Abstract. The main objective of this study is to apply Discrete Mathematical Analysis (DMA) to the development of the methodology of cyclostratigraphy. This aim is supported by exploring the magnetic properties of rocks, the lithology of sediments and obtained geochronological reference definitions. The analysis was based on measurements of the variability of the magnetic susceptibility of rocks, which reflects climate variations. Astronomical cycles are global; this makes it possible to carry out a correlation analysis over a large area and on different facial types of sediments, considering their lithology and other sedimentary features. The introduction of modern methods of mathematical processing of geological data is one of the prospective areas for investigation and development in geoscience. Astronomical cycles can be revealed from measurements of scalar magnetic parameters of rocks (magnetic susceptibility as presented by the authors). Specific software developed by the authors allows the processing of measurement data and assessment of the presence of stable oscillation cycles based on the obtained measurement base. The present study attempts to apply mathematical methods to magnetic data using the existing PAST program, which allows spectral analysis of primary data with the construction of Lomb-Scargle and REDFIT periodograms. We interpret the spectral analysis data based on paleomagnetic determinations, considering the available dates for the boundaries of direct and reverse polarity chrons on a general stratigraphic scale.

Two-dimensional magnetic inversions were performed with the purpose to obtain information about the magnetic susceptibility, depth and volume of true magnetic sources located in the basement adjacent to the Sergipe-Alagoas basin, in the transition zone between the Pernambuco-Alagoas Domain and the northern portion of the Sergipano Belt (Borborema Province, NE Brazil) and to delineate its geometries. The magnetic data processing was performed to interpret geological contacts, source’s edge boundaries and mapping of folds and shear zones. In the results of the magnetic inversion, a source was found in the Rio Coruripe domain between 9 and 21 km in depth with a magnetic susceptibility of 0.0079 (SI) and another in the Pernambuco-Alagoas domain between 7.5 and 9 km with a magnetic susceptibility of 0.0077 (SI). The basement’s depth was obtained through spectral analysis, whose base was found at 37.7 km. In addition, gravity models were created with the purpose to verify the information obtained by the magnetic inversion and spectral analysis, which was useful to understand how these sources interfere in the structure of the basement and how it affected its tectonic model.

The objective of this research is to find out whether the application Preview, Read,Write, and Recite (PRWR) method improve student’s achievement in readingrecount text. This research applied classroom action research model. This studywas done in six meetings. The subject of this study was first year of SMAN 1Delitua. Primary data were collected by giving 20 questions of multiple-choicetest, the aspects contained in the tests focused on generic structure, main ideas,factual information, and Secondary data were collected by (interview, observationsheet, and questionnaire sheet. Based on analysis data, it was found that thestudent’s achievement improved. It could be seen from the comparison of result inthe orientation test and the cycle test I and II. There were only 9 students who hadpassed minimum criteria KKM in orientation test (75). The improvement showedthat in cycle I and II, based on the total average score it was 16 (42,4%) up to 26(78,7%) in cycle II, The secondary data gathered from interview, observationsheet, and questionnaire sheet, showed that students’ expression and enthusiasticalso improved. Thus, it was found that the applications of Preview, Read, Write,and Recite (PRWR) method in process of teaching improved students’achievement in reading recount text. It is suggested that English teachers applyPRWR method in teaching reading recount text.

The presented work examines application of an Augmented Iteratively Re-weighted and Refined Least Squares method (AIRRLS) to construct a 3D magnetic susceptibility property from potential field magnetic anomalies. This algorithm replaces an lp minimization problem by a sequence of weighted linear systems in which the retrieved magnetic susceptibility model is successively converged to an optimum solution, while the regularization parameter is the stopping iteration numbers. To avoid the natural tendency of causative magnetic sources to concentrate at shallow depth, a prior depth weighting function is incorporated in the original formulation of the objective function. The speed of lp minimization problem is increased by inserting a pre-conditioner conjugate gradient method (PCCG) to solve the central system of equation in cases of large scale magnetic field data. It is assumed that there is no remanent magnetization since this study focuses on inversion of a geological structure with low magnetic susceptibility property. The method is applied on a multi-source noise-corrupted synthetic magnetic field data to demonstrate its suitability for 3D inversion, and then is applied to a real data pertaining to a geologically plausible porphyry copper unit.  The real case study located in  Semnan province of  Iran  consists  of  an arc-shaped  porphyry  andesite  covered  by  sedimentary  units  which  may  have  potential  of  mineral  occurrences, especially  porphyry copper. It is demonstrated that such structure extends down at depth, and consequently exploratory drilling is highly recommended for acquiring more pieces of information about its potential for ore-bearing mineralization.

    This study aims to analyze the effect of price and location on Alfamidi's customer satisfaction in Pagelaran Village, Bogor. The method used is descriptive and associative quantitative analysis, data collection used in this study using primary data sourced from questionnaires distributed to customers of Alfamidi Raya Ciomas who are in Pagelaran Village. Sampling using the saturated sample technique where the sample is consumers who have shopped at Alfamidi in the performance village. The sample used was 100 Alfamidi customer respondents in Pagelaran Village. Based on the results of the study showed that 1) price had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, 2) location had a positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction, 3) price and location together had a positive effect on customer satisfaction. positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction in shopping for Alfamidi customers in Pagelaran Village.

Airborne magnetic data covering geographical latitudes of 7000‟N to 7030‟N and longitudes of 3 30′E to 4 00′E within Ibadan area were obtained from Nigeria Geology Survey Agency. The data were ana-lyzed to map the sub surface structure and the source parameters were deduced from the quantitative and qualitative interpretation of magnetic data. The upward continuation technique was used to de-emphasize short – wavelength anomaly while the depth to magnetic sources in the area was deter-mined using local wavenumber technique, the analytic signal was also employed to obtain the depths of the magnetic basement. Analysis involving the local wavenumber, upward continuation and appar-ent magnetic susceptibility techniques significantly improves the interpretation of magnetic data in terms of delineating the geological structure, source parameter and magnetic susceptibility within Iba-dan area.. These depth ranges from 0.607km to 2.48km. The apparent susceptibility map at the cut-off wavelength of 50 m ranges from -0.00012 to 0.00079 which agree with the susceptibility value of some rock types; granite gneiss, migmatite biotite gneiss, biotite muscovite granite, hornblende granite, quartz and schists. The result of the local wavenumber suggests variation along the profiles in the surface of magnetic basement across the study area.

<p>Copper is one of the most important critical metal resources needed to achieve carbon neutrality with a projected increase in demand of >300% over the next half century from electronics and renewables.  Porphyry deposits account for most of the global copper production, but the discovery of new reserves is ever more challenging. Machine learning presents an opportunity to cross reference new and traditionally under-utilised data sets with a view to developing quantitative predictive models of hydrothermal alteration zones to guide new, ambitious exploration programs.</p><p>The aim of this study is to demonstrate a new alteration classification scheme driven by quantitative magnetic and spectral data to feed a machine learning algorithm. The benefits of an alteration model based on quantitative data rather than subjective observations by geologists, are that there is no bias in the data collected, the arising model is quantifiable and therefore easy to model and the process be fully automated. Ultimately, this approach aids more detailed exploration and mine modelling, in turn, reducing the extraction process carbon footprint and more effectively identifying new deposits.</p><p>Presented here are magnetic susceptibility and shortwave infrared (SWIR) data collected from the KazMinerals plc. owned Aktogay Cu-Mo giant porphyry deposit, eastern Kazakhstan, which has a throughput of 30Mtpa of ore. These data are cross referenced using a newly developed machine learning algorithm. Generated autonomously, our results reveal twelve statistically and geologically significant clusters that define a new alteration classification for porphyry style mineralisation. Results are entirely non-subjective, reproducible, quantitative and modellable.</p><p>Importantly, magnetic susceptibility measurements improve the algorithm’s ability to identify clusters by between 29-36%; enhancing the sophistication of the included magnetic data promises to yield substantially better statistical results. Magnetic remanence data are therefore being complied on representative samples from each of the twelve identified clusters, including hysteresis, isothermal remanent magnetisation (IRM) acquisition, FORC measurements, natural remanent magnetisation (NRM) and anhysteretic remanent magnetisation (ARM). Through collaboration with industry partners, we aim to develop an automated means of collecting these magnetic remanence data to accompany the machine learning algorithm.</p>

Phosphinates of copper(II) of the type Cu(R2PO2)2 where R is n-octyl, n-decyl, and n-dodecyl have been synthesized and characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, vibrational and electronic spectroscopy, and variable temperature (300 to 4.2 K) magnetic susceptibility studies. Each of these compounds was obtained in distinct α and β structural forms. All materials appear to have the double phosphinate bridged extended chain structure and the magnetic data have been successfully analyzed according to the isotropic Heisenberg model for linear chains. The α forms exhibit antiferromagnetic behaviour with J values of −25, −29, and −29 cm−1 for the octyl, decyl, and dodecyl derivatives respectively. The β forms are ferromagnetic and have corresponding J values of 1.8, 2.1, and 2.3 cm−1 respectively. Magneto-structural correlations in these extended chain coordination polymers are discussed.

Logging the forest production is a high risk work. The condition of the forest acreage is difficult, the imbalance between the tools used by condition of the field and the skills of workers can lead to accidents. One of supporting job in the process of logging the forest production is the operation of the chainsaw that has hazards and risks which must be controlled. The main objective of this research was to risk assessment in the operational of the chainsaw in the work to cutting down trees in Perhutani KPH Madiun. This research was an observational research that conducted using cross sectional design and descriptive analysis. Data were used primary data based on interviews, observations and secondary data collected from the company. This research performed based on work activities of operating chainsaw. The result showed that based on idetification of hazards in activities of operating chainsaw in cutting trees, there were18 hazards Risk assessment showed that from 18 pure risks, there were 4 low risks,7 medium risks and 7 high risks. The conclusion from this research is the risk most dominant obtained from the risk assessment is high risk and risks while each one had the amount of 7 danger or 39 % of all the potential here hazards, to at a job should not be continued, work that needs to be set repeated or attempts to control at work to reduce the risk. Control must be reviewed for conformity before work began.Keywords: cut timber, identification hazards, risk assessment

Purpose of the study: Within 10 years, the central government of Indonesia has granted the special autonomy fund to Aceh as a strategy to improve the welfare of Acehnese. Contrary, the special autonomy funds that cannot be implemented properly-affected to the poverty in Aceh-is not significantly decreased. This study aims to determine the failure of special autonomy funds to decrease poverty in Aceh. Methodology: This research used descriptive qualitative methods by conducting the primary data through interviews, also secondary data through books, journals, newspapers, and other related sources. The analysis data is doing by using Transactional Political Theory. Main Findings: The results of this study indicate that asymmetric decentralization can be seen from the weak Regional Economic Growth Rate and the slow improvement of the Quality of Human Development Index (HDI). Thus the failure was caused by two things, namely: the thick Political Content of The Local Political Elite and the Domination of Local Political Elite in the Management of Aceh's Special Autonomy Fund in the Compilation of Planning and Work Programs. The absence of control in the management of special autonomy funds is based on project performance without good planning, and the existence of interest-based planning in the management of special autonomy funds that based on populist activity programs following the wishes of politicians which have an impact on weak regional economic growth, slow index improvement of human development quality, high poverty rates, and high unemployment in Aceh. Applications of this study: The finding of this study offered the evaluation systems for the government of Aceh to strengthen better local government governance, especially in increasing budget planning and implementation efficiency and strengthening regulations, and implementing an e-planning system to select program activities from the Aceh special autonomy fund. Novelty/Originality of this study: Based on the literature review conducted, there were limited publications which are focusing on the failure of autonomy funds in Aceh. Therefore this research will enrich the publication that concerns the failure of managing special autonomy funds in Aceh.
