An 88-year-old right-handed man was admitted to our hospital for cognitive impairment and right-sided paralysis. His head non-contrast computed tomography (CT) showed large low-density areas (LDA) and fibrous structures in the left occipital and temporal lobe regions. Despite the fact that it had been more than 10 years since his stroke, rehabilitation was effective. This is a rare case in which cerebellar culmen -substantia nigra tract assisted rehabilitation after stroke.

Bonebridge (BB) is the first active implantation system for bone conduction that is placed fully under the skin. Experience suggests that BB is characterized by low incidence of postoperative complications. This case report presents a rare case of a 16-year-old girl with incidence of emphysema occurring over the implant 1 year after operation. We performed a computed tomography scan that showed pockets of gas above the floating mass transducer so we provided the revision surgery and sealed the artificial opening with fat from the earlobe and fibrin glue. Since that time, no air has collected in the retroauricular area and the implant has been fully functional.

Bilateral Tessier no. 7 clefts are rarely reported in the literature. Here, we describe the presence of accessory maxilla with supernumerary teeth in a patient who exhibited bilateral Tessier no. 7 clefts; the diagnosis was established based on the patient’s history, clinical presentation, and computed tomography images. A review of the available literature revealed 24 patients with Tessier no. 7 clefts from 2000 to 2020, including our patient. The most common clinical manifestation in patients with Tessier no. 7 clefts comprises bilateral facial clefts. Additionally, Tessier no. 7 clefts are more frequently found in boys or men, rather than in girls or women. The presence of an accessory maxilla with supernumerary teeth in a patient with bilateral Tessier no. 7 clefts is extremely rare. Early detection of craniofacial abnormalities is important, because it may influence patient prognosis and management.

There have been no reports of ruptured solid pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPN) into adjacent organs. A 22-year-old female was referred to our hospital for treatment of a pancreatic head tumor. Computed tomography (CT) examination at our hospital showed a 5-cm tumor containing air, although CT at a previous hospital revealed an 8-cm tumor without air. Thus, a spontaneous rupture of the tumor into the duodenum was suspected. Subtotal stomach preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy with combined resection of the portal vein was performed. Contrast radiography of resected specimen showed the medium injected into the tumor leaking out from the 2nd portion of the duodenum. Histologically, the patient was diagnosed as SPN. Microscopic invasion to the portal vein and duodenum were also confirmed. She did not experience any postoperative complications and has remained well without any signs of recurrence during 2 years of follow-up. Although there have been 14 studies reporting ruptured SPN, this is the first report of SPN that spontaneously ruptured into the duodenum. An extremely rare case of SPN of the pancreatic head that spontaneously ruptured into the duodenum was reported.

Primary pulmonary meningiomas are rare and mostly benign tumors. They usually appear as a solid peripheral pulmonary nodule on chest radiography and computed tomography and are frequently diagnosed incidentally. Herein, we report a 55-year-old female case of primary pulmonary meningioma mimicking pulmonary metastasis.

Round ligament varicosities occur almost exclusively in pregnant and postpartum women and present similarly to inguinal hernias clinically, thus posing diagnostic challenges to clinicians. The distinction of the two conditions is important as round ligament varicosities do not require surgery while inguinal hernias do. Rarely, round ligament varicosites may be complicated by thrombosis or hemorrhage. In this case report, we present a rare case of round ligament varicosity (RLV) which has been complicated by thrombosis. The radiological features on ultrasound and contrast computed tomography of a thrombosed RLV are presented.

Gall bladder carcinoma is an exceedingly rare and fatal cancer with a high mortality rate.  Detecting gall bladder carcinoma in early stages can be difficult, despite improvements in ultrasound and computed tomography (CT) imaging. Most diagnoses of gallbladder carcinoma are made at advanced stages, with majority being found incidentally during surgery for cholelithiasis.  The presented case demonstrates suspicion of Gallbladder carcinoma pre-operatively.
