Abstract A coordinated nexus of agricultural resources is vital to achieve food security and sustainable development in China. Comprehensively considering the water–energy–food nexus as well as the external environment, this study adopts a three-stage data envelopment analysis (DEA) modelling evaluation method to assess the agricultural production efficiency (APE) of seven provinces in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River (MLYR) during 1996–2015. The results show that the three-stage DEA modelling evaluation method reveals real APE and is considered to be a better quantitative method than conventional approaches. A gradually widening range of APE is an important challenge for this region. Significantly, this region generates huge demands for agricultural resources. Moreover, regional emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) decreased from 34.20 million tons standard coal in 1996 to 32.11 million tons standard coal in 2015, though APE has continued to decrease by 2.56% in the past two decades. In general, the management and technology levels should be improved simultaneously, even though specific opportunities for APE improvement vary across provinces in MLYR. However, understanding the temporal and spatial variation of APE along with the WEF nexus from a production-based insight is a vital step toward appropriately targeted policy making for nationwide resources savings and emissions reduction.

The article discusses the relevance of the problem of energy efficiency of industrial enterprises, along with increasing environmental safety of production and increasing social responsibility. The technique of estimation of production efficiency and its influence in management of ecological system on the basis of energy-entropy method is considered. Relevant questions are: improvement of the universal principles of energy efficiency in specific sectors and to develop tools of economic analysis energy infrastructure of industrial enterprises on the basis of the energy-entropy method using various ratios and find new ways of efficient use of energy. The purpose of this article is to develop new methods for assessing the efficiency of production and management. The problem is largely actualized by the fact that at present the question of assessing the effectiveness of energy systems management.

INPHO is foreign professional digital photogrammetry software, including aerial triangulation encryption, digital terrain model matching, the digital orthophoto rectification and image mosaic series modules. This paper, taking DMC image as a case study, according to production practice, states the method of making Digital Orthophoto Map (DOM) using all relevant modules of INPHO, and further points out several notes in the process of making DOM. Practice shows that making DOM using INPHO series software and paying attention to the mentioned precautions can speed up production rate, improve production efficiency, while its mode of operation is also greatly simplified compared with the normal mode of operation. It is a good way of making DOM.

A large-scale powder-painting scheduling problem is explored. The purpose is to find out the optimal sequence of a number of batches that dynamically arrive from upstream processes within a given scheduling horizon. The objective is to enhance the production efficiency and decrease the production cost as well. To solve this problem, a mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model is constructed and an algorithm called greedy randomized adaptive search procedure (GRASP) is designed. Case studies demonstrate that the proposed approach can improve the production performance significantly.
