Speaking Ability was the important aspect in communication. The aim of the study was to investigate the improving speaking ability through storytelling in teaching speaking at eight grade of SMAN 1 Lambitu. This research used classroom action research. The subjects in this research were the students at the eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Lambitu. The sample were 16 students in one class. The researcher used the technique of storytelling through recount text to improve speaking skill. Quantitative data analysis technique used this research through average score and percentage of students’ test, while qualitative data analysis was taken from analysis of observation during the classroom. The result of this study was in cycle I was at fair category (60-70) which average score was 67,4. It indicated the students’ ability in storytelling was not active (<50%)., which the critical success 31,5%. While in cycle II, the result of students’ score was 75,3, which means that the students were good category (60-79). The result was indicated that the students habits in storytelling technique in cycle II was active (<80%). Moreover the result of observation were student enjoy the lesson and follow the teaching and learning process smoothly and regularly. So, the conclusion that story telling technique was improving students’ speaking ability at Eleventh Grade of SMA 1 Lambitu.

This study aims to determine the activities of students and know the learning outcomes. The method used by researchers is to use the Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. For data collection techniques used are observations and tests with the research subject is class X Accounting for SMK Negeri 1 Katingan Hilir 2015/2016 Academic Year. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that: (1) learning activities of students of class X Accounting II at SMK Negeri 1 Katingan Hilir using the more active PAILKEM strategy, (2) there was an increase in accounting learning costs for students of class X Accounting II at SMK Negeri 1 Katingan Hilir using the PAILKEM strategy which shows Accounting learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average of 76.20 with classical completeness of 65.51% and in the second cycle the median was 82.41 with artistic integrity of 89.65%.

This study aims to: (1) produce debating teaching materials based on a model of jurisprudence in Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar High School IT; (2) examine the feasibility of debating material teaching materials based on the model of jurisprudence in class X SMA IT Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar. This research was designed with research and development. The design of this study is R2D2 (Recursive, Reflective Design and Development Model). The data in this study are qualitative and quantitative data from the assessment of experts and practitioners. Qualitative data comes from comments, criticisms, and suggestions from expert and practitioner evaluations of teaching materials. Quantitative data is sourced from scores of expert and practitioner evaluations of the components of teaching materials. The data analysis technique of this study is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis, namely grouping data and concluding data in the form of comments, suggestions, and criticism from experts and practitioners to improve teaching materials and quantitative data analysis that is looking for the average of each indicator of expert judgment and practitioners for product feasibility. Components of the results of the assessment of teaching materials indicate that the component of content eligibility obtained an average of 3.39, the presentation component of 3.53, the language component of 3.47, the graphic component of 3.64, and the implications for developing competency debating 3.83. This research and development resulted in the product of the Arguing Teaching Material Based on a Model of jurisprudence that had been assessed by experts and practitioners. The results of expert and practitioner evaluations of teaching materials indicate that the assessment is in a very feasible category.

This study aims to determine the increase in student activity by applying the contextual teaching and learning model aided by pop-up media. This research was conducted in grade V elementary school with the number of students 26. The method used is a classroom action research method that lasted for 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. Analysis of the data used is quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis. the results of observations in cycle I get an average percentage of 68.07% with qualifications need guidance, and in cycle II increased to 84% with good qualifications. From the research that has been done it can be concluded that the contextual teaching and learning model is assisted Pop-up book media can increase student activity.

The aim of this research was to improve the speaking learning process of eight grade students ofSMP Islam Terpadu (IT) QurrotaA’yunPaluin the academic year of 2019/2020 through animation movie. This study was an class action research study. It was conducted in two cycles, from the 4th of March to the 12th of March 2020. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. The steps of the research were planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were 30 students of VIII D class, the English teacher, and the researcher. The data were in the form of qualitative data and also supported by quantitative data. The qualitative data were obtained by observing the teaching and learning process, interviewing the students and collaborators, holding discussions with the collaborators, and taking pictures of the teaching and learning process. Meanwhile, the quantitative data were obtained through post-test, the field notes and interview transcripts were analyzed qualitatively through four steps namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The results of this research showed that the implementation of animation movie in the speaking learning process was effective to make the students become enthusiastic in the Englishspeaking activities. The use of animation movie that was combined with speaking performances and group works made significant progress in the speaking learning process. The students were interested towards the materials, could understand the materials easily, and spoke more confidently. In reference to the number, the students who was completely the score of speaking skill was improved from 70% to 80% and the number of the students who has a high confidence in speaking was improved from 78% to 82,66%. The students’ interest level toward speaking was improved through the use of animation movies because they could learn speaking English through fun activities with their friends. Therefore, they were not bored in the teaching-learning process.

<p class="Default">This study aims to improve the ability to read the beginning through the activities of storytelling with media variations and know the process of improving the ability to read the beginning through the storytelling activities with media variations. The research method used is action research with Kemmis and Taggart model. Research subjects were 16 KB children. This study was conducted in two cycles consisting of eight meetings in a cycle so that there were sixteen meetings. Technique of collecting data is done through observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis used is data reduction, data display, and verification. Quantitative data analysis is used to find out the percentage of reading ability improvement after the beginning of the implementation of the action using the graph. The result of the research shows that the improvement of the understanding of children's geometry can be seen from the average prasiklus value of 58, the average of cycle I average 77, and cycle II with an average of 90. So it can be concluded that the activities of storytelling with media variations can improve the ability to read the beginning</p>

Language teachers play an important roles on teaching and   learning   process,   choosing   the   methods,   and designing the goal of the study. All their targets are based on how well they collaborate the methods and designs through the experiences and knowledge they have during the  process   of  teaching  and   learning.   Audio-lingual method was chosen to know the effectiveness, advantages, disadvantages, strenghts, and weaknesses   in improving the speaking skill of the fifth grade students of elementary school. The qualitative and quantitative data were used in this research. Qualitative data were taken from the scores of the pre-test and all cycles. The quantitative data were taken through the observation, interview, and questionnaire. Based on the discussions and conclusions, audio-lingual method is recommended to improve the speaking skill of elementary students.Key words: audio-lingual method, speaking skill, teaching learning process

This study attempts to improve students’ vocabulary achievement through Clustering Technique. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of the research was class VIII-B SMP Katolik Trisakti 2 Medan that consisted of 32 students. The research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of three meetings. The instruments for collecting data were vocabulary tests for quantitative data and diary notes, observation sheet and questionnaire sheet for qualitative data. Students’ score kept improving in every test. In the first cycle test, the mean of vocabulary score was 64.68. And in the second cycle test, the mean of vocabulary score was 79.85. Based on diary notes, observation sheet and questionnaire sheet, teaching and learning process had done effectively showed the improvement. Every student was studied actively. And from the research can be concluded that Clustering Technique can improve students’ achievement in vocabulary.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis android untuk memudahkan pemahaman konsep trigonometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang didukung data kuantitatif. Model Pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE. Karya inovasi ini dibuat dengan macromediaflash 8. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 8 siswa pada ujicoba kelompok kecil dan 30 siswa pada ujicoba kelompok besar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data kualitatif dengan menggunakan model Miles Huberman.Hasilpengembangan diperoleh sebuah media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa untuk mempermudah mengingat rumus trigonometri. Kata kunci: Media pembelajaran, android, konsep trigonometri Abstract [The Development of Interactive Android Based Learning Media to Facilitate Understanding of Trigonometric Concepts]. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive android based learning media to facilitate understanding of trigonometric concepts. This research is a development research with qualitative approach supported by quantitative data. Development model used is ADDIE. The innovation work was made with Macromedia Flash 8. The subjects in this study consisted of 8 students on a small group trial and 30 students on a large group trial. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews. Qualitative data analysis technique using Miles Huberman model. The results of the development obtained a learning media that can help students to simplify remembering the trigonometric formula. Think-Pair-Share technique is one of the cooperative learning strategies that promote student involvement in the classroom. This strategy makes students engaged in in-class activities such as discussions and provides opportunities to share their ideas with others. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share strategy in teaching speaking skill for secondary students. A qualitative method with a descriptive analysis was undertaken in this study. The sample was twenty students of eighth grade. The data was collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The data analysis technique used was presented in a descriptive form. The results indicated the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share technique during the learning process took place following the stages that have been stated in the learning process plan made by the teacher. Appreciation for the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share technique both from students is quite good. Students stated that they can overcome the constraints in the learning process of speaking activity through Think-Pair-Share.
