Organizational justice is about fairness at the workplace. It is essential to enhance performance and success of every organization. The study was conducted to validate Organizational Justice Scale (OJS) in Punjab, Pakistani public school context developed by Neihoff and Moorman (1993). Sample size consisted of 400 randomly selected public school teachers. This study was based upon quantitative approach and cross- sectional survey design was applied in data collection. The data was collected personally from teachers. Factors analysis techniques EFA and CFA were applied to confirm dimensionality, validity and reliability of Organizational Justice Scale (OJS) in schools of Pakistani context. Results are in support of three dimensional model (distributive, procedural & interactional justice) and generalizability of this scale. Furthermore, the results also established adequate reliability and validity (convergent and discriminant validity) of OJS. Further studies can be conducted to further validate the OJS through different types of data analysis software and techniques. In addition, this scale would be useful for measurement of the organizational justice among teachers in schools.

Core competencies in youth work refer to demonstrated capacities of quality performance that allow youth development workers to be resources for the young people, organizations and communities with whom they work. While a number of practice frameworks based on core competencies have been developed, few validated assessment measures exist to help identify professional development needs for youth workers. This article describes the adaptation and psychometric validation of a core competency assessment tool for youth work practitioners in Malaysia. A quantitative study was undertaken to validate an adapted core competency measure with a sample of 300 Malaysian youth workers. Psychometric validation included both internal consistency and construct, convergent and discriminant validity tests. Confirmatory factor analysis yielded 12 core competency sub-scales. Adequate internal consistency was achieved for each subscale along with the full measure. The findings support the validity and reliability of the core competency measure. Recommendations for application and further research are discussed.

Depression and anxiety symptoms are increasingly common in the world population and may damage different aspects of life. In the school context, these symptoms may affect teachers’ self-esteem and educational social skills. This study aimed to evaluate and compare depression and anxiety symptoms, self-esteem and educational social skills in first and last grades elementary public school teachers, with 196 teachers, men and women, aged 18 years or older. The instruments applied were: a sociodemographic questionnaire, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), Population Screening Scale for Depression Epidemiological Studies Center (CES-D), Depressive Symptoms Intensity Survey (LIS-D), the Anxiety Symptoms Intensity Survey (LIS-A), the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), and the Inventory of Educational Social Skills-Teachers (IHSE). The main results indicate differences between the two teachers’ groups regarding the levels of depressive and anxiety symptoms, some educational social skills and self-esteem. Future studies with teachers should consider specific aspects of teaching work.

To establish academic achievement in any public school, teachers have to construct, administer and score tests or examinations. For a valid and reliable assessment of academic achievement, the tests should yield similar and consistent results/grades for comparable groups of students. The validity and reliability of assessment are dependent on many factors among which are administrations of the measurement. This paper focuses on test administration principles and good practices in schools; highlighting principles and good test administration practices and concluding with a summary of the suggestions that, if followed, lead to successful test administration in a any given public school system.

Given the importance of teachers ' understanding of organizational justice and its effect on their organizational commitment, the literature of teachers and schools lacks evidence about the relations between these factors in developing countries. This research seeks to investigate the direct influence of organizational justice on teachers committed to their schools. the study consists of three dimensions of Organizational justice namely: distributive, procedural, and interactional justice as a dependent variables and organizational commitment as an independent variable. The study conducted among eight official secondary schools. However, Stratified random sampling choice depending on the total of teachers at each school, Data Collection Method was using a structured questionnaire by self-administrative. SPSS has analysed the 92 valid surveys. The results indicated there is a positive and significant relationship between Organizational justice dimensions and organizational commitment, distributive justice  found highly correlated with organizational commitment. However, the three dimensions of Organizational justice positively and significantly predicted organizational commitment among secondary school teachers. The study could provide some significant literature contributions on the Organizational justice and organizational commitment of secondary school teachers in developing countries.

Organizational justice is an individual's fair perception of organizational decisions taken by its leaders. Researchers conducted a psychometric analysis to determine the validity and reliability of the organizational justice scale. The organizational justice scale is based on three dimensions: distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice. The pilot study involved 36 students who were members of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, Indonesia. The validity test uses content validity, product-moment item selection while measuring reliability using Cronbach's alpha which is analyzed using SPSS version 25. The analysis results prove that 32 items are feasible and reliable with Cronbach's alpha value of 0.948. Thus, the organizational justice scale can be used for research on student organizations.

ABSTRACTConduct Disorder (CD) can pose serious concerns to parents, home and the society, meanwhile assessing this construct in clinical practice has been based on western concepts which limited the cultural factors implicated in CD. This study presents a reliable and valid screening tools for conduct disorder among juveniles and general population respectively. Existing scales that assessed deviant behavior or CD were reviewed. A qualitative study was conducted using juveniles and college students between the age 10 to 19; this is to determine salient constructs related to CD. Themes were generated, and those related to specific predictors of CD were used to generate a 17-item of Brief Propensity Index for Conduct Disorder (BPI-CD). A cross-sectional survey was then conducted among 125 juveniles and college students to assess the reliability and validity of the scale. The participants were purposively selected. Construct validity using exploratory factor analysis was factored and Varimax rotated the scale into six components (KMO = .685, df=171, p<.001). Convergent validity results showed a significant relationship between BPI-CD and Youth Deviant Behavior Variety Scale (r=.338, p<.01), while discriminant validity results revealed a non-significant relationship between (BPI-CD) and Social Skills Scale (r=.101, p>.05), thus showing a strong validity. The reliability dimensions and subscales have meritorious reliability (Aggression to People/Animals, α =.76, Serious Violation of rule and destruction of property, α =.73; Deceitfulness and theft, α =.68). The overall Cronbach’s Alpha was 0.86. BPI-CD is therefore recommended as reliable and valid screening tool for conduct disorder tendency.

Purpose In the literature of mergers and social justice, equality is regarded as a crucial phenomenon to achieve social integration. This paper is based on the philosophy that during mergers and acquisitions (M&As), the employees who experience the equal distribution of resources, equal respect to each other’s policies and procedures, and fair and respectful interactions, are more likely to have a sense of control and lower social isolation and hence tend to get influenced positively by the M&A process. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to study the relationship between perceived organizational justice and employee feelings of alienation during post-M&As. Design/methodology/approach A cross-sectional survey research design has been used. This study was undertaken on a sample of 315 employees from five organizations in India. The quantitative data were subjected to univariate and bivariate analysis, while qualitative data were subjected to relational content analysis. Different dimensions of justice were studied in relation to the feelings of alienation using multiple correlational analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. Findings Multiple correlational analyses revealed significant negative correlation of perceived organizational justice and of all of its dimensions with all the dimensions of alienation. However, the results of the hierarchical regression analysis found interactional justice and distributive justice to be the major predictors of alienation during M&As. Apart from the quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis also revealed interesting insights, unique to the individual organization. Originality/value The study has significant value for both MNCs and researchers. This study has strong implications for the multinational corporations that are making inroads into M&As but consistently failing due to employee issues. This study also presents future directions to the researchers to explore more in the area of soft issues of M&As.

Abstract. Varimax rotated principal component scores (VRPCS) have previously been offered as a possible solution to the non-orthogonality of scores for the Big Five factors. However, few researchers have examined the reliability and validity of VRPCS. To address this gap, we use a lab study and a field study to investigate whether using VRPCS increase orthogonality, reliability, and criterion-related validity. Compared to the traditional unit-weighting scoring method, the use of VRPCS enhanced the reliability and discriminant validity of the Big Five factors, although there was little improvement in criterion-related validity. Results are discussed in terms of the benefit of using VRPCS instead of traditional unit-weighted sum scores.
