The aim of this article is to include an overview of international business, with a particular emphasis on strategic international business and organizations. This evolution is mostly attributed to the advancement in research and tracking technologies, which are expanding in lockstep with the evolving attitudes and thoughts of increasingly evolved humans. As a part of this transformational phase, nations must collaborate on both national and regional levels. The aim of this article is to include an overview of international business, with a particular emphasis on strategic international business and organizations. No such thing as a pure national economy exists. The majority of the planet is much too large to dismiss as a consumer or a rival. As a result, we are obligated to educate students about foreign perspectives in order for them to comprehend global economic trends.

The paper discusses the relationships between tourism and international business. The research is based upon combining various theoretical concepts, significant empirical experiences and own attitudes of the authors. The key conclusion of the paper is that, despite of the partial progress in understanding tourism businesses, the relationships between tourism and international business need additional stimulus. In other words, more complete research in the related domains is needed in future. Any understanding of tourism is inadequate without appreciating the contributions that international business might bring, yet at the same time international business is incomplete in its coverage of international trade unless tourism is considered. The consumption-driven agenda of much tourism research has been favoured over supply-side discourses of the production process it self. That is why the role of major transnational companies, setting the trends that other types of firms in the tourism sector follow is focused in the paper.

This chapter focuses on the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH), a global intergovernmental organization which develops and services multilateral legal instruments, in response to global needs. The HCCH Principles affirm party autonomy as a basis for the choice of law in international contracts and strengthen legal certainty and predictability in cross-border commercial transactions. They are important to easing reform and harmonization initiatives concerning the rules applicable to international trade, and they operate as both a model choice of law regime and as a guide to ‘best practices’ in establishing and refining such a regime. The chapter considers the use of the HCCH Principles to date and foreshadows their potential uses in the future. It reviews the envisaged use of the Principles by legislators at national and international levels, international organizations, courts, arbitral tribunals, the commercial parties, and their legal counsel. The chapter then outlines the parties to whom the Principles may be promoted in a manner consistent with the Preamble and identifies specific means for promotion.

Different countries of the world face some misunderstandings or even scandals concerning the inappropriate information about financial problems in different companies, which, in its turn, decreases society's confidence in independent auditing and encourages discussions on the role of auditing in economy. EU, international trade unions, governments make great efforts to improve the quality of independent auditing. The article investigates the functions of auditors, factors influencing the auditing state, the reasons for fraud of financial statements, motives and means, the efforts of international organizations and governments to improve the auditing quality and unsolved auditing problems.

The use of foreign companies in Russian and international business is quite a promising direction in terms of doing business. However, the existence of such favorable conditions makes offshore jurisdictions attractive for the implementation of criminal goals that undermine Russia's economic security.

The aim of the article is a theoretical and methodological justification for strengthening the role of international trade in medicines and equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic, to establish the benefits of free trade, to develop important international trade policy priorities in this field. Materials and methods: Legislation of foreign countries and international organizations, statistical data published by international organizations are the materials of the research. Methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization were applied during the research. Conclusions: It has been proved that the legal regulation of world trade activity by medical supplies are increasingly playing more important roles in the implementation of international development goals. The authors have offered three priorities to all countries: to cooperate globally around the deployment of life-saving medical supplies, publicly commit all countries not to implement export bans or limits on relevant medical supplies; to control all trade measures countries have taken in response to the COVID-19 outbreak; to bring together in a global form measures and procedures to eliminate this phenomenon.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of dynamic capability (DC) of organizations on international expansion and further investigate the moderating role of environmental dynamism in the same context. Design/methodology/approach Based on the dynamic capability view (DCV) theory and related literature on international business strategy, a theoretical model is developed. This model is subsequently validated with the structural equation modelling technique through a survey of 324 respondents from Indian organizations. The study also examines the moderating impacts using the multigroup analysis method. Findings The study finds that organizations’ sensing, seizing and transformational capabilities impact positively and significantly on international marketing capability, as well as on technological innovation capability, which positively and significantly impacts organizations’ international expansion ability. The study also finds that there is a significant moderating impact of environmental dynamism on organizations’ international expansion. Research limitations/implications This study has provided a unique theoretical model which can explain the factors impacting organizations’ ability toward international expansion. The study also provides vital insights and directions to practitioners, researchers and academicians on the international business strategy for the expansion of organizations. The theoretical model, however, cannot be generalized, as data was taken only from Indian firms. Originality/value The study adds to the body of knowledge of international business strategy, international marketing strategy and technological innovation, adding to the scant research on the relationship between organizations’ DC and the international expansion strategy through a unique and tested model with an explanative power of 73%.

Introduction. Changes in the balance of power in the global economy, the increasing role of the Asia-Pacific countries in international trade, the consequences of the global crisis of 2008–2009 led to a revision of foreign trade policy by both developed and developing countries, to an increased application of protective measures of national economy. Theoretical analysis. State economic policy aimed at protecting and realizing the interests of the national economy is protectionism in a broad sense. In a narrow sense, protectionism is considered as a foreign trade policy. The use of historical and logical methods in the study of the foreign trade policy of protectionism made it possible to identify the main stages of its development and the characteristics of each stage. Empirical analysis. The study analyzes the dynamics of the current and financial accounts of the balance of payments of Russia and the largest participants in international trade, shows the degree of their dependence on international trade and their vulnerability to the strengthening of protectionist measures. The article substantiates the need for Russia to pursue a policy of neo-protectionism, stimulate the generation of its own value chains and join regional chains, and actively participate in regional and preferential trade agreements. Results. At the new stage of the foreign trade policy of protectionism, its measures became more hidden, and the role of customs duties faded into the background. The desire to reduce non-tariff barriers, protect intellectual property rights, remove restrictions associated with manipulating the exchange rate, encourage regional integration, the conclusion of preferential trade agreements. In the future, having fulfilled a progressive role, regional and preferential agreements can be transformed into multilateral ones. The creation of a mechanism for such a transformation may become a new function of the reformed WTO.

The author analyses the role of services in the international market. Services sector has significant influence on economic growth and efficiency. Share of services in the world market is in the contrast with great role they play in the domestic market. Because of their intangible nature the trade in services is subject to a much large limitations than the trade in goods. Insufficient data or incomparable data on international trade in services makes this sector hard to analyze. Brought together to solve those problems few international organizations have made Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services. This and many others are ongoing work to set internationally comparable data for the future analysis.
