The research method used is quasi qualitative with bibliometric analysis. The research data is in the form of articles collected from the crossref meta data from 2015-2020. Filtering articles using the keywords "bumdes" and "village owned enterprises" and journals must be indexed on SINTA or SCOPUS. The results of this study indicate that of the 223 articles collected, 105 articles have been indexed in SINTA and 2 research articles have been indexed by SCOPUS. Trends in accounting research topics (2015-2020) are finance and management, and the potential for further research is related to the study of effective governance for BUMDes.Keywords: Bibliometric; BUMDes; Research Opportunities; Research Trends; SINTA ABSTRAKPerkembangan BUMDes di Indonesia terjadi setelah dikeluarkannya UU No. 4 Tahun 2015. Perkembangan ini bukan hanya dinilai dari unit yang terbentuk melainkan jumlah penelitian juga. Increase in traffic density increases air pollution. Air pollution affects plant life physiologically, for the long run it could be morfologically, one of whichs is the stomatal characters. This research aimed to determine the influence of traffic density difference to the stomatal characteristic of Tanjung leaves (Mimusops elengi L.) in Mataram City. Sampling was carried out on 4 designated locations including the Unram Library (control) that has no traffic density, Jl. Dr. Sudjono (Low traffic), Jl. Ahmad Yani and Jl. Majapahit (high traffic). The method used was Post ex Facto, Purposive sampling. The measured parameters included the number of stomata, the number of open and closed stomata, the stomatal index, the stomatal size and the aperture size of the stomata. The research data was analyzed in a qualitative description and in a quantitative description using analysis of Varian (ANOVA). The results showed that the traffic density reduces the number of stamata as well as their size, the number of opended and increased the number of closed stomata, increases stomatal index due to stomatal damage and reduces stomatal aperture in Mataram city. It is concluded that traffic density affects stomatal haracter tanjung plant. Thrence, this finding reveals that stomatal character of tnajnjung plant can be used as air pollution bioindicator.

Trust is fragile. The 2018 Facebook and Cambridge Analytica debacles highlighted how data harvested from social media platforms can be used not only for commercial purposes but also for political manipulation. This incident and the widespread discussion around it further demonstrated the following issues: unethical data collection enabled by a platform; unethical use of data for corporate and political interest; and unethical data sharing by an academic. Research needs to be credible to maintain social license. Data is the lifeblood of research. For research to remain credible, research needs to remain fundamentally ethical and research methods comprising data collection and data analysis need to be robust, transparent, repeatable, and auditable. Such methods alone cannot create credibility, but research data infrastructure design and implementation can provide a foundation for credibility by addressing these fundamental processes. Social science research has traditionally relied on data collection methods such as surveys, interviews, and ethnographic observations. However, an increasing proportion of human life is being mediated by online platforms, with approximately 2.3 billion active users on Facebook and 326 million active users on Twitter (Statista 2019). Social media data collection and analysis have become imperative for researchers interested in various phenomena playing out in these new media. This paper discusses the current state and issues of social media data collection and describes the Digital Observatory’s approach to establishing a credible and trusted research data infrastructure.

AbstractObjectiveThe goal is to develop a standardized informatics computing system that can support end-to-end research data lifecycle management for biomedical research applications.Materials and MethodsDesign and implementation of biomedical research informatics computing system (BRICS) is demonstrated. The system architecture is modular in design with several integrated tools: global unique identifier, validation, upload, download and query tools that support user friendly informatics system capability.ResultsBRICS instances were deployed to support research for improvements in diagnosis of traumatic brain injury, biomarker discovery for Parkinson’s Disease, the National Ophthalmic Disease Genotyping and Phenotyping network, the informatics core for the Center for Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine, the Common Data Repository for Nursing Science, Global Rare Diseases Patient Registry, and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Clinical Informatics system for trials and research.DiscussionData deidentification is conducted by using global unique identifier methodology. No personally identifiable information exists on the BRICS supported repositories. The Data Dictionary provides defined Common Data Elements and Unique Data Elements, specific to each of the BRICS instance that enables Query Tool to search through research data. All instances are supported by the Medical Imaging Processing, statistical analysis R, and Visualization software program.ConclusionThe BRICS core modules can be easily adapted for various biomedical research needs thereby reducing cost in developing new instances for additional biomedical research needs. It provides user friendly tools for researchers to query and aggregate genetic, phenotypic, clinical and medical imaging data. Data sets are findable, accessible and reusable for researchers to foster new research on various diseases.

The effectiveness of amplification for infants and children can be mediated by how much the child uses the device. Existing research suggests that establishing hearing aid use can be challenging. A wide range of factors can influence hearing aid use in children, including the child's age, degree of hearing loss, and socioeconomic status. Audiological interventions, including using validated prescriptive approaches and verification, performing on-going training and orientation, and communicating with caregivers about hearing aid use can also increase hearing aid use by infants and children. Case examples are used to highlight the factors that influence hearing aid use. Potential management strategies and future research needs are also discussed.
