Neoceratitis is revised to include six species. N. albiseta, from Madagascar, is described as new. Trirhithrum lycii var. min-imum Bezzi, 1924 is a junior synonym of Ceratitis lycii Coquillett, 1901, new synonym. All known and suspected hostassociations are within the family Solanaceae, with one species (N. cyanescens) infesting tomatoes and several species ofSolanum, whereas the other species with known hosts are associated with Lycium spp. Neoceratitis is probably similar toTrirhithrum Bezzi and particularly to the little known Paratrirhithrum Shiraki. Redescriptions (description in the case of the new species) and illustrations are provided for all the species, and a key to all the species is also provided.

The genus Lesticus in China was studied, with descriptions of four new species: L.auripennissp. n. (Guangdong: Nanling, 24.93°N, 112.09°E); L.biisp. n. (Xizang: Mêdog, 29.32°N, 95.34°E); L.xiaodongisp. n. (Yunnan: Yingjiang, 24.71°N, 97.58°E); and L.violaceoussp. n. (Yunnan: Yingjiang, 24.71°N, 97.58°E). One new synonym is proposed: L.dubius Dubault, Lassalle & Roux, is a junior synonym of L.solidus Roux & Shi. An improved key and a catalogue accommodating all known Chinese Lesticus species are provided. Species relationships and the evolution of endophallic and other characters are preliminarily discussed.

Thirteen centiped species and one symphylan are reported from the Galápagos Islands. Hanseniella caldaria (Hansen) is the first symphylan reported from the Galápagos Islands. Among the centipeds, Hemiscolopendra galapagosa Chamberlin is a new synonym of Scolopendra galapagoensis Bollman and should be deleted from the Galápagos list. Cormocephalus andinus Kraepelin, its probable junior synonym C. carolus Chamberlin, and Nannopodellus purpurascens Chamberlin, previously reported from the Galápagos Islands, were not in any collections made from 1974 to the present and may be extinct on the islands. Lamyctes coeculus (Brölemann), Lamyctes fulvicornis Meinert, and Newportia monticola Pocock are new records, and first appear in collections made in 1974. Two new species, Pectiniunguis krausi and Pachymerium perdrai, are described. The former had been misidentified previously as Pectiniunguis albermarlensis Chamberlin. While Pectiniunguis albemarlensis and Scolopendra galapagoensis may be Galápagos endemics, lack of knowledge about the centiped fauna of source areas precludes definitive statements.

A new species of Notocyrtus, N. costai sp. nov. is described from Surinam. Photographs in dorsal and lateral views are provided for this new species. Notocyrtoides Carvalho, Costa & Gil-Santana, 2001, is considered to be a junior synonym of Coilopus Elkins, 1969, with N. tuberculatus Carvalho, Costa & Gil-Santana, 2001, as a junior synonym of C. vellus Elkins, 1969. New occurrences of other Harpactorini species are recorded for the first time from Brazil: Harpactor rhombeus (Erichson, 1848), Orbella exceptio Bérenger, 2007, and Orbella putshkovi Bérenger, 2007; and from Surinam Notocyrtus dorsalis (Gray, 1832). Remarks on the color variation of these species and Notocyrtus ricciae Gil-Santana & Costa, 2001, and Notocyrtus dispersus Carvalho & Costa, 1992, are given.

A revision of the emphorine bee genus Ancyloscelis in Argentina is presented. The genus extends from the United States to the center of Argentina, but the maximum diversity of morphological structures is found among South American species. Its species form two distinctive groups regarding their mouthparts: one of them with hooked setae on the proboscis, and the other one with simple or plumose setae on the proboscis. To the first group belong in Argentina, A. bonariensis Brèthes, A. halictoides (Holmberg), A. mesopotamica (Holmberg), and the new species A. holmergi. To the second group belong in Argentina A. apiformis (Fabricius), A. romeroi (Holmberg), A. saltensis Rodríguez & Roig-Alsina, and A. nigricornis Rodríguez & Roig-Alsina. Lectotype designations are made for Leptergatis bonariensis Brèthes and Leptergatis mesopotamica Holmberg. Ancyloscelis turmalis Vachal is a junior new synonym of Ancyloscelis mesopotamica. The synonymy of Ancyloscelis gigas Friese as junior synonym of Ancyloscelis halictoides is confirmed. Descriptions, illustrations, and a key to the species are provided.

A new species of the praying mantis genus Arria Stål, Arria purasp. nov. from southwest China is described and illustrated. An overview, comparison, and distribution data of this tribe are given. A new synonym is created: Sinomiopteryx yunnanensis Xu, 2007 is a junior synonym of Arria pallida (Zhang, 1987). One new combination Arria brevifrons (Wang, 1991) comb. nov. (from Sinomiopteryx Tinkham), is proposed.

ABSTRACT One leafhopper species of the genus Portanus Ball, 1932 is synonymized: P. spinosus is considered junior synonym of P. hasemani. In this paper, we offer the redescription of P. hasemani as well as description of two new species of Portanus, based on specimens from the type series of Scaphoideus punctulatus Osborn, 1923 (= P. hasemani): P. bifurcus sp. nov. and P. delsara sp. nov. The descriptions are based on features from the external morphology and male genital structures. Comparisons of the two new taxa with the remaining Portanus species are provided.

Recently, we reviewed the specimens of the genus Rhopalopsole Klapálek, 1912 we have collected and checked the holotype and paratypes of Rhopalopsole duyuzhoui Sivec & Harper, 2008. We present morphological evidence that R. duyuzhoui is a junior synonym of Rhopalopsole basinigra Yang & Yang, 1995, and that R. basiningra is a new distribution record to Guizhou Province, southwestern China. Additionally, a new species of this genus from Guizhou Province, Rhopalopsole dicondylica Yang & Du, sp. nov. is described and illustrated. The new species is compared to the similar species of this genus.
