Abstract: In the present work we analyzed the social function of the Physical Education and the sport with respect to the elderly people. AbstractDance is the art of expressively moving the body following rhythmic movements, usually to the sound of music. ABSTRACT Objective: to understand the representational content about HIV/AIDS among seropositive elderly people. Method: a qualitative study carried out from April to May 2017, in the city of Recife/PE, with 48 seropositive elderly people, through a semi-structured interview. The Social Representations Theory was used as theoretical framework and the method of lexical analysis through IRAMUTEQ software. Results: it was observed that the social representation of HIV is structured around the proximity of death and that it is a disease of restricted groups, leading to feelings of sadness. On the other hand, it is evident a transformation of the representation linked to the reified knowledge, leading to the process of naturalization of the disease. Final considerations: it is concluded that the elderly living with HIV, when they undergo a process of reframing about the disease, become more flexible to deal with their condition of seropositivity.

ABSTRACTMany of the actions we take in everyday life respond to social and imaginary representations that socially established, widespread and played by institutions such as family and school, reading is not an exception, and influences such how the main actors, students and teachers which translates into small and large actions within the institution which conducted the study which referred to in this document. In turn the institution is a sample of the fabric of the social imaginary that is shared in the country and the proof is not only the indicators but the belief systems. The objective of this research was aimed to finding the social representations that UES students have about reading and how these meanings in individuals permeate their actions and beliefs. It was also concluded that systems of beliefs and actions are not autonomous but are immersed and are part of the social and institutional dynamics and shared with other actors such as teachers. For the analysis we used some concepts in the theoretical approaches of Castoriadis, Moscovici and Bourdieu. The research methodology was mixed and two survey instruments and focus group interview students by two academic units of the State University of Sonora in Mexico were used. Contacto principal: [email protected]

Abstract OBJECTIVE To analyze the social representations of the body among Brazilian and Costa Rican transsexual people through their life stories. METHOD Qualitative and descriptive multicenter research. The study population consisted of 70 participants. Two organizations cooperated to collect the information, one in Florianópolis, SC-Brazil and one in San José, the capital of Costa Rica. Content Analysis was used to analyze the data. RESULTS Based on the results, a single social representation of corporeality was unveiled: “Modeled bodies: about the elasticity of corporeality”. This representation described two clear elementary context units (discourse matrices). The first associates the body with an inconclusive, transitory, volatile, pliable, moldable and fluid object, while the second relates the body with a separate institution, but regulated and controlled by others. CONCLUSION In conclusion, the transsexual body is a volatile, transient, transformable institution, crossed by the marks of a historicizing and historicizable time, which comes within the scope not only of what can be named by means of linguistic signs, but also of what belongs to the unnamable in terms of sociocultural perceptions and feelings.

Abstract. In this paper, the autobiographical story is used to know the relationship between Physical Education (PE) and each one of the students from a second grade group of the degree in primary education. Specifically, they were asked to write two stories, one before and another after they had taken the core subject of didactics of PE in Primary education, in order to know if there were changes in the conception of the school PE after having completed it. In the first story there are many memories related to the technical and traditional approach of the subject as well as to the PE-free time analogy. Teachers’ role is also highlighted as well, changes in terms of the educational stage and the emergence of marginalized groups. In the second story, the fact of having learned and understood the educational value of school PE has positively emerged, which has meant a transformative change in the social representations of students regarding this subject. In conclusion, it is advisable to continue giving voice to the students to create, based on their experiences, beliefs and attitudes, meaningful educational experiences that led to a paradigm shift.

ABSTRACT This article aims to reflect on the social representation of old women in a publicity film of the campaign #velhapraisso by Brazilian cosmetics brand Natura. This brand, in recent years, have sought to value the beauty of Brazilians, from the exaltation of the differences of the various beauties present in Brazil. In the selected campaign, Natura addresses a relevant social issue, old age, representing it in an advertising piece and proposing, also, the discussion on the subject in actions of interaction with the consumers of the brand in its website. In the reflection proposed in this study, we work with the theory of social representations, based on the theoretical proposals of Moscovici (1978) and Jodelet (2001). In these authors viewpoint, social representations can be considered as creations of social groups, which help individuals to recognize behaviors more adequate for one moment or another, as well as to identify and solve certain problems. What is proposed, then, is the identification of the social representation of old age in the said advertising film, that is, how the Natura brand presents old age for its consumers. At the end of this reflection, it was identified that the treatment given to old age encompasses two dimensions, that of the age itself (would be), and the social one, which refers to the adequacy of social behaviors by women, in certain situations.   KEYWORDS: Advertising, old age, women, social representations. This research uses the counter-attitudinal essay paradigm ( Janis & King, 1954 ) to test the effects of social actions on social representations. Thus, students wrote either a pro- or a counter-attitudinal essay on Higher Education. Three forms of counter-attitudinal essays were manipulated countering respectively a) students’ attitudes towards higher education; b) peripheral beliefs or c) central beliefs associated with this representation object. After writing the essay, students expressed their attitudes towards higher education and evaluated different beliefs associated with it. The structural status of these beliefs was also assessed by a “calling into question” test ( Flament, 1994a ). Results show that behavior challenging either an attitude or peripheral beliefs induces a rationalization process, giving rise to minor modifications of the representational field. These modifications are only on the social evaluative dimension of the social representation. On the other hand, when the behavior challenges central beliefs, the same rationalization process induces a cognitive restructuring of the representational field, i.e., a structural change in the representation. These results and their implications for the experimental study of representational dynamics are discussed with regard to the two-dimensional model of social representations ( Moliner, 1994 ) and rationalization theory ( Beauvois & Joule, 1996 ).
