Background: Breast milk is the best food that babies need in the first 6 months of life. The success of exclusive breastfeeding is determined at the beginning of offering ASI on the first day of birth. Exclusive breastfeeding can be constrained by the limited production of breast milk. The SPEOS methods is an alternative to help increase breastfeeding. The SPEOS (Endorphin, Oxytocin, and Suggestive Massage Stimulation) methods is a combination of endorpine, oxytocin, and suggestive massage stimulation carried out sequentially which will feel relaxation that stimulates the brain to release endorphin, prolactin and oxytocin hormones, so that breast milk becomes smooth. In addition, it provides comfort to mothers, increases mother's confidence and removes blockages so that obstacles in breastfeeding can be resolved properly. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of the SPEOS methods in increasing breast milk production in post partum mothers. Method: A literature review through a review of nursing articles to identify SPEOS methods in increasing breast milk production. The databases used are Scopus, Medica Local Update, One Search and Google Schoolar. The journal source is obtained using a prism flow diagram as the database search flow. The article inclusion criteria used were articles related to the SPEOS methods and breast milk production in post partum mothers, articles in English and Indonesian, articles published in 2010 to 2020, and full text articles while the exclusion criteria were articles published over the past 10 years, the use of foreign languages other than English and Indonesian, not intervention studies and articles that are not full text. There were 7 articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria requirements. Results: This literature review shows that the SPEOS methods (Endorphin, Oxytocin, and Suggestive Massage Stimulation) effective in increasing breast milk production in post partum mothers. Conclusion: the SPEOS methods (Endorphin, Oxytocin, and Suggestive Massage Stimulation) effective in increasing breast milk production in post partum mothers.

Background: Breast milk is the best food for babies. But breastmilk production which is little or not smooth in the first days of delivery becomes an obstacle in breastfeeding. The study conducted by Collin and a scot in Australia showed that 556 mothers gave birth as many as 29% had stopped breastfeeding their babies in the second week on the grounds that their milk was lacking. The lack of milk production causes many mothers to easily provide prelacteal foods. This prelacteal feeding causes the amount of exclusive breastfeeding to decrease. Purpose: To obtain a scientific reference source about lactation massage, which in previous studies can increase milk production in postpartum mothers. Methods: This study is a metadata analysis using a literature review that explores the benefits of massage to increase milk production. Literature sources used are journals from Pubmed, Garuda (garba rujukan digital), Doaj, Researchgate and Google Scholar. Results: With the principle of working to maximize the mechanism of prolactin and oxytocin receptors, lactation massage is a solution to overcome the smooth production of breast milk and minimize the side effects of delayed breastfeeding. In a study conducted by Aprilianti, lactation massage had a tendency to rapid onset of lactation 5.57 times greater than mothers who received oxytocin massage. Conclusion: This article tries to examine the problem of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers based on literature review. In general the role of lactation massage is successful in smoothing milk production, but there are a number of things that need to be evaluated.

Abstract: The inadequate, slow production of breast milk makes mothers unable to provide enough breast milk to their babies. Besides the prolactin hormone, the lactation process also depends on oxytocin hormone which is secreted from the posterior hypophysis as a reaction on nipple suckling. Rolling massage is one of the relaxation therapy which aims to stimulate the central nerve on posterior and anterior hypophysis, so the breast milk production can be increased, particularly in the postpartum mothers, and comfort and relaxation after childbirth can be provided. This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of breast milk production in the postpartum mothers with massage rolling (back) in Sri Sukeni Community Empowerment Agency, Sleman. The methodology in this research is Quasi-Experimental Design with two-group posttest design. The control group is postpartum mothers without massage rolling and the treatment group is postpartum mother treated with the massage rolling. Data analysis used the independent t-test and the paired sample t-test. The research shows the result that in samples of t-test, there is a meaningful difference (p = 0.023<) in breast milk production (weight of baby) between control group (2,687.07 ± 160.155) and treatment group (2,846.13 ± 198.968). This difference is shown in the average weight of baby in treatment group which is higher compared with the control group. Massage rolling affects breast milk production in Sri Sukeni Community Empowerment Agency, Sleman in 2017.

The exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia has not yet reached the national level target. Data from Private Hospital in West Jakarta found that there were only 60% of mothers who gave exclusive breast feeding in 2016, 38% of whom said they were unsuccessful due to low breast milk. The method that can be used to increase milk production is Hands on Pumping (HOP) technique, HOP is a technique of flushing the breast milk by relying on the strength of our thumb and index finger. To observe the effect of HOP on breast milk production in post partum mothers. We employed a quasi experimental design with pre and post test design, with the control group. The sample size was 68 mothers post multiparous partum with criteria 34 as the HOP experimental group and 34 post partum mothers as the control group (without HOP). On the third day of the intervention group there was a significant increase in breast milk production from the first day. The experimental group received HOP intervention (34 mothers) with a rise of 121.08 ml. This means that there is a difference in milk production before and after treatment. On the third day, the results of the p value are 0,000, with p value <0.05, which brought to the conclusion that there was an influence of HOP on breast milk production. HOP can significantly increase milk production. Next researcher is recommended to conduct similar research by paying attention to other factors that also affect breast milk production, such as psychological, nutrition, maternal breast conditions, and hormones.

Kata Kunci : Produksi ASI, Breast Care post partum..POSTPARTUM BREASTCARE EFFECTIVENESS OF PRODUCTION ASI ABSTRACTBreast Care Post Partum is a requirement for postpartum mothers. Where to breast care will greatly assist ASI expenditures which impact on the increase in milk production. With the abundant production of milk, the baby will be breastfed exclusively. Scope of exclusive breastfeeding in the district. Semarang in 2014 was still below target at 44.3%, so in Susukan only by 24.8% (Semarang District Health Profile 2014). Many factors affect the low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding, one of which is a factor stimulation in the form of breast care. If a given stimulus in the form of postpartum mothers breast care routine methods will help increase milk production so that mothers can breastfeed exclusively. (Soetjiningsih, 2010). Study is a quasi-experimental research with non equvalentcontrol approach to the design of a study group contained treatment group and the control group. (Notoatmodjo, 2005). The control group was postpartum mothers who do not breast care and the treatment group was puerperal women with breast care. Respondents are postpartum mothers day 1 to day 7. For the treatment group given breast care 2x a day (morning and evening) and then observed their milk production on the 8th day. Respondents number 36 puerperal women, taken by purposive sampling technique consisted of 18 puerperal women with breast care and 18 postpartum mother was not given breast care. Results of independent t-test calculation is known that the value of t-hit (16:40) > t-tab (1.691). It can be concluded that Breastcare Postpastum effectively increase milk production in nursing mothers. Keywords: milk production, post partum Breast Care.
